I decided to go to the office, the guy behind the counter who I originally stayed on hold for 10 minutes before driving down, was on his cell phone browsing, well he said they have rules they have to follow and said a postmaster would contact me the next day. They didn't make any attempt to redeliver the following day and the call from the postmaster never happened. This is my first experience with Cashmere USPS.

All in this little itty bitty building nestled in this quiet little town of Carnation. That and everyone who works there is *crazy* nice!!! Nothing like the post offices of past homes (Renton on 4th!! how I loathe the!! I couldn't even write a review because it constantly came out too mean). It makes a world of difference when someone is nice. And the people at the Carnation post office are genuinely nice. When I moved in, I had to put a hold on my mail because I needed to get a mailbox at one of those mailbox blocks (I moved to a rural area) and it took a little time. By the time I picked up the mail I had a TON of it. Was there a problem with the post office - no, not at all. There were smiles on faces. AWESOME!! Were there ever smiles on faces in Renton?? no how do I feel about Carnation so far? All sorts of warm and fuzzy inside. Oh yes I do indeed!!

I'm taking a pass because maybe it's a local thing and the locals are agreeable to it and besides that, this is a review for the local post office. the Ellensburg Post Office, judging by content and context of the reviews, seems a mess but after navigating the streets and sidewalks and seeing what passes for acceptable parking out front I am inclined to believe you get what you deserve considering that postal workers are generally hired locally so these are your very own neighbors treating you this way... I just popped in to post a few cards and the drop box was clearly labeled and functional so I did not get to interact with the staff, just the folks coming and going and "parking"... not saying anything, just saying that sometimes you get what you deserve.

However the last few years: regarding P.O. Box mail. The back office has a systematic delivery method for the mail. That part is needed, however, some will argue this method can also target paid for boxes with service difficulties. Operational: The back office workers place the mail as far back toward their work space as they can. If someone doesn't go to the post office every day, back office personnel do not inch the mail slightly forward toward the customer access door. The small pieces are most vulnerable. Think size wise, of pieces such as 1099 tax statements. If something falls out the back, it is lost. Talking to mostly friendly front desk personal about the issue still can have the back office personnel delivering the mail in the back of the box.

Niel has always been most helpful and resourceful with all my questions and needs. He is always polite and remembers most customers by their first name. He is extremely knowledgeable and advises everyone with a smile. I had run into several issues with my mailing and packages (during this pandemic), and Niel was always patient - and solved every one of my issues and answered all my questions. No matter how you instruct businesses to send packages, using both a PO Box # and a street address, they can get it wrong. We don't have street delivery, so I always use both (not knowing if shipper is shipping USPS or UPS). I just found out a part (that I NEED) was delivered to Chelan, using only my street address. Instead of just looking at the business name on the package, they sent it back-to California. I'm not sure what takes more time for them; looking at the name or going thru the process of returning it? Now I'm out the part and have to reorder & my customer is without a car. I've heard many complaints about this in the area, just not sure about the process. Maybe I should sign up for street delivery? I'm right in town--oh wait, there is a lack of mail carriers......................

Marianna and David are some of the nicest and the most helpful people I've ever met or spoken to. Marianna has on more than one occasion gone above and beyond to help me with mail issues. She is very sweet, friendly and smart. She also remembers the issue I constantly have with Mail and keeps an eye out so help ensure they don't get lost. She is really great! I'm happy things have changed. it's no longer a drag to go in. Its comfortable and warm :)

While I waited with my puppy the Brett and Sons driver pulled into the handicapped space and came in to collect packages. There was an empty spot on the other side of my car, maybe eight feet further from the door. I called Brett and Sons and their response when I asked if they allowed their drivers to park in the handicapped spots was "yes, if they're in a hurry." I said it's illegal. He asked how long the driver was inside. I said not the point, it's illegal. He said he would talk to the driver but it is quite obvious this is an unwritten company policy. Shame on them!

Ordered a part from a vendor today that was supposed to ship from Yakima to Wenatchee on a Brett &…read moreSon delivery truck. I sent someone down from Chelan to Wenatchee to retrieve the needed part. Brett and Son's truck did not show up by closing time of the store and when the driver of the truck was contacted, he indicated that he did not have the package on his truck. We checked with the shipping source in Yakima and they advised that the item had been placed on the truck. Apparently the driver lost the package. We incurred the expense of sending someone on a 2 hour round trip to pick up a package that Brett and Son's lost. Very frustrating and expensive.
