Terrible customer service. Tried to pick up a package. Was told I couldn't. Lady seemed to have an attitude. Didn't even try to locate package. It wasn't like they were super busy me and one other person in the lobby. Of course lady was typical usual suspect. read more

The staff was very nice and helpful. They no longer let you use their tape gun for shipping. There has been a sign up, but now they are not allowing usage at all. I mailed a package, a few letters and a certified letter as well. I wasn't sure which way to go and the staff was helpful in helping me make a decision. Love coming here because the lines are always small. During a recent holiday left another post office location because the line was out the door to come here. When I arrived here to find a small line again. I love how huge this place is too. I am a person that appreciate a lot space versus on top of people. I have been coming for decades and discovered some major here I didn't know about. On one side of the building in the front of it sits, The Louisville Federal Credit Union. If other post offices are irradiating you, come here. read more

They say do not drop mail in box bring in to post office, took two of my bills into office on 8/20/2024 after 1:30pm placed inside box inside post office as of today one of the bills still have shown up, now have to stop payment on check and pay them to keep from getting late fees. I normally ship flat rates boxes via the self service station when I visit the post office. But this week I needed to ship a small padded envelope. There was no line inside so I walked on over. Kevin was standing at the counter & he warmly greeted me. I told him I just wanted my package shipped the cheapest way possible. He was so friendly while assisting me. My package arrived to its destination right on time this week. Normally during the day there is a lady standing at the door selling stamps. It's nice not to have to wait in line if this is the only thing you came for. She is always smiling when I walk in. Thank you to Kevin for a great experience at the Post Office on Monday. I'm planning a trip overseas late this year and needed to get my passport. This is one of the only locations that offers a Saturday service. I was able to make the appointment online quickly. Day of my appointment, I arrived early as directed. One worker was finishing up a family appointment for passports when I arrived. The other worker took my photo and reviewed my documents quickly to make sure I had what was needed. I was glad she did this as I had whited out some errors and apparently this is frowned upon. I was able to fill out a new form while waiting for the other appointment to finish up. Once it was my turn, the process was quick and easy. I was in and out in about 20 minutes, including waiting for the other appointment to finish. This location is open late and on weekends, which is nice if you have to get something sent immediately. read more

Gardiner Lane post office for 2 years states on the website that they close at 1:30 on Saturdays, but I got here again at 1:05 and it was not only locked but when I got inside they told me it was closed. I reminded them of their website schedule. Others came after me with the same problem. I've told them this before but no change. I'm now done with them and will start going to UPS! read more

I feel weird typing up a review for a Post Office, but POs need love too, right? This particular post office has always been close to whatever office I'm working at. I'm so used to this one that I find myself traveling here even when I'm not in the area. If I'm not mistaken, this is one of the main POs in the city. It's large! Maybe too large! With that being said, it makes me feel like I'm in an airport or some other importantly frantic place. Most importantly... they're open until 9PM! The U. S. Post Office located on Gardiner Lane is a-ok with me. I agree with Brad G that reviewing a post office seems a little odd but what I like about this particular one is that they have a massive amount of parking. I live downtown and this U S Post Office is a few miles away and not the closest to my home but I can zip out to Gardiner and know that parking will be a snap. There was also a nice worker stationed at the front of the building that told me exactly where my outgoing package should be placed. That was helpful. I was in and out in a flash. read more

By far my favorite post office. Tons of parking and easy to access. My favorite thing is the fact they have so many self served counters. Other post offices have maybe two . The lines inside are always long. Easy to find a mailbox. The post office in St. Matthews has two now. There are like 12 here. The location is also great. Near 65 and 264. The new postmaster general has new rules which are causing delays in package delivery. I waited a week for delivery while my package (a present) sat at Middletown. I did not have my gift in time for the occasion. Ridiculous! If it ain't broke don't fix it. Packages should be delivered in a timely manner and not sit at the facility for a week! The people here are very rude. All I did was ask a question & got a rude response. The lady acts as if she doesn't enjoy her job.

These lazy a holes held on to multiple packages I have dropped off for 3+ days, resulting in multiple customer refund requests. Also they get real snotty if you bring more than 3 packages to the counter to scan in and their lobby package chute is usually inoperable. Skip this location at all costs. read more

Although it is not the post office closest to my house, I love this location! The employees are polite, quick, and efficient. Also, the facility is open later than most (8pm on weekdays- WOO!), which is great for me because sometimes I can't get there before 5pm. Because it is the main post office, this location is also substantially larger than the others. I would highly recommend this post office if you want a pleasant experience. read more

This post office has horrible customer service. If you are not familiar with the mailing process and which packages to use do NOT rely on the employees to help You. My first encounter I used a box the employee told me to use, just to get all the way to the front of the line for another employee to tell me it was the wrong box in a not so nice tone. Today I figured after the last time I finally knew what to do without the help from an employee. I proceed to grab the box that I was instructed to grab the last time only for a lady that worked there to tell me to use another box that was smaller and would be better fit for what I was mailing. She left out the fact that those boxes cost rather than let me keep my free box that I was initially intending to use. After informing the other employee that I did not know those boxes cost he proceeded to just say yes, scanned and tossed my box to the back without asking me if I would like to trade it in for the free box and then looked at me for my payment. I was highly disappointed with the customer service there and the lack of regard to their customers. Each time I am told something new about the mailing and packaging process and I end up leaving angry and disappointed each time. Although this location is the most convenient for me I think I will try to use another location just to receive better service. read more

The USPS number 800-275-8777 is where we are supposed to call but no one answers, it is just a recording. How in the world can we get a live person because even it a message is left, no one calls us back. I called the Gardiner Lane number which is the Head Office but again, it is a recording and refers us back to call the 8777 number which is hopeless. A mail was delivered for my son but since my son works 3rd shift, he went to the post office to pick it and brought with him the pink card and they said that the letter was not there. That letter was from the Auction place. He called the Auction place and was told that the post office holds mail for 3 weeks before the return it back to sender. We tried calling and calling the 8777 number but the wait is more than an hour. How can it be more than an hour while no one answers the phone? Can anyone please answer the phones? This is so frustrating!!!!!!!!! read more
