Not sure why post offices get such a bum rap, but the services at this one was exceptional and as expected. The lines move fast and everyone is friendly. I saw it had mailboxes and lots of them, so if you need one, head out to Park Row. I can't speak to how this post office would manage your mail though. read more

Kudos for having a usps in katy. Buttttt the car entrance is misleading since it looks like a two way- it's really a one way. Obviously they are understaffed and the worker I always manage to get seems so grumpy. To be fair I rarely go to a usps office where the workers are happy (exception is Hawaii kai usps on Oahu), but to rolls your eyes and sigh at people is kind of rude. This post office knows how to deliver packages as well as customer service. The Park Row office is where I go when I have extra time because there is typically some other errand I can run in this area. Plus, the extra time they save me by keeping the lines down helps me get things done in a more streamlined way. People here seem to get plenty of customer service but the extra time they spend with the employees doesn't slow things down. There are plenty of postal workers at the counters to make sure the line keeps moving and people leave happy. The Automatic Postal Center is also well designed with a bin that feeds into a back room so it never gets full and jams the door. So, when I have things to drop by and run, I can be in and out in less than 2 minutes - my pre-paid parcels are dropped and on their way in record time. Congratulations on making this one of the best post offices in town. I commend all of the employees at this location for making the trip there speedy, friendly, and one of the most efficiently run post offices I've had the pleasure of visiting. read more

This location has the absolute worst mail carriers by far! Today makes the 10th package in the last 3 months that says it has been delivered by yet, nothing has arrived in my mailbox or front door. It's incredibly frustrating to track a package for days and see that it's been delivered and you walk out to retrieve it and your keyed mailbox is completely empty! Unless your package is insured there is nothing the post office can do to replace these items. I'd love to know where all these packages have mysteriously disappeared off to? If you have recently moved to the 77449 area I highly recommend renting a P.O. Box. The $5 to $10 monthly fee is definitely worth all the headache you will undoubtedly experience in dealing with the sticky fingers mail carriers they have employed. This post office is a joke, and a bad one at that. We've had the "pleasure" of being served by them for over a decade. The building itself is NASTY. It is in dire need of repair, including the attitudes of the people that work there. We used to have a really good carrier, but since she left...it is a surprise IF we get our mail and who will be delivering it. It could show up at noon and then the next week it won't be until dark. Sometimes, when we are lucky, our mail actually ends up in our box. Oh, and don't even bother calling. They take the phones off the hook when they arrive. I actually got through ONCE when I was calling to make appointments for our passports. It never rang, just some rude ass woman picked up and said she was trying to make a call, hung up. Drove out to Sealy to take care of the passport issue. There needs to be an entity in which we can complain and actually be taken seriously, and see resolution. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! read more

This is the entity that the Internet is slowly but surely killing off. Letters are becoming a thing of the past thanks to e-mail, and more stores are allowing you to view their stock online and ship to whatever address you desire through them. None the less, this company keeps moving on strong! They have many years of experience doing what they do, and it shows. Never mind that the term "going postal" came from their coworkers, because this staff is always friendly. You know what this business does, so I don't need to speak further about them, their successes, or failures for this matter. Just know that this place has a great staff and great service. Would be great to know that there are different lines for different things before you get to the end of the line when the wait time is 20+ minutes. Even the people in line are unsure, no signs anywhere to dictate which line is for what, multiple people confused about the lines. read more

I also have packages that have said delivered for quite some time now but they are nowhere to be found. If I find out your driver has been taking my mail there will be a serious issue. It's always the same guy that comes to my apartment. It would be cool if he took the packages to the office too and not shove them in my box especially when it says DO NOT BEND. read more

Too bad negative numbers are not available. In addition to losing/non-delivery of packages, we keep having our mail returned to the P.O. Yes. The entire couple of days is returned and we have to go to the Park Row office to pick it up. There are 4 package lockers on our mail box tree. There is always 2 or more available. I kindly asked the carrier to put our mail overage in there and to place the key in our box. "Nope. Those are for packages. Not for mail". "But if they are empty, why not use them and save us the hassle?" I asked. "They are for packages. Not for mail". was his inane reply. I'd rather spend an entire day waiting at the DMV than ever set foot in this post office again. Super long, convoluted story short - this post office not only failed to deliver a care package that my mom sent, they misplaced it and it took two very angry visits from me and my husband to finally locate it. My mom mailed a package from California on December 7th and according to online tracking, it arrived in Katy on the 14th. After bugging the poor ladies who work in the front office of my apartment building for about a week, my husband finally decided to go to the post office on the 20th to look for our package. He was told that they couldn't find our package and the employee asked him to leave a phone number so they could call us when they find it. Fast forward to the 26th, still no phone call. We decided to go back. We were greeted by a long line of unsatisfied, angry customers. One customer even decided to approach the post master and let her know how inefficiently she and her employees were. Mind you, there was originally one employee working behind the counter when we arrived and it took this gentleman speaking up for the post master to put two more employees behind the counter. Once my husband and I finally reached the front of the line the employee tried to pull the whole, "we'll call you when we find your package" nonsense again but my husband stood firm and refused to accept that answer. She said, "I'll check another area for your letter." We emphasized that it's a CERTIFIED PACKAGE, not a letter. Because they assumed that we were expecting a letter, they overlooked our package the first time. We waited for roughly 10 minutes before we noticed that the employee started helping another customer. My husband had to remind her that she was looking for our package first. Once we received our package, my husband asked why we didn't receive a follow up phone call. The employee tried to blame "the holidays" and completely ignored the fact that my husband initially came in four days before any observed holiday. Also noteworthy: as we were waiting, I overheard the post master being very rude and practically yelling at a couple who was trying to figure out their mail situation. This couple was being very polite and patient under the circumstances and did not deserve her attitude. It's such a shame that Yelp doesn't allow zero stars because this facility is undeserving of one star. By far the most unprofessional and inefficient facility I have ever set foot into. read more

