The corruption in this Post Office is ridiculous and no one in the community doesn't do anything about it. Besides everyone in this Post Office having an attitude for whatever reason, they also steal public parking from tax paying citizens. The USPS trucks are allowed to park anywhere in the streets but they have designated parking spaces in front of their post office but decides to steal public parking from tax paying citizens on 139th St. I'm so sick and tired of their nonsense and them thinking they're entitled to take away public parking from us tax paying citizens!!!! FYI, as a government employee, they have plaques for their vehicles so they also can parking in front of the post office. SMH read more

My goodness, this place is horribly run. When I was living back in California, I always wondered why there was such bad talk about the USPS. At that time, I didn't have any bad experiences with post offices in LA's south bay. Now that I moved to NYC, I see that the post offices here are not too well-run. That's putting it lightly. They flat out suck! In this particular post office, I had a bad encounter with one of the workers. Very bad attitude, passing the buck at others, and not doing her job well. I already reported the situation to the right people. Unlike Los Angeles (and unlike UPS), the delivery folks will not leave your package at the lobby of your building, even though my building is a nice place where people don't steal. So I have to take time to come here are deal with these folks. My solution: work only with UPS and FedEx while I reside in the NYC area. read more

All packages, 5 in my case, over 4 days are marked ghost delivered. If anyone from this post office is reading this, I hope you can dig deep in your hearts and use your minimum effort to mark packages as pick up from post office. I am willing to pick up packages for my entire building as a humanitarian effort. It is a pandemic and those packages are essentials not gifts and/or goodies from Amazon. I've been going to this post office for the last couple of years, and I can confirm that the lines are long and slow, and the office is understaffed and has undermotivated employees. Still, if you come here with the expectation that there will be a wait, then that's half the battle. If you can ignore the strange requests from some of the clientele, batting a blind eye to the ones that need 20 money orders for $5 each, or want to pay exact change (but with a lot of change), then that's the other half of the battle. Waiting at this post office has taught me a lot about patience and tolerance, or have really deadened my nerves about it all - haha. Still, around 1pm daily - it is usually the slowest time of day here, so I recommend coming here at that time - it's a serious breath of fresh air. The three stars is mainly because 1) the post office has yet to lose one of my packages that I've sent out here 2) they never complain about me wanting acceptance receipts for all of my packages and 3) they get the job done. I am writing this review as I stand on line waiting for the postal clerk to start working. On line this branch opens at 8:30am, it is now 8:45am and she is jamming to her tunes, giving us the evil eye, and cleaning her station. I am not sure what we did to her being that we havent been served yet. There is no explanation as to why she has started serving us yet. I can smell the lemon cleaner she is using to clean her work area. there are 6 ppl here waiting, and she could give zero "f's" this is ridiculous someone really needs to look into this branch and its management and see why this type of customer service is tolerated. 8:59 still on line, a customer came in and inquired about her mail and was told, "Ma'am im gonna need you to give me my 4 mins." The customer said, "well online it says you open at 8:30." The clerk replied, "Well on the door it says 9am, so I dont know why you would think that!" RUDE!!!!!!!!!! If I could put a rating below one star, I would. My experience at this specific location was horrific. I got there to renewal a passport and the service there was slow. There's bugs all over the place. Nothing in that location works, not even the pens. The employees are sassy, and extremely rude. They feel the need to make little comments on everything with each other even when the matter isn't that serious. I was well-mannered. I greet them and was extra polite. The lady that was specifically helping me was the worst one. She had a gap in between her teeth and that should have been my first red flag. She had told me I filled out the wrong paperwork so I redid it. When I got to the desk, she took minutes to help me because she was having an unnecessary conversation with her co-worker while there was a line of people behind me and with someone at her desk. Before that, she was flirting with one of the customers before me for 10 minutes straight and the man looked very uncomfortable. When I finally got to the desk, she was very sassy and it felt like she bothered by me being there. She looked like she didn't want to be there. I was missing a document and I had apologized because I didn't realized I needed that. She had told me in a sassy belittling tone, "Well if you had read this application, you would known you need this document and a photocopy of this other document. Oh ok then." She felt the need to "check me" but in reality, she should could have used that energy to actually put in her work. If only she had that energy for everything else cause she looked a hot mess. She needs her hair to be redid. Them braids were in for 40 days too long, there's no new growth. She needs to fix that gap in her teeth because why does she have her tongue behind bars. She needs to get a nose transplant because she has big birds nose. I would work on me first before I ever tried to clock somebodies tea. Learn to treat others with respect. Has anyone EVER gotten a re-delivery from this post office after filling out the correct form? I certainly haven't. I asked for a 9/21 re-delivery of a pkg I miss......nothing. Nothing today either. My re-deliveryrequest reads as "package is ready for pick-up" status. This is medication I need. I am 74 yrs old. Going to pick up a package here requires standing in line for an hour. I brought in a large package that didn't fit through the sliding windows so the young lady told me to meet her at the door, I handed her the box, she grab the scale and weighed my package, I was so thankful that she helped me get my package shipped out even tho I had to spend a little extra on the oversized box. This post office is okay, as far as post offices go. Don't get me wrong, during the weekend, the line is practically out of the door. If you are picking up a package, it will take the postal workers a minimum of 10 minutes of rummaging in the back room to find it. Literally the worst post office to ever exist and honestly if it wasn't for the fact that it's the only one in this neighborhood I'd say they should shut it down. The drivers do not attempt to deliver packages but mark packages as attempted delivery. I've waited hours for packages for no one to come and then have to go pick up my package from the post office despite it being a DELIVERY service. Wish I could give this post office zero stars. Simply went here to inquire about a package that I was told was delivered to that exact address. An extremely rude woman at the Inquiry counter "helped" me--as soon as I told her my situation, that I requested redelivery and was told the package was at that address, she immediately acted like I was inconveniencing her by even bothering to ask. Where to begin This is the slowest snail mail transfer station I've ever had the misfortune of entering. I've sent mail in third world countries that were better managed. Sadly, this is my zone post office, so I am limited on choice. There are 6 (six) service windows, yet no matter when I come here, it seems that there are only 1 or 2 people working. As in previous reviews, the line is always long and it moves with the speed of sloth in sand, after a large meal. Once one finally has the pleasure of making it to the service window, you are treated as if you are asking a for a ride to JFK airport in rush hour traffic. I'm not a postal employee, so I am unaware of the logistic procedures and systems in place that may contribute to the inefficiency of this branch. I do know that other post offices have managed a way to make this process smoother. Not one to criticize without offering a solution, the addition of a self serve postal machine would greatly improve service here. They are found at many other high traffic post offices to alleviate some of the bottle neck slow downs. I have heard whispers of this branch being shut down for years. I don't wish that as it serves a large community and it would clog up the next nearest branch. I just have this grandiose fantasy that a government agency could work better. read more

