Terrible delivery service from this location. "We have a new driver and we are training," the manager tells us. "You are the only house with issues." Wrong. I can name seven neighbors with complaints. People are busy and don't have time to deal with this location's incompetence. Also, this office rarely answers the phone and who knows where the emails go or if they are ever even seen. - For the past year we get mail for a different address 2-3 times per week. - The carrier just tosses packages onto the porch, sometimes in the rain. Never mind there is often sensitive electronics in the box. - Mail is delivered during mail hold periods. This last mail hold saw three packages tossed onto the porch on three separate days. We called and had them come pick up the packages, which they did only twice, leaving the third package to go missing. - We have a circular driveway and for some reason the carrier will make a three-point turn in the driveway stirring up the gravel instead of just continuing straight through. .June 2024: This is one of the worst run post offices in Spokane.Now don't get me wrong I've noted maybe a few of decent folks who do their job and have nothing to do with the issue.You file a complaint all of a sudden your mailbox doesn't work or they can't deliver to your door,it's not safe.Your complaint will not be handled appropriately,the manager/supervisor will ensure that should they say or do anything that could get them in trouble, they cannot be held accountable and that's how they handle complaints.After you complain they will make sure every chance they get,you don't get your mail even if you go down there.They will use any and every means they can to justify withholding your mail and making sure it goes back to sender.I have three years of proof of just this post office doing this behavior.They have resorted to these antics because they have demanded for several years that the current owners of my apartment complex invest in super expensive mailboxes.The owners investing in the super expensive mailboxes means that tenants at my complex might not get the repairs necessary because this apartment complex would not be able to afford them.This post office would rather fight and punish tenants thinking it would help their cause. Then deliver mail as they should. I have receipts to back up what I'm saying in this review.What they do is they get their mail for that local post office to deliver around 6:00-7:50 am,they'll mark it as delivery attempt before it even hits the route.They show up hours later and sometimes put a slip in your mailbox.Even if your package fits in your mailbox,they will not deliver.As long as they have a justifiable way,they will not deliver.Even scheduled redelivery,they still won't deliver to your door,or mailbox.Citing things like not secure area when in all reality,if you have your package rerouted to a totally different post office,that different post office will deliver to the same mailbox,or your front door that this post office refuses to deliver to.So it's only this post office that behaves this way.This is legit,there was a neighbor whose daughter had medication that up until the mother filed a complaint,she was getting it delivered monthly,with no delivery problems.She never heard back about her complaint and her daughter stopped getting her medication delivered to her mailbox as was normal.We go down there together and the mother shows proof that there was never an issue before she filed a complaint and that her complaint wasn't even handled appropriately.This POS comes over and starts talking about how there's not a secure area and all these other excuses.I'm in the corner with her daughter trying to keep her calm.Then she shows them proof there is no issue and there was none in the past until she filed a complaint.They cannot find her daughter's medication and the woman's insurance will not have it refilled again.So this mother tries several times until she has to stop,her daughter ends up so sick that she's hospitalized in a psych ward.Because this local post office used laws that make it legal for them to abuse their power,there's no legal recourse this mother can take in her defense.This mother is not the only person who suffered greatly because this post office wants to keep up a lost battle over expensive mailboxes with the owners.They get away with this behavior because they use laws and rules meant to protect our mail.I've challenged it and they go above and beyond to punish me for my complaints.They only deliver when they have no excuse or cannot use the ones they have.Going to this post office for your package, you will be met with abuse, bullying and intimidation tactics so you won't come back.Find a different post office. Update 9/9/24:In addition to the above,they are now linking packages with two totally different tracking numbers and refusing delivery,even if they fit in my mailbox.They have done the same when both packages have different tracking numbers,are from two different places and one will fit in my mailbox.They link them in their system so I cannot file claims separately,even though they are different. Everyone knows that most Sheen packages come in bags that are fold up a bowl. My packages from Sheen usually are very small and easily fit in my mailbox. My mailbox is your typical apartment size wide and tall mailboxes. Because I file complaints, because I've gone in there and let them know directly with proof that their behavior is inappropriate. That they are the only post office that does this while others do not behave the way they do. They've gone above and beyond whenever they can to make sure that me getting my mail is darn near impossible. They worked quickly to get my package through along with those in front of me, in a methodical manner.

