I've been coming to this post office for years. It gets the job done, and conveniently located. Not a lot of parking available. And yes, the people aren't lying when they say terrible customer service. It definitely seems like they don't want to be there at all, and their attitude can definitely be ill received by people who are more timid. I've shipped packages using this place for years. Nothing has ever gone missing. So they're clearly doing something right. Maybe all the energy that they aren't using for customer service goes toward making sure everything's sorted properly. Lol. just don't go in here expecting Chic-fil-a level attitude. Not happening. I believe the value is good. I save a lot shipping here than going to a privately owned shipping company. And there's a diversity of services offered, from shipping things, to sending certified mail, to private PO boxes ( I recommend going the UPS route for those, tbh) but it's a good store. read more

Why is, what should be a simple and straightforward experience to a tax-payer funded space, tainted by horrible customer service and inability to fulfill a request?! Came in on 8/10 to one employee working the counter. She's an African American woman with glasses. When it was finally my turn, I simply asked for help with shipping one envelope and wanted to purchase two shipping envelopes. She said I had to prepare the envelope myself (aka attach the label) which wasn't a problem and offered tape. When she asked me to pack it up and step to the side, I had told her that I just need to slip the small item now and I can take the tape. She was so upset I didn't follow her command and went on to say she no longer had tape, that there were some to purchase back there (there wasn't) and that she no longer wanted to help me. That's how fast she switched up, for simply not "following her orders" - it's a control and power thing and you see this time and time again. She went on to accuse me I was holding up the line when SHES the one refusing a customer a simple service b/c she felt disrespected. She then leaves the counter and walks to the back and disappears for close to 5 minutes while the line grows. Comes back like nothing, doesn't acknowledge me and asks for next customer. I left purchasing but it was such a frustrating experience. How are you acting like this when people need to ship out time sensitive material?? I ask the postmaster to evaluate their staff, I see this person is mentioned for their rude behavior time and time again. The public does not want to be treated like children when simply needing a service. read more

This African American lady that works there is RIDICULOUSLY RUDE. I waited over 20 minutes for her to finally come to the counter and when she supposedly was helping me out gave me her stank face, ugly attitude and when I would ask her a question she was on her phone. That lady needs to be fired immediately and they need to rehire people who actually want to work and get the job done. All her answers to my questions were I DON'T KNOW and I CAN'T DO NOTHING ABOUT THIS. That bitch is being paid to be useless. read more

0 stars. So rude. I wish the workers would at least talk to us like we are human beings. It's actually so upsetting, makes you question why USPS is still in business. read more

0 stars workers are inexperienced attitudes are ridiculous at this point they just need to close the location completely. Wasted 1 hour 10 minutes just to send a certified letter read more

Every time I come to this location there's nobody at the counter. When there is someone there they have a smirk attitude.. I just don't understand, the postal service pays well and has great benefits so why does it seem like they hate their job so much? read more

Worst attitude, I can't even ship my stuff out without feeling like I'm doing something wrong just for getting a shipping label , why isn't usps shut down crazy work. read more

Consistently rude service. No greeting no courtesy just attitude. It shouldn't feel uncomfortable just to ship a package!!!!!!!

Always closed for some reason. Came once around noon and weekday it was completely closed. Came a second time a different time and it was open but no one to check out. Waited about 15 min in line with other people until someone finally shows up. Angrily at that. Tuesday around 2:45pm. Gotta stop wasting peoples time and just go to a secure post office that is guaranteed open all the time. read more

Extremely unpleasant workers. Especially the old lady who looks like she doesn't want to be there and has a permanent annoyed face lol come on usps put her out of her misery, her energy is the worse like just take my package please that's literally part of her job. read more

To those who have had negative experiences like mine, particularly with the older woman at this USPS location who is consistently rude and unhelpful, I encourage everyone to scan the QR code at the bottom of their receipt and complete the survey based on their experience. It seems they don't take Yelp reviews seriously, so this might be a more effective way to provide feedback. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Today, I was yelled at simply for trying to drop off packages. I understand if certain policies are in place, but they should be clearly stated--not arbitrarily enforced. When I asked for clarification, I was given a manager's number that was conveniently "not receiving calls at the time." Customer service is crucial, even in a government-run business. Being rude and dismissive shouldn't be acceptable. USPS, please do better--hire employees who are willing to assist the public. Also, it would be helpful if USPS policies were standardized across all locations, as many of us have schedules that make it difficult to arrive within certain time frames due to family or business obligations. read more