Whatever you do, don't schedule a redelivery for a package if this is your local post office. I learned the hard way. Alas, I must have wronged a postal employee in a previous life, and now they're getting back at me. After previous bad experiences at uptown post offices in NY (I'm talking about you Washington Hts/165th St location), I go out of my way to NOT have packages delivered to my home address. Well, someone sent me a small package, and, although I was home when it arrived, the postal carrier did NOT buzz me. They simply left the slip in my box. I've had this happen before and hear it's a common thing in uptown. So I went online to track my package - I decided to try the "redelivery" option since I knew I'd be home the pick up the package over the next few days. I scheduled my redelivery for Wednesday ... that day comes and goes, and nothing. By Friday, there is no updated status online for the package. In fact, it simply says "status not updated since 11pm Wednesday" - ok, so now what? I checked the online tracking multiple times, and finally see a note is added that the package will be delivered Friday (at this point, it's around 8pm on Friday, so I'm doubtful). Of course it wasn't delivered Friday either. By Saturday, the mail arrives - again, no package. The online tracking hasn't changed at all. I try calling the Post Office but can't through to anyone - eventually, I get told that there's over an hour wait for a customer representative, and they don't know anything more about packages than what I can see with the online tracking. Argh. So I try calling the local post office - no answer, of course. That's when I decide to risk my sanity by visiting the post office to see if the package is there. I arrive, wait close to 30 minutes in line (as I expected). Lo and behold, the package is still there! It's been there since Tuesday. I have no idea why it wasn't redelivered, but I'm just happy to have it in my hands. And, truthfully, the employees at the local post office were perfectly polite. So I'm not sure if my problem was more with the online redelivery option not working well, or if the employees at the local post office simply take a lot longer to redeliver packages (even though they're supposed to be delivered the day you schedule them for - you know, so you can make sure you're home to get it). If you live uptown (Harlem/Washington Heights), you probably know it's going to be a hassle to get mail that won't fit into your box. That's why I have everything sent to my work address. This is, by far, the worst post office have been to. I wosh there was a minus stars so i can give tgem a minus 10 stars. I came in the morning and the line was put the office. When I looked in only 1 person working and than she had the audacity to chat with someone and have people wait. So, there were 2 people calling the main number for the post office to file a complaint. Needless to say it didn't work. Once I got there she tells me that my package is not ready yet. Typical! So I'm back now and the same situation. Line out the door and only 1 person working if the pst office is going to allow these problems to persist, they might as well close the darn office. I feel sorry for anybody that has to deal with this post office in any type of way whether if you have to go inside to pick up a package or you're relying on them to deliver a package. This is the worst post office I've ever seen and I've done a lot of traveling I'm actually gonna move out of this neighborhood just because of this post office and if that wasn't an option I'd probably jump off a bridge. If there was an option for negative rating, I would use it here. Packages are marked delivered in mailbox but not in a mailbox. This has happened twice with products worth more than $100. Packages have been scanned received in this post office but then never delivered. I have opened a case about this and the online post office police portal closed the case cause action has been taken. Action of 'leaving me a voice mail to tell me someone will call me about my missing package'. So they noted that in their report and they closed the case. However no one has called me. On two instances I tracked my package everyday, there was a pause or no movement for a week, after I complained about it all of a sudden it was delivered to my mailbox, when I checked it was empty. In addition the mail man has left the entire mailbox cover for three floors opened, exposing everyone's mail and packages inside. I have spoken to the manager Ms Roberstin to the point where she doesn't come out of the back office and sends out her other staff that say they can't help me with my missing package issue. Please don't bother getting anything mailed. You are better off just paying retail prices on all your items at the store. Also if you come here in person, be patient, employees working here will have an attitude, are rude and don't really want to help.... unless...they want you to fill in a survey that reflects positive of them they will welcome you and kindly assist you. read more

