The Laveen Post Office is, in my opinion, the worst post office I've ever dealt with. Credit where it's due: the carriers are polite when I see them in person. Inside the building is a different story. The clerks are consistently rude and make it obvious they'd rather be anywhere else. When I asked to speak to a supervisor about an unresolved delivery issue, the clerk refused to even check if one was available and told me management doesn't speak to customers because they're busy. I've reported this to USPS customer service, but I don't expect much. Laveen deserves better, and until this location gets a bigger facility and a real commitment to customer service, I'd set your expectations low before walking in. read more

What could improve? Just about everything. Their mail people need to pay attention to where they're putting mail in the community mailboxes and when they say a package is delivered to your mailbox and it's not. I've lost a few packages that way. Had a lot of miss delivered mail in the last 20 years. read more

I come here regularly to ship, every other day almost. I've never had a problem! The staff has always been nice to me. Everyone's in a hurry sure, this line is always out of the door so you can imagine that they're just trying to get their usual work day. Have your s*** packaged and ready to go, yes you have to pay for tape. Same as every other post office. Ralph is awesome! So is the lady that usually works the counter too. I just hate that this place is so small! Two registers, busy busy location. Laveen is in need of a MAJOR upgrade. read more

I ask of the community to petition to expand this office to a larger station. The Laveen area is steady growing as there are more houses and now apartment complexes being built. This post office is always crowded and we sometimes get lucky when there are two clerks. The clerks are always friendly, diligently working hard and steady to keep the wait time at a minimum. The staff surely needs to be more employees and space needs to be larger to accommodate the community. read more

So, I typically ship alot but this is not my fave location for the post office. Why? As others have said, it's tiny. 2 registers at once on the busiest day. This is why I choose to whenever possible, pay for my stuff online and then just bring in the packages to be shipped. No standing in line, no waiting, just here you go, thanks have a great day! I try never to come when it's busy, or around the xmas holidays. I've seen the line hanging out the door and literally 4 people there and it's already full. The employees have always been helpful and I typically hear people complaining that they've had to buy tape. Guys, have you never shipped anything before? It's always been that way! I've been shipping since 2005 regularly at post offices. I prefer the larger ones with the self service area where you can just stand in line and do your own thing because let's face it, we are in a hurry. But, this is the closest one to me. Yes, it needs an upgrade, the prices have gone up for USPS at least 3x in the last 18months alone. It is A lot to ship these days. But so is UPS and Fed ex. Unfortunately I have to ship most holiday gifts to family who doesn't live in my state and I've had to resort to Amazon shopping just for the free delivery aspect. I get it though, USPS has been under a lot of stress for years and I believe are underpaid and overworked. Sadly it's not fair for those who work there and for us consumers. Be smart and have your stuff ready to go, bring your own tape! Or go online and bring the packages over. As a new resident of the area I drove past this post office not realizing that this tiny building is the post office. The population and new builds expansion in the area have exploded in the last few years so I was expecting a much bigger building. It is definitely a small town post office in what is no longer a small town. Hopefully it will be upgraded soon. I visited in July when it was not busy but I hate to imagine Christmas season. The parking lot is small, the building is small but it is very charming. I found the people that work inside to be friendly and helpful. I had no problems mailing things out or parking but I can foresee this place being a nightmare during busy package mailing season. read more

This Laveen post office is a joke. The lady working there is very unkind and unprofessional. I had to send two regular sized envelopes that include very important documents to a same non-profit organization in town. She told me to use the service costs me $20 per envelope ( that is $40 for both) otherwise it is not guaranteed to be delivered in a few days since they expect many delay and lost. So I left this office and went to the tolleson office. The guy working there was very helpful and my costs for overnight was only $9.99 for both envelopes. Since my envelopes had already first class postages on he even gave me discount for the postages on the service. I could track the service and my envelopes were delivered safely next day. read more

Upgrading this review to 4 stars. While the underlying issue such as lack of parking, small, old building, etc obviously haven't changed and cannot change (unless...magic?) , the staff has been nothing but helpful and hardworking since I've created my original review. And what's more, the entire mood has changed for the better. Everyone's pretty upbeat, cheery, even joke around - especially if you're a regular. I've never laughed out loud dropping off boxes at any other USPS but at this one's it's a weekly thing lately. My first review was during the heaviest COVID-19 times and I'm sure my own mood as well as the employees facing holiday shipping stress along with being potentially exposed to the 'rona virus at any moment by one or more of the gajillion customers didn't help the vibes. I've had several issues come up that were my own fault, and every single time one of the guys and gals at this location helped me without making me feel like an idiot. While I still hope and beg to USPS HQ to have a bigger postal office built in Laveen to accommodate our growth, at least the OGs on 51st and Dobbins are keeping things light and right. My 4 stars are solely for the people working there. And I'd give them a 5 but it feels like that would invalidate my entire original review - but that building and horrendous parking are still only 2 stars. read more

I walked in there to return a package. as I put my items on the table and explained her what I was there for, the lady immediately told me with an attitude they could ship those items and at the same time she was shaking her head like if I'm suppose to know that. The main guy that's always here working is pretty cool most times. I know working for the post office sucks for sone people and the service is always talked about. I don't normally try to complain about the post office because what's the point anyways. And, it's really not the workers even when they have an attitude with you. However... when you have a prepaid return label and the instructions say to just bring the items to the post office and they'll package and ship out, I don't expect at all to be told the box needs to be taped! And, then to state they don't have tape to spare and I have to buy it?? I remember having to do this last year, but it was almost okay because I didn't expect them to do the packaging. I had to run back to the car to grab money and felt bad for the long line. Just BS. I bought the tape and told them to keep the damn thing and let folks use it when they need tape. If I could give zero stars that would be more fitting. In 2017 we have boatloads of Tech and yet these bozo's can't get things right. My package takes forever to get from LA CA 7 days. It arrives in Laveen in 6 days. Only to be forwarded to Carefree rather than delivered to the right place. I don't even understand why our tax dollars fund this bunch of ass hats. They have lost and or delivered to wrong address more than I can count but the postmaster still thinks her carriers are the best and resents that I call them retards. My guess is retards feel insulted to be lumped in with mail men. I have stopped working with vendors that use the us postal service to ship packages maybe if enough shippers stop using them it will force them to finally go under and see an end to this madness. read more

Today I was working on my lab top looking out the window, the mail man put mail in the mailbox, shortly after that a white car came behind him and took the contents out of (only) my mail box. HIGHLY disappointed that when I called in to post office to voice my concern, no one answered!! I would give this post office a zero if I could. Every time I go there the employees are extremely rude & there is a problem. They have lost multiple packages of mine & my neighbors. Missing mail etc. when asked about it the employees don't care to help at all. Don't even drop packages or envelopes off here. My last package got a small tear in it while in my car & I asked for a small piece of tape to secure it & she absolutely refused & told me to go to a different post office. . . The customer service is AWFUL. They are constantly misplacing Mail & packages. I drive about 30 min just so I don't have to go here. Worst employees & service ever. read more

I'd love it if I could get a package delivered in one piece without it taking for freaking ever to get to me. I ordered a BRAND NEW two weeks ago. It took forever to make it to me and then when it finally got here today, the packaging was ripped and the book so badly crumpled that now I have to return it so I can get a new book. This was supposed to be a gift, now it's going to be about a month late to the person it was for. How hard is it to treat packages nicely? Did you have to run it over fifty times before you delivered it? This isn't the first time that this has happened.