My pkg showed delivered in/at my mailbox and it wasn't. Filed claim on line and was told i would hear back in 24 - 48 hours. Nothing but crickets. sent an email 2 weeks ago to get status and again....crickets. Today I called the 800 number and was told that it was delivered to a different address but they would not tell what that address was. I asked if they would contact the local office to have the pkg retrieved and they said no. I have to go to the local office to request the pkg be retrieved. So the bottom line is, they don't respond to online claims, they make you do all the leg work to find the mail that you paid to get delivered to your home but was delivered to a different address recovered so you can have the merchandise you paid for. And are rude in the process at the 800 number. No wonder they go broke year after year and need more taxpayer dollars to continue to operate. Mail isn't being delivered. Package has been out for delivery for a week. Went to the Post office yesterday and was told if people don't show up they can't deliver the mail. Don't get you medications through the mail you'll die waiting for them. read more

I offered my salutations to the man behind the counter, and the cold eyed postal worker pointedly sighed in a huffy way and says, "Busy!" As if "Hello," right back at me had cost him any extra syllables. (But God forbid I say that out loud!) He then turns around and very obviously does his best to pretend he could no longer see me. Now trust, I ask for invisibilitypower, I just hadn't realized it came in yet! Anyhow, I expected nothing less, as this particular worker is constantly snarky with me whenever I come in, but to be frank, I was taken back by his abrubt & rough bark like snap! Nothing would make me happier than to give ya'll his name, but unlike this old, rude; (which let me just say, this accurately depicted memory of what took place by this ill mannered crank seemed again, clearly a personal, truthfully strange vendetta, but I suppose that is neither here nor there. I have simply yet to discover why Sir Sour-Puss has an unspoken grievance, which appears to make a bee line heading in my "Director's Chair," if you will. read more

It would be wonderful if they actually delievered mail. This has to be the poorest run post office in Spokane We haven't got mail for a week. Forget having informed delivery it just tells you the stuff you will never see. Rate increases are coming up and they blame the poor service on Amazon. Order heavy on Amazon so they will use UPS . This is one of my favorite post offices simply because they are one of the few with Saturday hours. I feel bad for the employees who must staff for my convenience, but the folks here are always upbeat when I come in. Efficient and smiling any day, any time. The service area is kinda cramped, so if it is busy things can get claustrophobic in a hurry. With all the square footage this building occupies, you would think they would have put a bigger area to get customers in. As with any Post Office, I would recommend trying to get there before 3pm to do your business because the after work crowd can get big, especially for the Christmas mailing crowd. All in all, one of the better Post Office experiences in Spokane Valley. Even on Saturdays. read more

I should start by stating the obvious: this is the Postal Service. They generally do things right, but there are plenty of hiccups. Yes, there are long lines, but I've gone plenty of times with only a few people. The employees are always nice, although problems are not always solved. Example: When I moved into my house in November, my mailbox was broken. I reported it immediately, and I was told they needed a replacement door. It is April and said door is still "on order." I just keep checking. The employees are always nice about it, but no one solves the problem. So, I have a po box.. Which semi-regularly has mail lost. Not ok. If I get a package, there's a 50-50 chance they'll tell me. Also not ok. But like I said... This is the Postal Service. read more