Went today for 2 things: 1). to mail an international package and 2). to buy postcard stamps. After waiting in line for an hour, I get to counter to discover: 1). they can't mail international packages from this location b/c they ran out of forms and apparently can't figure out how to reorder them and 2). they are also out of postcard stamps. And after a while of waiting I went to the other worker's window who quickly (and rudely) told me I had to wait for the person that was helping to get back. And even after all of this rudeness and ineptness thrown my way, I said "Thank you." And guess what? You guessed it. No "You're welcome," nothing -- just a blank stare. Unbelievable! Useless. I was shocked when someone picked up the phone. As soon as I started to explain my problem....CLICK! They hung up on me. They're also liars. I had a trackable package out for delivery at 11:47AM. Later that day, it showed as delivered at 11:29AM. A) It wasn't delivered, B) How could it be delivered before it was even out for delivery? Dear hiring manager of college station, Are the requirements for the staff of this location to be: rude, inept, ignorant, and ghetto asf? No really? I have to know. Every time I come in here the line is to the door. I don't understand it. I know it's Harlem, but could this location be any more painfully stereotypical? The people that work here are probably the main ones crying about gentrification, but don't treat the people that look like you well. Then you wonder why people go elsewhere and people with lighter hues buy you out and run the businesses better than you. Vicious cycle. Worst post office I've been to in my entire life (and I've had 11 different addresses in the last 4 years). The US postal service needs to do something about this place. Mail Carriers - get into my building and then leave a slip that I have to go to the post office to pick up even though they're in the lobby of my building and can just leave it there. Then write on the slip to come the next day any time (which by the way was a Sunday). I have never been able to just receive a package from the USPS at my Harlem address. I have to go to the post office. Every. Time. Office Service - I have literally never experienced worse customer service in my life. I came back the following Monday to get my package around 11 (I figured this would be find since I was told my package would be ready on Sunday... lol). When I arrived, I waited 15 minutes in line before being told my package wasn't ready and I would be able to get it after 12. I decided to wait in the lobby until then. About 10 minutes later a supervisor comes out and asks me why I'm still in the post office. She told me that when she said after 12 she actually meant more like 1-2, it might not even be ready then. In frustration I asked where my package was. She said it hadn't been processed yet. After going back and forth with her for a while about the ridiculousness of this (she told me the longer she talked to me the less time she would have to look for my package and train new employees) I left. I called the USPS customer service. They said my package had been processed far before I had been in the building and that the supervisor had just refused to get my package. Now I'm back in this hellhole. Long story short: if moving out of my apartment to get away from this post office wasn't crazy, I would do it. read more