This branch is consistently staffed with under qualified customer service reps. I've been lied to as well as over charged on several occasions. Most recently I was refused a receipt when dropping off a pre-labeled package...I get receipts all of the time for labels I print out at home. The reason I ask for this is because they have lost 2 of my dropped off packages previously. There are 2 reps that are nice, the rest should seek employment where there is no human interaction. read more

Horrible customer service. I stood in this long line for several minutes. As soon as i got to the front of the line this lady instructs me to go to blue door. I ring the bell and wait for a few minutes and then return to line. Here comes the same rude lady telling me that i can only be helped at the blue door. Which didn't make sense when i was now next in line again. Thanks to this lady my would be 10 minute trip JUST1 turned into a 30 minute trip. Again the Katy Park Row Post came to delivery a package that required a signature and NEVER rang the door bell. They are too busy to get out of the truck and walk up the drive way to ring the bell, so they partial fill in a receipt to come to their post office and wait in line for an hour to pick up the item. And as usual the receipt is only partially filled in, therefore, I have no idea what it is for. When I go online to see if this item can be re-delivered or has any information available, I receive the same response as always, "no information is available". This is the worst delivery mail service in the world. Was waiting on an important package. The tracker said it was delivered to my neighborhood lock box. Check my regular mail box for the key, guess what..... the mailman never put it in my box. So I couldn't access the lock box . Called multiple times no answers. Went down there and the rude worker told me they would inform the next mail carrier to put a key in my box. Apparently the mail carrier decided not only to not put a key in my box but to decide to return my package back to sender because it was not claimed. Which I couldn't do because they never gave me a key to unlock the lock box. Then when I called today the worker talked to me like I was delusional and didn't know what I was talking about . If I could give this place a -100 stars I would . I pray to go that usps gets replaced by amazon or fedex or someone who can actually do their job . read more

HORRIBLE!!! We have been waiting for 3months to receive a key for out new mailbox. Every time we call they keep telling us "tomorrow". We still don't have it!! I am not someone who writes many negative reviews, but this location needs a complete organizational restructure. No one seems to know what is going on, and no one seems to care. 3 months for a key is ridiculous! This is the worse post office ever. I place my mail on hold and order a rekey on January 15,2021. Today is February 10 and they can not find an order for the rekey. I also have been still getting mail at my old address even after I did the hold mail and changed my address. read more

Not only is this the rudest and most unprofessional BUSINESS I have ever come across ........They apparently have rules that the rest of the post offices in the country are unaware of.Either they are smarter then everyone else or they are so lazy they make it up as they go so they can do less work. I tried to call on three separate occasions to make an appointment for passport application but no one ever picked up my calls.

I paid $50 to get my mailbox re-keyed after moving into a new house on October 12th. It was told me it should take 3-4 weeks which I thought was ridiculous then and now here I am on December 3rd, week 8, and still have no keys. I have been doing 40 minute round trips to the post office on my lunch hours once a week and they really don't give me any hope that their 1 person who does the re-key is anywhere close to finishing my mailbox. read more

I have mailed "6" Certified letters to this Post Office and None of them have been delivered, nor Returned back to me. I have called several times. Let's start off with a "yes, but." Yes, it's convenient to have a USPS with passport services in Katy, BUT they're not the best at honoring appointment times. Not the best place if you're on a time crunch. To give you an idea of my experience: I made a 10am appointment online to do a passport photo, showed up early and waited patiently, but didn't get seen until 10:15 and had to bother someone twice until the passport employee finally came to get me. The employees were nice and the entire process went by quicker after that, but still...I made an appointment, y'all. Respect my time. For anyone coming here for passport photos, it's $15 for 2 copies and you get them right away. read more

Worse post office ever! I needed assistance with a package that was sent back, undeliverable, when I went to the post office to find out why, I had to stand in line for 30 minutes. The rude postal worker wouldn't even try to help me with my problem, I had the tracking number and she said I needed to call the carrier to find out why. I can get over the uncared for building and the lack of staff on hand, however, the staff that is present must hate life because they love to take out their misery on anyone they encounter. I shouldn't have to feel guilty for asking them to retrieve my mail on hold because they took 8 weeks to install a lock on my mailbox. I agree totally with the 2 previous POOR reviews. Scheduled home pickups do not/have not ever been picked up as scheduled. The carrier scans the requests in the AM and then NEVER follows through. I have no reason to mourn the loss of this PO should it happen. My packages are still waiting at my front door from yesterday, as I type this. I recently moved here from Florida, and have experienced major delays, also. When I spoke to a carrier, he told me there was no assigned route in this "Morton Ranch" subdivision. read more

This post office is not that bad - they seem to staff just a little bit short like all USPS facilities but it's kept running well, and the general level of service is usually not dismissive or condescending like how a lot of postal workers can be. Stars off for the postal service not training their employees where they're usually confused or not sure what to do if an anomaly occurs such as when a package I sent kept bouncing back to me or when another package I was due to receive kept being sent back to sender (it went back and forth three times until I basically stalked it's arrival at this facility and had them manually give it to me). Also their phone number is probably just kept off the line as it is always busy regardless of when you call so if you need anything done, you HAVE to visit which defeats the purpose of having a call in number. read more