I've just never had a great experience in this post office. Of course I am trying to return something and I was driving by and figured I'd head in. The guy was rude right off the bat, I had a package I needed to send back but I wasn't sure if they would print a label or anything like that I came up to the counter he said "you ready!" I said "sure, just need some help, I..." he then looks at my package and says "oh you're not all done go to the back and you can buy the supplies there and the labels" I turn and go to the back I literally have no idea What I'm doing. I just said screw it I'll go to the Liberty Lake post office when I'm in the area (shout out to them cause I've always been helped there!) Supervisor there was a royal jerk. We recently moved and had a mailbox that was attached to our house. I had not received any mail yet so I called. He told me I needed to put a box out by the street. Ok... fine, but would've been nice to know for one and for two, are you going to pay for it? Nope. It's the responsibility of the owner. I asked him if he had my mail. He said no. I said I changed my address weeks before for the date it needed to be. He gave me the run around like it was my fault. I asked to speak to his supervisor 'I am the supervisor' ... okay well here's my # call me back when you find it... he ended up calling me back saying they did have it- but no apology. Nice. So two days after the phone call I go get my mail box to do said project and come home to a note (1 week after moving in) that they so graciously walked up and put in my mailbox explaining I needed a mailbox for the street- how kind! I don't usually post reviews, but had to at this point and time. I had a package that was supposed to be delivered a few days ago, said it on the tracking. It needed a signature so I waited all day for them to show up. They never rang or knocked or tried letting me know they were there, but left a slip in my mailbox. I was very upset and talked to a guy on the phone, he said they weren't required to knock or ring the doorbell, implying that they only did it when they felt like it. The supervisor called me and said they weren't supposed to because of safety reasons with dogs and people not having screen doors, which I totally understood. I went online days before this filling out an electric signature waiver which was applied to my package, and also rescheduled the package to be delivered the next day. I told the supervisor this and he told me I had to fill out the slip they gave me instead. I filled out the slip and literally handed the slip to the driver as he came, and I left, got back, and the slip was still sitting in my mailbox. He did say he didn't usually run that route but I explained to him that I was told to sign it and leave it for him. I work from 8-5 and I needed this package asap because it was extremely important, but everything I tried doing was not working. I now have to pick it up much later than I really needed to and to have it. Without that mail I had a lot of additional outside issues. I am a fedex delivery driver, I get the mail and package business, so with that being said I give a lot of slack and don't expect much, but this has been the worst experience I have ever had trying to receive mail. Constantly being told two different things, literally doing what I was told to do online, giving the slip to the driver directly, and doing everything in my power to get the package and them refusing to give it to me. I don't know why my review got moved to the post office at JBLM. This was for the Opportunity Post office 99206. I wish there was a zero star rating. The service at this post office is consistently bad. It is not unusual to be in a long queue and watch post office workers leave the counter and not come back. Just the other day I was watching one worker in super slow mode stamping a stack of nearly 50 envelopes. There were over 10 of us in line and the other worker just left. We were all at the mercy of the unfriendly staff. Save yourself a headache and a long wait. Drive a couple of miles to Veradale where you will get friendly service with hardly any wait at all. read more

I am not very happy with this post office. I moved to my current address in February. I have lost 2 separate checks in the mail, My SS registration papers, A Mouse, and Now my Dogs Tags have been lost. To Lose 5 items in 6 months is not a very good thing. this post offices mail carriers supervisors have no control over there carriers. period! the mail carriers tell the supervisor what they will do, and the supervisor has no say? they listen and do whatever the mail carriers say. I'm talking about the 3 I've delt with, Malisse, David and Jordon! They know who they are, & care about there carriers, so the carriers run the dept and not the Supervisors? Yes u read right, the Supervisors have lost control? when i worked for the postal service as a semi-truck driver, i couldn't say "hey i don't have to deliver my mail to the spokane valley, p.o! lol. i would have been written up, & a day off without pay! and the carriers could go home cause there's no mail for them to deliver, I didn't do my job! everyone in the valley would be pissed off, not getting there mail on time, i think? lol then decided not to deliver to the valley p.o. again... well, the supervisor would never allow that to happen! i guess there not supervisors anymore, there more like stupidvisors that take there marching orders fm there employees! lol it's no wonder the usps is a losing entity. it will always lose money as long as a union is involved! i shouldn't have retired, can't get fired, it's union and doesn't seem to matter to anyone if the employee does there job r not, not even the post masters? hope my carrier gets a flat tire, too much in a hurry to leave a package! read more