I would not complain, but.... I have only 45 minutes for Lunch. Only 1 employee and she decided to take her sweet time. Also she had a bad attitude a really appeared to "hate" her job. USPS should film or send in a "Secret -Shopper!" USPS is being "hated & losing money" due to the slow & very unfortunate unfriendly behavior of this employee! Came in there for stamps and called ahead of time and they told me that the stamps were there. She did not even want to try to look for them. Please hire someone.... Anyone who is willing and able (with a SMILE) to actually WORK!!!!! read more

US Post Office - Always downnnn - Post Offices Near Me - Los Angeles, California

They fake the system is down everyday. Then for some people they would scan and for some other they wouldn't. Please make management take responsibility of this. Worst quality service you would ask a question they don't even reply . read more

The ladies working here were very unpleasant. No smiles and I felt like I was an inconvenience for being there. No drop off packages after 4pm. I was confused and said I didn't understand and that's when the attitude was raised in her voice " Ma'am I am I'm not gonna say this again."because I was genuinely confused and asked her to repeat what she was telling me because it really made no sense to me. I have never encountered a post office that did not accept drop off packages after a certain time. Please see the other reviews. I wish I had checked them first. Life is hard. A little kindness to other goes a long way. read more

This post office is near my job and every time I go, not sure if it's bad luck or what but there is only one person at the window assisting and the line is always long. I spend my 35 min break waiting to be attended by the one person. They really need to add more diverse people to work there. If they could hire more staff it would make the process of getting my stuff and shipping out important papers easier. read more

Rude, rude, rude! I'd give it "0" stars but it doesn't allow me! Who taught these people manners because they have none! Makes me question who raised them. Their facial expression of annoyance to assist customers is pathetic! Supervisors for this location need to take action and train these "people" on customer service. If not trainable or willing to change they should seek other employment! Definitely not recommend this USPS! read more

Drop off hours wrong online they closed it at 4 pm in a hand written unofficial note. Employees are just rude and lazy

I enjoy coming to this post office. I've been to a few other locations and the other ones have long lines and staff that are not friendly. This location is amazing. They have short lines, the staff are quick and they are friendly. I'm hear about twice a week and I never have to wait more than 5 min in line. They also have parking which is a plus because since it is LA. They have parking spaces inside but there is also street parking. read more

They are open till 5:30pm but don't take any drop off packages after 4pm now.... They used to take packages till close up until last month. What's the point of being open till 5:30pm? I never expect anyone working at a government facility to be happy to be there but they are obviously annoyed that anyone even uses this post office. The unwelcoming environment discouraged me from using this post office and now with these weird drop off rules, I'll be going elsewhere. There's post offices all over LA. Pick a better one. read more

I went here right before the post office closed to drop off my priority package and an old black woman said "we dont accept pre-paid labels after 4" nowhere it shows a sign that says that. She even called me "deaf" "can you not hear" rude as& mf. There wasnt a post office that ever done this before. She just made that up because she doesnt want anymore people coming in at 5:30. It makes no sense that they would take time to make labels for the other customers but they dont accept a drop-off package. read more

A post office is a post office, it all depends when you get there, and what the mood of the USPS workers is. This is my local Post Office, somedays are great some days are bad. Today I had a bad day, it was busy and I was waiting for over 20 minutes for a parcel that I received a week ago?! How you mean waisting my time and miscommunication?! The lady could not find it off course and told me to come back tomorrow; "cause I go for lunch. Service!! That's what the S stands for in USPS. Okay I had better days, but to give a Post Office 4-5 stars??? Unless you go every time to pick up a big check or presents people send you. Many years ago I was a postman myself for a season...so I know the game and we did not play fair, if you know what I mean. read more

This USPS location is not far from where I live. I delivered packages from there, mail, and have bought postage. I usually go when it's not too busy. So, I decided to sell books and had a box of about 25 pounds. It's not heavy to lift, but if you had to carry it about half a mile to this location, it was a very bad decision. Well, when I got there, I lingered because of the summer heat and it was so cool inside from the AC. No complaints, but you can't really have an amazing experience from the post office. read more

