To top it off they told me to get it done at Round Lake Library which is also closed. Smug, rude & refused to work when there is no one else there. The Post Office has such a bad reputation for employees being miserable, you'd think they'd be trying to change that! But nope. The Good: they have a 24-hour lobby where you can pack and send packages. Also good, is that their Main office with staff has fairly decent hours. Better than others, i believe. For example on Saturday they're open till 3pm, which is fabulous.

There was a young clerk patiently helping a family with passports, and disseminating useful information, but I didn't get that person, I got the water bottle drinker...who told me they were out of forms and to go to another location. It has all the usual USPS services, as usual. As for parking, there is decent amount of street parking. Some are for 2 hour parking, and majority of them are metered parking. Be very aware that this location is surrounded by a brewery and couple of restaurants and stores, which, on a busy time, make it hard to find parking. I'm not sure if they have their on off-street parking, but I would guess they don't. And Lake Bluff police do drive around quite frequently to prevent any illegal parking.

I'm pretty sure they have some new workers and they're absolutely amazing. I've recently just had a woman help me with processing my passport application, which was very important to me because I travel out of the country a lot and she helped me and my ethnic family of three other people very fast and efficiently with zero problems and triple checked to make sure all the information is accurate and I cannot stress enough How patient they are. I've had my passport and other important paperwork done more than two times at this place now and it is a 10/10. And if you're from Illinois, especially Chicago you know how awful USPS workers can be especially in the city sending you home for any missing document or even using the wrong tone with them, but they are truly the best over here.

On March 5, '26, I received a bundle of mail (held together by a rubber-band). This mail was postmarked Jan., and included several bills that I was subsequently charged a late fee on. When I spoke with the head of the A.H. post office (Euclid Ave.), she offered no apology, but said she would look into it and call me back. I've yet to receive a call back. The fact that I receive other peoples' mail (way too often), is bad enough, but misplacing my mail from Jan., and suddenly delivering it in March w/o explanation, is inexcusable. The postal service from this location is beyond poor, and seems to be getting increasingly worse over time!
