Service on my visit was highly competent and friendly. Finding the entrance was tricky because there wasn't any outside signage that I'm aware of. You can go through the revolving door on the SW corner of the building then take the first right as you step inside. Or, go in the east entrance through a courtyard wedged between this building and the federal courthouse. Really cool area. Stunning early morning light. Epic architecture that shows off a level of grandeur and sophistication not typically associated with downtown Spokane.

We bought a house with a gate at the entrance which enters to a large circle drive, which has caused all sorts of problems with regards to USPS. We have a gate code for deliveries so the drivers can deliver our package to our porch (Which UPS and FedEX both have no problem with and deliver often). When I approached the Colbert Post Office gentleman, I was told USPS could not accept the gate code and would not enter the property. On top of that, we have a door bell below the keypad to ring the house. Once again the gentleman told me that the driver would not pull into the driveway entrance because if we are not home, it apparently is against their policy to backup their trucks....which I find ridiculous since they ALL back up their truck at the end of the day in the post office lot!!!! We order a lot from Amazon and get deliveries from all of the deliver companies regarding those packages. If I had a choice, I would never have our local USPS deliver anything. They do not try to accommodate the delivery of our packages.

Terrible delivery service from this location. "We have a…read morenew driver and we are training," the manager tells us. "You are the only house with issues." Wrong. I can name seven neighbors with complaints. People are busy and don't have time to deal with this location's incompetence. Also, this office rarely answers the phone and who knows where the emails go or if they are ever even seen. - For the past year we get mail for a different address 2-3 times per week. - The carrier just tosses packages onto the porch, sometimes in the rain. Never mind there is often sensitive electronics in the box. - Mail is delivered during mail hold periods. This last mail hold saw three packages tossed onto the porch on three separate days. We called and had them come pick up the packages, which they did only twice, leaving the third package to go missing. - We have a circular driveway and for some reason the carrier will make a three-point turn in the driveway stirring up the gravel instead of just continuing straight through. Do they not realize so many people have security cameras these days?

I had been waiting several days for an important, high-value package -- a laptop -- and, because I am currently caring for my sister who is in home hospice, I had very little time to spare to keep checking on it. When I visited the post office, Sarah took immediate action on my behalf: she personally went out and met the mail carrier while she was still out on her route, retrieved my package directly from her, and brought it back to the post office herself so that I could have it right away. This level of initiative, dedication, and genuine care for a customer's needs is not something you see every day, especially during such a difficult time for my family. Sarah didn't just do her job -- she went out of her way to solve my problem on the spot, and I am incredibly grateful for her effort and kindness. I hope this letter serves as a strong and heartfelt commendation for Sarah's excellent work. She is a true asset to the Greenacres Post Office and to the United States Postal Service as a whole, and I believe her actions deserve to be recognized and celebrated. Lately, I've been needing to send packages on his behalf and it's easy to just drop off my package and not have any issues with other people not receiving them on their end. This post office is in an ideal location, close to the stores I frequent in so it's all a convenient drive. I saw that they also provide passport services, which comes in handy for me and my family!

The worst post office ever. I sincerely wish we could avoid ever using this agency ever again... I will be at the post office tomorrow morning with photos of the gate, the front door and the road attempting once again to get the post office to figure this out...I suspect they won't. Grrrrrrr

There are a few good people at the front desk, however the management and drivers are HORRIBLE…read more(imho). The person who delivers to our address constantly leaves packages hanging half way out of the box and makes up reasons not to deliver to the house. I pay UPS and FedEx the higher rate for packages to be delivered by professional, courteous and reliable people. I ask vendors every time I busy something to ship to me by any other carrier. I AVOID giving any business to the USPS every chance I get. I hope you do too.
