I really really really miss Patty!!! Sorry if I spelled it wrong... Patti? Anyway, I miss you!!!!!read more

This USED to be a great place to get copies made, ship packages, etc., etc. There was a clerk…read morenamed Pattie who worked there, & She was always "on top" of everything. Unfortunately for Me, Pattie retired, & this business evidently is now under new ownership & has REALLY gone DOWNHILL fast. I recently bought a couple of vintage auto parts on eBay. Sadly, they wouldn't fit, necessitating My returning them for a refund. eBay emailed Me a "QR code". When I saw "FedEx" listed as the carrier I needed to use to ship the parts back I cringed, since anything & everything remotely related to this pitiful "carrier" always seems to end up complicated, a huge hassle, & a gigantic nightmare. Having no other viable options at the moment, I grudgingly drove to the "Postal Center" so they could scan the QR code, print a label, & ship the package out for Me. Well, FedEx "came through" for Me once again, right on cue. The "clerk" on duty matter-of-factly informed Me that the Postal Center is "no longer scanning FedEx QR codes". I really thought She was kidding! They advertise themselves as a "full service center", are considered a FedEx drop-off location, & they can't/won't scan QR codes? Preposterous!!!!! A wasted trip, & in case this clerk hasn't noticed, gas prices (like FedEx rates), are in the stratosphere. She could care less. This "clerk" was about as useless as power windows in a submarine. No apologies, no recommendation(s) of what My options are, etc. I asked Her WHY they won't scan QR codes She informed Me that "We don't have the necessary equipment to scan QR codes". REALLY??? I suggested that it might be good business practice for Them to INVEST in a scanning machine, seeing that They're supposedly a "FedEx full-service location". DUH!!! That suggestion also fell on deaf ears. I informed Her that I was finished doing any business with "The Postal Center"...She could care less about this also. Quite the "attitude"! On My own, I searched the internet & quickly found that Walgreens in Millbury handles the shipping of FedEx packages. I called Them & when I told the clerk the story about The Postal Center not being able to scan FedEx QR codes, She too thought I was joking!!! She had never heard of anything so ridiculous! So, I drove to Millbury. She (Karen) was very nice & helpful (unlike the DUDS at The Postal Center!!) Within 3 minutes She had the QR code scanned, the shipping label affixed, & the package was on its way! Now THAT's the way to do business!!! So whatever You do, DON'T EVEN CONSIDER using The Postal Center for anything since They're as useless as FedEx, I'm spreading the word far & wide, with the hopes that this pitiful excuse for a "business" will go the route of "Spirit Airlines", along with FedEx, and cease to exist. We MISS YOU, Pattie!!!!

We found this place the other day when we were eating in the plaza we ship a lot from USPS and UPS…read moreso we figured we'd give it a try today. We did find out that they only take QR codes for fed ex and USPS. The fact they don't take QR codes for UPS was kind of crappy. The place was clean and I really love that. They offered free tape to be able to close your packages if needed. They had mailboxes in a large selection of packing products if you need them..

We were told they accept USPS barcodes/QR codes, just not UPS ones, and we've come in several times with USPS QR codes and they've scanned them, printed the labels, and sent us on our way without any issues. Today was a little different because there was a new associate and they had a sticker label machine, which I actually think is much easier and more convenient. The only issue was that the machine ran out of paper for one of the labels, so he had to manually enter it since he couldn't reprint it. One of my other QR codes also wasn't scanning, so that label had to be printed instead of using the sticker machine. I was charged $.53 for the printed labels, which obviously isn't a big deal and I paid it without an issue. I was just a little confused because before they had the sticker machine, they were printing the labels for us and I was never charged. I asked how I would know ahead of time which QR code would get a sticker and which one would require a printed label, and I was told it just depends on how it scans. That seems a little strange to me and could definitely use some clarification so customers know what to expect. Overall, I still like coming here because it's convenient and I've had good experiences the other times I've gone. I just think the labeling/printing process and the fees could be explained a little more clearly.

The copy center can do just about anything, and the woman, I wish I had gotten her name, was really patient with me. They now have an IT department and as I write this on my newly cleaned up laptop, I cannot help but grin with joy! I have met 2 techs, Christian and George. It is so refreshing to not be treated like an idiot, even though I freely admit I can be when it comes to computers. No muss, no fuss. Just really nice, competent guys who get the job done right and really quick. I actually got a call from them when my computer was ready, where at other IT stores, I had to call every few days. I was so confident with the work, I brought in another crashed computer, the home one which is due back today. While I am not happy with the $250 fee to recover the lost files, I am excited at the prospect that I might get those file back. I have also shopped for networking equipment and got exactly the help I needed, which was expert help that I didn't need to purchase anything! All around great store, in every department. Really clean, well organized and great selection and value. Parking can be a bear, there is a large lot but next to Marketbasket I guess the bright side is you can get in a quick walk,

I had a terrible experience at Staples in Bellingham. When I arrived, I needed to have thank you…read morecards printed for my clients. I met a friendly Asian woman in the print marketing service department who tried to assist me but was having difficulty with fitting my business logo onto the card. After about half an hour, I told her I needed to leave because I had a business appointment, and she understood my concerns. She called over an employee named Abby Damon to help her. Abby was very rude to her, responding with, "figure it out." At first, I thought Abby was just being typical of their culture, where employees sometimes playfully tease each other. However, when she continued to be rude whenever the woman asked for help, I realized something was seriously wrong. As the Asian woman went to the cutting machine to cut the cards, I followed to ensure they came out exactly as I wanted. I noticed that Abby was bullying her by her tone of voice, and she saw I was close enough to hear. Abby then told me to "go back off a little bit and wait," which I did. I told her that her tone was unacceptable because she was being rude to me at the customer service counter. The sad part is that, when I expressed my frustration and told her I didn't like her rude behavior towards me and the Asian woman asking for help, the Asian woman started to cry because she knew she was being bullied but was too scared to speak up. I had to comfort the Asian lady and let her know that her actions were okay, and I wasn't upset with her. I was more upset with Abby for how she treated both of us and for how she spoke to me as a client. I asked both of them to stop my transaction and politely asked Abby for her name. She told me flat out NO, and I explained that I was a Staples customer. It is my right to have the name of the employees that I interact with, and she refused to give it to me, and then I proceed and asked to speak to a supervisor and then the supervisor asked me what happened. I explained it to him and told him I was in a hurry. I need her name so I can write my complaint when I have time. He offered to sit down with me to discuss it further, and I told him I had an appointment I was about to miss. I don't have time to sit down with him, but I will write my review on social media, Yelp, Google, and Staples' website. This is why I'm here. I think it's very important because having an employee bully another employee is unacceptable to witness as a customer. I hope that my concern is being taken care of very serious and investigation is open in this matter.
