Majority of packages either don't get delivered on time or you have to go pick them up at the office because the drivers are incapable of pressing a quick button that says deliveries if they can't get into the door period instead of using a tiny bit of brain power to open the door they use no effort and don't do their jobs. Even the most obscure delivering services have been able to deliver my packages on time but the USPS seems to struggle in a way that I cannot comprehend. read more

This is my local post office and is most convenient for my business needs. however when I get the lady with the long grey hair my transactions always go off the rails for simple things. Today I had a number 10 envelope and 6 by 9 manila. I ask what the postage would be and she said she cannot say because it doesn't go by weight or envelope size any more and that the post office got rid of that years ago. She stated it's based on a lot of factors. I send the same amount paperwork out over the years and just want to know what postage is so I don't have to wait on line and be confronted by people like her who obviously have an axe to grind. Her supervisor should remove her from the customer service window at once. You generally don't see this issue anymore these days but she's from a bygone era where this may have been an accepted course of business. read more

Joke of the day. Two black men enter the post office.... *insert live audience laughter sound bite* But seriously the way which i was treated by K____ from this location is sad. Poor service but i feel worse for people who in 2021 have racial issues with young black businessmen. I'll never visit this location and will recommend any other post office to my local colleagues. read more

Terrible service in this town. Always get someone else's mail daily. I've had medications misdelivered by them. They do not pick up the phone during business hours. Once when I shipped my iPhone for a return by dropping it off with them, the package was delivered but mysteriously the iPhone was replaced with a used Verizon Blackberry. Not sure how it go there, but perhaps the workers at this post office would know. Go to a neighboring town post office for actual postage service. read more

Mail delivery is inconsistent. Many times I see the mail has been marked delivered according to the tracking number but I actually get it days later. Also really late delivery sometimes as late as the evening. Just plain old inconsistent and I get mail that doesn't belong to me all the time read more

I am here at 2:20 in the afternoon and the hours online and on the door say that they are open until 4 PM yet the office is pitch black and all the doors are locked. Unacceptable yet not surprising service from the New York State Postal Service! read more

Mail delivery is sporadic. When our regular mail delivery person is out, our mail is always left on the wrong side of our house NOT IN A MAILBOX!!! It inevitably gets wet from the rain. If I every have a need to go to the actual post office, it turns into a headache. The workers are miserable and do not know how to work with the general public. It's a shame we do not have any other alternative and management has not addressed these ongoing issues!! read more

Generally, this is a good little local post office - but it REALLY depends on who is behind the counter! There are two regular women who work there - beware the one with the long black hair and grey roots!!! For me, she has proven to be consistently surly and unhelpful. Saturday hours till 4 pm are nice, a small lot but available street parking. Supplies, boxes and labels, are sometimes available. Today I came in for postcard stamps and ended up buying a sheet each of 34-, 21-, and 4-cent stamps. I asked the lady how much postage was for postcards and she said she DIDN'T KNOW! Worse yet, she did not even attempt to find out! And this was the nicer lady - whom I like much more... read more

Worst service ever. Mail is not delivered 6 days a week.

In some ways it's a nice little post office, but lately the mail delivery has become quite erratic, arriving as late as 8pm. On multiple occasions, I have gotten mail, including checks, addressed to people who don't even live near me. I reported this to a supervisor who was polite and said that would stop, but it hasn't. also, at times, the PO is out of items like stamps and typically has long lines and only one or 2 clerks on duty. read more

I placed a letter in an outside mailbox on Fifth Avenue in Pelham, NY on September 22, 2018. The letter was going to Maryland. It is now October 9, 2018 and the letter still has not arrived at its destination. When I called to ask how often the mail is picked up from the mailboxes I was told everyday. I was also told that unless I send something by priority mail, the mail, and I am quoting the person I spoke with today 10-9-18 at the post office "gets there when it get there." So much for customer service. I have been one who has supported the post office through thick and thin (my brother was a mailman) but the attitude that the mail will get there when it gets there is just no way to run a business. read more

Every day, mail to past residents, who haven't lived here in decades, continues to bombard my mailbox-- sometimes 10 a day. I have spoken directly to Pelham Supervisor Innes who told me he would correct it immediately. This can only mean 1 thing. Since my horrible Google review, Innes & my delivery lady (Fifth Ave, Pelham, won't give me her name) are doing this deliberately & should be fired. Cancelling past residents mail upon request, is a standard service that USPS provides. Come Monday, I will be going up the supervisory chain of command until this matter is resolved, and to see that Innes & the delivery lady never work in a customer service capacity again. They either need to replace the woman with the long, grey hair with glasses or stick her in the back to do some other job because she is not meant for customer service. Every time I walk in here, she usually tends to help me in her rude and condescending way. I will definitely be avoiding this post office for the most part unless I absolutely have no other choice, which of course would be unfortunate. read more
