Even the most obscure delivering services have been able to deliver my packages on time but the USPS seems to struggle in a way that I cannot comprehend.

Its a small town and most mail deliveries are done by the mail man who walks his route. However there is a huge problem with the truck driven package delivery system which is nothing short of what you might expect from a third world country. Two weeks ago a package was not even attempted to be delivered to me. No note, no delivery.. they just returned it to sender. I try to work around this by telling people to never send me anything USPS and to use UPS or Fed X.. anyone else ! Unfortunately some venders have contracts with USPS and I have no choice. Just now I have been waiting for a very important package that deals with my business that was marked for "signature required". I had the USPS tracking number so I could track it. After waiting 48 hours the tracking program records " attempted delivery". My whole family was home waiting so there is no way they attempted delivery. If they did attempt they did not leave a note. I don't know if its the problem with the USPS system or just this local post office. I hope this post office can sort out their problems and get ride of whoever is at the root of this problem. Under normal circumstances I would just say " so what, its just a package", a pair of shoes or a CD can wait. But when it effects my business I take it personal.

I heard a man who sends the mail out curse while saying this is just a job, whilst carrying a box full of packages he reluctantly refused to properly disperse. The same place, maybe a year before, I wrote them a letter and slid it under their door about a package I knew was there, telling them I've had enough packages stolen. The very next day, I got my package. Today, a package has been delivered about three hours ago in mailbox. No package to be seen. I think it's the people that send out packages that are the real issue here.
