This place is a joke... staff has horrible attitudes, service is horrendous . Have had more lost and return to sender packages. Seems the only thing they get right these days is junk mail. This post office is currently without a post master. No one is in charge. Current counter clerks are relatively inexperience and can't help you with anything out of the ordinary. They not have a manager at the post office to refer to. read more

Im constantly getting packages at this post office the lines are usually pretty short except for the holidays. Craig and Jacki are the nicest employees other reviews mentioned Craig being rude but he's never once been rude to me he's always been helpful even when he has to go to the back to get my piles of packages. USPS has become a significant source of frustration for us since relocating to the mountain. It stands out as the sole aspect I dislike about our mountain living experience, mainly due to the untrained employees lacking the necessary skills for USPS operations. The USPS manager, Elizabeth Ivey, consistently falls short when it comes to providing answers or solutions. Under her supervision, several of my packages have gone missing, and she offers no explanations, leaving me without any recourse. I am beginning to think the possibility that either she or someone else at the post office might be pilfering my packages, as they never get returned to the sender, and there's no trace of their whereabouts. Today, when I requested her supervisor's contact information, she provided the IT department's number when I called, leaving me with no means of reaching her superior once again. read more

Extremely clean, and the staff are always friendly, as well as helpful, they all seem to like their job! Even during the holidays! My location in particular everyone has a PO BOX, so all residents keep the employees on the toes! And they do a great job! read more

When I first moved here 20 years ago, the Post Office was run smoothly, it served its community efficiently, you could always count on the Post Office to take care of your postal needs. Now, the Post Office is almost never open, it's closed on the weekend, you can't even use the outside mailbox on Sundays, they tape it all up with garbage bags so you can't even stick mail-in the outside mailbox on Sunday. Whoever is running this Post Office is doing a total disservice to this community. When I first came here you could go to the Post Office at 6 o'clock in the morning and it would be open and you could get to your mailbox. You can't do that anymore, they don't open until 7:30 a.m. They close at 4:30, if you're a working person I feel really sorry for you, when can you get to the Post Office within their banker's hours? Whoever is responsible for running the Lake Arrowhead Post Office should be fired. The Post Office no longer serves its community, it is a total disgrace. You can never reach anybody on the phone, and even if you could, they would offer very little help. I am totally disgusted with a Lake Arrowhead Post Office. read more

I have never been treated more rudely then by the postal employees in Lake Arrowhead CA! They don't even have mail delivery in the town so you have to rent a POBox in order to get mail and heaven forbid you have to go to the service window - you get blown away with rudeness, apathy and incompetence. read more

Only giving two stars because Craig is always helpful with my family. We don't use this post office anymore because we moved, but there was one gentleman who was always extremely rude to me whenever I went in there. Though it's often busy, the workers here are always very polite and happy to help. They service each customer as quick as possible and with a smile. The post office is clean and safe, even at night. Parking is better than most post offices on the mountain. read more

I don't know who decides how many employees work for Christmas holidays but there seems to be a lack of employees during peak mailing periods. When I was told no blue slips were put in boxes on the 23rd and 24th it upset me that some people wouldn't have their gifts on Christmas. I've never heard of this policy. I understand that they are very busy and understaffed. But so are the people who have to stand in line for over an hour just to check a tracking number or pick up packages. I needed to get photos to send in a passport, something they offer. I called in, they only accepted photo appointments on a certain day and then told me to call back that day to ensure they had enough photo paper. I called back a few hours before my appointment and they said the guy wasn't there to check on the paper stock so I couldn't count on it. What is the point in going to an appointment for a passport photo when they don't have any photo paper?! I skipped the appointment and went to Crestline where they were more than happy to help me without an appointment and they had their paper in stock. read more

I stand corrected on my review 2 weeks ago. Went back to during the busiest possible day ( Dec 22 ) and they were outstanding. Getting anything From amazon that gets shipped UPS to the post office can be an issue because UPS has often shipped to the wrong post office. Although I listed Blue Jay as the ship to UPS sent it to Lake Arrowhead. The people there took the time to look 15 mins for my package and they could of easily said it has already been returned. Slow service for short hours. Missing mail and packages. Long lines. No handicapped access or seats for the really long wait. I really dislike going there. We have no mail delivery in this area. I hear Cedar Glen and Twin Peaks are much better. Postmaster did nothing when I had missing packages that were signed for per the merchant. No resolution. It took me a year to get my driver license in the mail. They kept seeing it back. read more

They are really rude there. I honestly dread having to go in. The older blonde woman with a high pitch voice is BEYOND rude. Makes little rude passive aggressive comments and then smiles or laughs after to make it seem like she's being nice. Trust me I am not the only one that thinks she is rude. This post office is by far the worst post office in the United States. First of all they are rude and very very lazy --- no customer service. So packages are delivered to them with a street address and they send it back. At any rate I called the Post Office and found out that if I paid for a PO Box at their location (since my PO Box is in Blue Jay) but my home zip code is in Lake Arrowhead, I was told that they wouldn't send the packages back because my address would be on file. So that is what I did --- however they still sent packages back because they are to darn lazy to look up the address associated with the package. They are rude and all should be fired --- but hey government employees who have job security! The Blue Jay post office goes out of their way to help--great customer service. At any rate they don't even deserve a 1 star. read more

Horrible post office. I've witnessed on several occasions very rude customer service to their customers. I myself had package overnighted only for them to lose the package. The man with the grey hair upfront was so rude to one lady I had to say something. She was not even being rude, just asked a question and he told her "Tough! Life isn't fair!"
