I had asked to mail something and he immediately began snapping at me telling me I needed to tape my label. I had mentioned that I wanted to make sure that it was labeled properly because it had been incorrectly labeled the last time by the post office and I was now re-sending it and he became very accusatory stating that i was the one who had the label and he wasn't adding another label to it. he kept interrupting me and just being rude. when I had asked if they had tape I could use he continued snapping at me telling me "I'd have to purchase some." and "that's why he told me to tape it on." it actually took another customer stepping in and being nice to me for him to suddenly change his tone. even if everything he said was correct he was so nasty while doing it. perhaps he should find a job that doesn't require him to work with the general public and actually treat people with human decency. ‍

In the meantime it took forever for my order to arrive having ended up in seattle instead of the east coast by mistake. While the 40 something cent letter seemed like a really good deal, the other items seemed really expensive, and the prices seemed not to make sense at all. I paid about 13 dollars and it ended up being only a tiny 2 ounce widget to send to England. The staff bringing the orders out to the houses seems great, it is mainly the people who take your orders who seem to think that you are a major annoyance.

I end up with keys to parcel boxes and no package in the mailbox, notifications that it's delivered when it's not, or other people's packages instead of my own. And if you call to complain they make the excuse that "addresses are so similar in these neighborhoods" but isn't that the case literally everywhere else too? Every once in a while an issue like this wouldn't be too bad, it happens. But it's literally the third week in a row I'm missing a package. Figure it out.

I don't get the review-love for this post office…read more Let's start at the beginning: the parking lot for this post office is very small and very poorly laid out. You can get stuck on the roadway waiting for grandma to pull out of the front space so that some guy in a big truck can get off of the single-lane curbs and park in two to three spaces. When you leave, you'll be holding up traffic! Inside the service area also has a traffic flow problem. There's no way to stand in line without blocking the doors. There's no way to leave the counters without running into the line and folks trying to come in through those same doors. The employees are standard postal employees - exactly as helpful as they need to be to get you out of their line, they move at the pace they chose. Some are fast, some aren't. Some are friendly, some really aren't. There's always a line here for services, so don't expect to pop in and out quickly. You're going to stand there for a while, wondering how long, exactly all of those stacks of mail have been around the service counter. For alternatives, I'd suggest anywhere but the A Street Post Office. It's a post office - stop in if you must to drop off a package or send something certified. Otherwise, you might want to just print your postage online and drop it in your neighborhood box.

A good number of people from Potlatch, go out of their way to come to this post office over the Potlatch branch because Potlatch's Postmaster, Michael makes the Potlatch branch a miserable experience. Michael goes out of his way to be mean and repulsive to customer after customer. I have witnessed this many times. The Princeton post office is a cozy little one room office. It has a great deal of charm and Mary Lou adds her own warm personality to the place which makes it a truly wonderful experience. Mary Lou likes her customers so much that she even goes out of her way to buy candy for them. Great job Mary Lou, you'd be an asset to any business. Anyway this is why people come to the Princeton post office.

It was a reused soda stream box which never had cartridges shipped in it and was previously transported by ups. The box was being reused to ship Ziply equipment. I asked if I could just cover the symbol with a label since it's not hazardous. They refused and of course they wanted to sell me a new box. Which is the exact grift they did on my last visit here when trying to return items to Amazon. Paid $36 for two boxes! For this item, I went down the road to Staples and they accepted it with no issues and were super friendly. This UPS store GRIFTS- no other store like this one in the NW since they like to claim all UPS stores operate like this. It's only them.