The worst post office I have ever had the misfortune to encounter. The staff is rude and the wait is guaranteed a minimum of 15 minutes, but usually more like 45. Even if you do make it to the window quickly, the transaction will be anything but, particularly if you are picking up a package. I've had numerous parcels temporarily (as in several months) "lost" in what must be like a 3-year-old's messy room back there. To be fair, they are woefully understaffed, obviously because the neighborhood is not upscale enough yet to warrant paying for the additional help (wait till there's a Whole Foods, then I bet you'll see changes), but the workers also move at a snail's pace regardless of the length of the line. The place is old and grungy, with a lack of supplies, and the door shuts with a resounding bang every time someone enters or exits. The worst part is that you can't get help with a basic request, such as handing over a parcel that is all set to go, without waiting your turn. Do yourself a huge favor and go elsewhere. read more

Our regular mail carrier is wonderful, but the second she's out sick no packages are delivered, no packages are redelivered, and post office customer service suggests that you go to this location to pick up your package. Read below - going to this post office branch to pick up a package is a nightmarish experience. There is no reason for the US post office to provide this level of atrociously bad service to an entire neighborhood just because most of the residents are poor. NO EXCUSE. I am an elderly resident with asthma that is severe, particularly in winter. As a result of unbelievably poor and dishonest package delivery service I have virtually no US Post Office for package delivery in cold weather when I am unable to go to PO and stand in line for 45 minutes or so while having asthma attack. Notices will arrive stating that delivery was attempted even though the person at front desk has agreed to serve as lookout for expected package. The truck delivery/carrier person records that delivery attempt was made even though I was home awaiting delivery with 2 lookouts stationed in the lobby of this senior residence. No package came through the door carried by USPS. I have almost no trouble with letters and small packages that fit in the lobby mailbox. I saw a USPS postal carrier in uniform beside me in line at the supermarket. I thanked HER for her hard work and later mentioned my problem with all package delivery. Her response was unforgettable. She said same thing happens to her personal packages that are often marked "delivered" but never were. read more

If I could give this post office negative stars, I would. There are two things that make this post office one of the worst post offices I've been to. I won't go into the first reason because many other people have mentioned it in their reviews. Let me talk about the other reason: Their employees. Mainly their mail carriers. These people have got to be among the laziest people I have ever seen. Whenever I have an Amazon package coming here and it's sent by USPS, I always dread what's going to happen. These lazy f*&ks don't even bother coming up to our apartment to deliver the package. 100% of the time they drop the Delivery Attempted slip in our mailbox. Many of those times we were home! Now we have to go to the damn post office to pick up the stupid package because your lazy-asses don't want to come upstairs?! I have 2 examples to illustrate my point: 1. One time the mail carrier actually rang our buzzer. "Hello?" "USPS" So I buzzed them in. 3 minutes later another buzz, "Hello?" "Hello! I said this is USPS. ARE YOU COMING DOWN HERE?" So I go down there and this post lady has my package. I say to her, "Too lazy to come up to my apartment huh?" And she says, "I ain't walking up no stairs!" Right. That's #1. 2. I was waiting for a package two days ago. We were home all day. I put two notices out; one on the front door of our building, one on our mailbox. Both said "USPS, WE'RE HOME ALL DAY, PLEASE COME UPSTAIRS." What happens? I go downstairs and the freaking notice that was on the outside door is now on my mailbox, on top of the other note. And guess what's inside the mailbox? THE FREAKING DELIVERY ATTEMPTED NOTICE!!! I couldn't fucking believe it. If I had any authority I would fire everyone at this post office and shut down the facility. Just because it's on my block does not make it any more convenient. In fact, it's more inconvenient. I hate this post office. And I have never hated any post offices. Thank god I'm moving soon. read more

Worst post office ever. The carriers don't do their job leaving packages or even a notice. I receive an email from Amazon stating that an attempt was made to leave my package and a notice was left. 1. I was at my office ALL day waiting on that package. 2. A notice was never even left. Which means I have to personally go to the post office the next day. Wait on the line which 95% of the time its reaching the door and then when i finally make it to the window I'm attended by a rude clerck stating its not her fault the delivery people don't do their job and then wait an additional 20 minutes while she looks for the package cause she claims nothing is ever sorted. I believe the only reason they haven't been shut down is cause the community still has to unfortunately rely on them cause their the only post office in the neighborhood. read more
