I want to send a big thank you to Evana at Lake Zurich Post Office. We received a message stating my daughter's prescription glasses were delivered this afternoon. But nothing was in the mailbox and/or outdoor step. I called PO and talked to Evana. We went back and forth in total of 6 phone calls. I was getting impatient but she continued to show patience and willingness to help me find the glasses. She just called me, did not give details but just stated that glasses will be delivered in an hour. I am sure she went above and beyond to help.locate this package and I want to say big thank you to her. Very rude clerk at the desk. When I stopped by there was no one in line, the clerk was watching video on his phone while at work and seemingly very unhappy to see me there. Malik, at the Lake Zurich office, needs to be fired. If you go to Google reviews, there are well over 60-100 reviews on this man for rude, condescending, unapologetic, loud, boisterous, unprofessional and worst soft skills professionalism provided by Malik. He wS, not only, rude to the two customers in front of me today, but rude to me as well. I wrote it on Googke reviews today as well but want to ensure Yelp spreads the word too. HOW can they keep this person employed at this office? He is horrible and treats everyone so unprofessional. Get rid of Malik and let Jerome take care of the customers. Very slow at getting mail delivered in a timely manner. They offer no help at the location and good luck if you call you'd be lucky to get an answer. My mail carrier does not bring the signed for package and knock on the door, he just left the sorry I missed you sign. All in all this place needs a major boost in how they are running. I called Monday, 8/31/23 to have a package redelivered today 8/3/23. I was assured by the lady I spoke to that it will be delivered today. I called the post office and I was told that the lady had a lot of certified mail that needed signatures so it will probably not going to be delivered until around 5-6pm today. They reached out to the mailman and was told that my Package was not in her possession. As it turned out, my package was not taken from the bin. I am so annoyed as I had to wake up early and had my eyes glued to the CCTV to make sure that I did not miss the delivery. The gentlemen promised me that it will be delivered tomorrow. If I could give it ZERO starts starts I would. By far the worst post office I have ever been too. Rude employees that act like they grace the customer with their presence by simply doing their job. I've been needing to mail a package for a while, and was excited to see that this location has a self-serve mail kiosk. Unfortunately, the second time I tried to use it, it was out of order. But it was wonderful to learn that this location has this feature available, and that I can mail a package regardless of the time. read more

Extremely rude Lake Zurich post office manager. She should never be dealing with customers at all with this type of attitude. When I asked for her name she completely ignored me ,pretending she was busy.( Afro-American woman ) I can not believe she is being paid from our taxes !!!! Nightmare . Terrible Post Office! I have been receiving other peoples mail which I have to mail back, "sent to wrong address." My pension check stubs and insurance information was never received. It upsets me to know end that someone else has my mail containing my personal information. They need to do better and pay closer attention to addresses when delivering mail. It's not difficult and I never had these problems until recently. The old school mail men and women are a thing of the past! Oh, and having to ask them to please close my mailbox when they are done is apparently a big deal! read more

We called the other day because we received a "Final Notice" for a package - we never received any notices prior to this! When we called & talked to this person - hope she was not the Post Master - all she did was holler! If we tried to say anything she said we were being difficult & to let her finish! She also said it was not the carriers fault, he didn't do anything wrong! Really??? She also told my husband it was from animal control!?!?! They delivered the package the next day - it had been sitting at the PO since July 2, 2019 and it was from the VA - yes - prescriptions for my husband who is a disabled vet!!! What does the VA have to do with Animal Control?!?! How is this not the carriers fault? Someone please explain - nothing had to be signed for & it sat there since July with no regard to deliver it. I think this Post Office is most efficient. Always a very busy location. I've never been in without having to wait in some sort of line. Therefore I allow a little extra time, so I'M not impatient...Whether One or three people working behind the counter keeps this place moving. They all know what they are doing and always advise me with the best approach to what my needs are. To all you complainers, what's a little rudeness? They are busy! No time for chit chat, taking care of all of our/your needs. The best thing you could do is to get over yourselves. *I would also like to give a shout out to our Postmaster in our neighborhood. I have moved three times in the same neighborhood over the past several years, and no matter where we are, postmaster Mike R. alWAYS gets our mail to us no matter where we are or which address is posted. That is a most appreciated courtesy. Clearly just kindness, and above and beyond what's expected. Many times have been very important and necessary mail. Website clearly states that passport service is available on a walk-in basis - "Walk-ins are accepted". They aren't. Made a special trip over there and was told that appointments were necessary. Pointed out the website language was told "We know, we need to fix that". Told to go to Costco for a photo and Ela Library for the passport - so three stops instead of one. In better news Costco photo is cheaper and Ela Library staff were terrific, professional, and clearly knew what they were doing. You really let me down LZ USPS and didn't seem to care. read more

We've lived at the same address for over 20 years. Receiving someone else's mail is the norm. My kids missed many birthday parties because the invitations never came. I call the post office every time. They've put 2 pink stickers on the box in an attempt to get the carrier to make sure it's ours before leaving. I also have the names of all our family members boldly posted on the inside lid of the mailbox. I live in Long Grove. Last week, I received 5 pieces of mail that belonged to other people. A couple for other Long Grove addresses, a couple for Lake Zurich, and one for Island Lake. This time, I spoke to Victor said he'd get back to me. He never did. On Jan 8, I spoke to Melanie. Worst Post Office ever. Tracking has stopped on two separate packages at the Lake Zurich post office. One we ordered back in November and the tracking shows it entered this branch in December but never left. Simply says "delayed". The other was a small package I ordered on Jan. 2. Tracking shows it has sat in Lake Zurich post office since January 5. I live 15 minutes from that office. When I call I get automated messages with a 50 minute wait to speak to a human.
