I've never dropped my clothes off for them to be cleaned and I did yesterday and picked them up…read moretoday. To note as well, this bag of laundry I dropped off had to be at least 40-50LBS and mixed laundry between me and my husband. EVERYTHING was folded PERFECTLY. The socks were folded and matched AND together based of wear wise (so all my husbands white Hanes socks were matched from the new ones to the 2yr + stained last leg ones). They even separated our clothes into our own bags, and by what they were (shorts, shirts, etc.). I didn't tip them as I've never done this before but after getting my clothes back I'll be making sure they get a tip tomorrow because they worked so hard on this! I'm just very impressed and had to share my wonderful experience!!! 100% go there for your laundry to be treated respectfully and cleaned properly.

They do the laundry for people who drop off their clothes, help the people (like me) understand the choices in machines and where to put the oxi-clean, and in between are making change, sweeping the floors, and wiping out the machines. I have been really impressed.

This was one of those times where a last-minute decision to exit right was well-rewarded. Protecting Valuables in a Secure Location…read more SITREP What really sucks about not being around 100% of the time - or even having friendly neighbors looking in on the property over a spell of months while my uncle, cousins and I are away - is that the property and it's fixtures are exposed to vandalism and outright theft & break-ins. THE SETUP This last time was the straw that broke the camels back for my uncle since the truck in the side driveway and the windows over the kitchen area of the small home were all shot up with buck shot. STORAGE A secure storage unit seemed to be in order and quite a bit less expensive than going through an building a new shed that wouldn't really be a secure option to what we had already. But in this way, the remaining undamaged china, valuables and other family heirlooms that remained undamaged, could be secured away which would be a necessity in any event since at some point they would have to be moved as the old little home was demolished to make way for the larger home that would be built there instead. Problem solved.... PAYMENT We can actually make credit card payments for those months we are not physically present in St. Maries, and that's a big plus. THE LOWDOWN A decent local secure storage alternative for the remaining valuables we wanted to protect.

Outhouses For Homesteaders On The Go!…read more SITREP You get to piece of untamed property, there's still a long long ways before the amenities are in place. Feeling the "Call of Nature" requires some minimum sanitary requirements. THE SETUP Sure. A hole in the ground will do. But it's not very comfortable stooping, or even having your ...uh..."unit"...dealing with the frigid breezes of Northern Idaho in the Winter. That's where St. Joe Potty Huts come in and gives you a "house", an "outhouse", to protect your body from the elements while you can do your business. OUR HOUSE....IN THE MIDDLE OF OUR STREET ..or wooded path as the case may be. Standard white 6' foot wooden outhouse to sit in the woods while the ranchhouse and wellhouse and other property buildings get made. This potty hut is our buddy, our "Bud" (named after my dear departed uncle). THE LOWDOWN So beautiful.....*wipes tear*......(and ass...) :D

We considered getting new carpet, but opted to try cleaning first (although I was skeptical). Kim and Ken were very honest. They told us upfront that they couldn't promise that the smell would be gone. The team was organized, efficient and professional, and the outcome far exceeded our expectations. The carpet looks good, but, more importantly, it smells great! Can't recommend this team enough!

Beautiful, Tranquil, Secluded Cemetery in St. Maries…read more SITREP Also known as "St. Maries Cemetary (sic)", this is the main cemetery for the Idaho community of St. Maries and has been around for almost two (2) centuries. My mother's family has had a plot here for more than a century. There is an extensive family presence going back five (5) generations, and so coming here has become a tradition. THE SETUP In the middle of St. Maries, ID, this wooded, secluded area leaves this cemetery as a tranquil sanctuary. At this point, I've been to this cemetery on a number of occasions, *First as a child to visit the gravesite of my grandfather Curly who passed in the 50s before I was born, *But also my two oldest uncles (WWII servicemen) who passed in the 40s. But more "recently", my aunt Bobbie (Barbara) who passed away from cancer in the early 80s. *My grandmother Ruth followed from natural causes in the late 80s *Uncle Bud (Meredith) and Aunt Buff (Elizabeth) were taken from us in the 2000s *And Uncle Jack most recently just a couple years back. The plot is filling up with family that I knew personally, and so the incentive to come pay my respects and visit becomes more frequent. SANCTUARY Surprisingly, we barely ever see anyone else here at Woodlawn when we are here - or I alone - are visiting. I imagine that it contributes to my meditative mood when I am here, safely removed from loud distractions. I am glad there is a beautiful, serene place for my family members to have a "final rest." THE LOWDOWN A lovely environment to engage in some family reflection with our family's legacy.