A - She's tired B - She's Lazy C - She hates her job D - All of the above First, I would like to say that everyone at this location has been and is great until today with this lady. So, I walk into this location which I have been going for few months and up until today everyone's been very nice and helpful. I usually bring about couple big bags of shipments and I put the bags in the carts to help especially if they are females. However, when I went in to drop off my shipment today at 5:07 a new Lady opens the door and after looking at my 2 bags tells me that they don't have empty carts and that I need to take it to 36th and Vermont. Never heard of a courier that rejects shipment and can't make out a logical reason as to why she would say this knowing with traffic and parking I won't make it there by 5:30. And who knows how busy that location might be. So, she tells me to take it to another location for awhile but I persist and kept on asking and offered to break bag and put it in the cart individually. Then her coworker comes in from the back with 2 empty carts and by now she couldn't lie anymore so she hesitantly accepts my bags and I thanked her. The reason why I am putting this review up is because of what happened while I was walking out thinking "A - She's tired" being the positive person that I am. Then she opened her mouth and screamed at her coworker who did nothing wrong "Why did you bring those carts to the front and make me look like an IDIOT". I think we as a society forget that it's not our leaders that make this country great but it's the people that we meet everyday in our community or the people that we work together that makes this country great. I hope this review will engrave in her mind, until I pull it off, that these days with the technology we have that it's pretty hard to get away with bad to thoughtless doings. After all we are all trying to do our job during this Holiday Season and we certainly need your cooperation. read more

I don't understand why post offices always have terrible reviews. This is my current local post office. Lines can be long sometimes, but the staff are always helpful, friendly, and courteous. And it's a post office. It does all the post office things just as well as any other post office. read more

Mixed tips and reviews and I have to wonder if bad experience starts from within one? I walked up to inquire on self serve stamp machine and they don't have that option available. No need to fret, presented my envelope and requested 1st class. Made small chat with clerk and shared a good conversation. No one else in line at 12:30pm. Location is on a busy stretch of Washington Blvd with very small parking lot and handicap stalls directly in front of main entrance. Also, no cross walk adjacent if you're approaching on foot. I don't recommend crossing illegally as cars and commercial trucks tend to speed on this stretch. As mentioned earlier, no self services besides a courtesy scale along with a few tables for your convenience. Two clerks on duty behind 1" clear acrylic, speak hole and slip drawer. No restrooms Pura vida :) read more

They don't follow the business hours as posted. I was there (along with other customers) at 5:27pm today 6/5/2017 and the doors were closed and locked. I run a small business and I ship many items everyday and now my customers will get their order late. I don't know what's going on with this post office. They have screwed me over a few times now. Not happy with this place. 7/28 closed early again. Couple of us were outside. 11/10 5:07 pm. Closed early again. They're suppose to be open til 530pm. Even though Veterans Day is a USPS holiday, it's on Saturday. No reason to close early. There was about 5-6 customers rejected the couple minutes I was there. You can rely on the Vermont and Jefferson post office better. read more

Sandra answered the phone and was so helpful and courteous, I needed a specific priority mail box to send a birthday gift with a shape/length that would not fit in the more common flat rate boxes and that like eight other post offices I called beforehand did not have in stock. I consider this USPS outlet the bizarro of all post offices, and here is why: #1 - There is never a line longer than one or two peeps waiting. #2 - There is always parking available even for this tiny outlet. #3 - They are courteous, polite, answer all your questions, and OMG they ask you if you need help or assistance. #4 - I can be in and out within 5 mins tops. Please be nice and don't corrupt the nice people that work here. I don't want my bizzaro special post office to become like the rest of them in our world. read more

Holy goodness, there's some entertainment value to be had here, y'all... this place has counter top to ceiling bullet-proof plexiglass across all the stations, so it makes it a little bit harder to complete your transactions. However, I was able to purchase my stamps just fine and the folks were neither memorably awesome or terrible, so 3 stars means it's ok in my book :) TIP: I passed the location the first time I looked for it, but just know it's behind some chain-link fences in an industrial strip of businesses. This place also has limited parking, but it seemed to not be an issue when I was there ~4pm on a weekday. read more
