Ms J the woman of Indian descent needs to be fired. She is incompetent, can barely understand english, and holds up the line everytime I come to the post office. I am a regular weekly and she will deliberately not service my request because she feels as though she is entitled to her position and no one will do anything about it. Everytime I have a problem with Ms J I will leave one star. Completely unacceptable. Ms Noelle and Ms Speller at the 2 windows on your left when you walk in are absolutely amazing on the other hand. I wish I could give them zero stars. EVERY single time someone stays home to wait for a package, the lazy delivery person doesn't attempt to deliver the package but instead just leaves a "we missed you note." And then when you go to the post office to pick up your package that they failed to deliver, you end up on a long never ending line. If I could give them a negative 10, I would. This post office is HORRIBLE and has been HORRIBLE since I've been living around here for 20 years!!!! Every time I get a notification that my package has been forwarded to USPS I get the chills because I know that it will come with BS. My building has bigger boxes that allows them to place packages there however for some reason they rarely use this option. I always get the notification stating that they were in my house at some random time and no one was home. Then I have to come to the post office, make the line and wait until their slow employees can assist us. This is horrible, I tried making complains so many times but the honest truth is that none of them care. I mostly have a hate/hate relationship with this post office. Actually the post offices in the Bronx that you might have a pleasant experience with, outside of the post office on 149 and Grand Concourse (which is hit or miss) are far and few between. I have been dealing with this post office for over 5 years and one of the things I look forward to when thinking of moving out of the Bronx is not dealing with this headache. Their communication sucks. The rules change every week, there are hardly ever more than 2 windows open, (one for retail , one for packages). They are slow and most of the time unpleasant. If I am selecting delivery for anything I almost always opt for the service that will not be USPS, as a former postal service employee this is just horrible. For some reason package deliveries will almost never be delivered to your address, resulting in your mail being redirected to the post office for pick up. If you are a working adult, with the more customary work schedule, (even if someone IS IN YOUR HOUSE all day and the "attempted delivery" was not made) that results in you either needing to take time off from work,or visiting the post office on the weekend. Of course making the lines than what is already the standard practice here. The post office has told me a few times on a Saturday , both in person and also through the big AF sign within the post office that it is open for package pickups on Sunday from 10 am - 2pm , and guess who looks like a big dummy standing outside of the post office from 9:50 - 10:38 am this Sunday morning???? I love the way customers bad mouth hard working people. Especially during these tough times. When most of you couldn't do the job that our USPS workers are doing. I'd like to see some of you get out there With this COVILD-19 and walk the streets for 8 to 10 hours a day. And put YOURSELVES at risk the way these workers do for you. WORST POST OFFICE I'VE LITERALLY EVER BEEN TO. Terrible customer service. Carriers have multiple times stated that delivery was attempted when we were home the entire day. Several times we've tried to go they've closed at least 45min earlier than posted hours. 2 packages fully lost and in one additional instance a package was left on our steps (in the Bronx) when our mail was supposed to have been held (with email confirmation of the mail hold and email confirmation placing date of delivery within that date range), and when the package was stolen they said there was nothing they could do. This post office is conveniently located down the block from me. Opens at 9 am and as soon as it opens there's a line so long it wraps around the post office. There's only two employees everyday in the morning who are behind the glass. Then there's a third employees who helps people paying with credit/debit cards. They always have my package and haven't had a bad experience but the long line wait. Everyone tried to get there as early as possible to be the first on line. This USPS needs new employers. They seem to have a trend of constantly losing people's packages. My package said it was delivered in the mailbox. I check the mailbox and nothing is there. Either they put it in the WRONG mailbox or they're lying. People spend money on some packages just for it to be lost and nothing they can do about it. I dread having to go to this post office. Many times I am home at the time they say they attempted delivery, many times they won't even leave the pick up slip. Then I have to go and stand on this never ending line while they have one or two people working. The heat is on high for no reason just to make people miserable on this long line. First of all this place is creepy looking and the ladies at the windows are just plain rude gave me and other people a hard time. I have items that were suppose to be delivered. Instead the delivery was not attempted at all and now they are threatening to send items back. I have no way of retreiving the items and only get to speak to an automated service. This is the 3rd package to have this issue from this post office.The items are for my students via an organization and they will not resend returned packages. The attendent Ms. Williams has a disgusting unprofesional attitude. I went to do my passport and had a few questions. I was first attended by Ms. Walker whom was very nice and helpful. But then I had to go back to the line and ended up in Ms. Williams window, I said good morning and simple asked one last question regarding the application. Ms. Williams gave me a disgusting attitude and told me "Ms. You are being difficult and asking too many question !!!" . I told her " I am not I just was not sure about one last thing and the passport is not free, I am paying over $100.00 for it and I can ask the questions I need to before I mail it out so that I am sure". I had to leave the line because I did not want to be at her window and I went back to Ms. Walker to help me and then the manager Mr. Teteh was there and did nothing and said nothing. I told him that Ms. Williams "her attitude was disgusting, why would he allow her to give such poor customer service?" BUT he did nothing. He did not even care. It was way to early in the morning for Ms. Williams to have such a bad attitude. Where is the customer service? How about just being polite?
