First thingid the staff is working super slow and most of the things the staff is relying with the answer "I dont know". Came here to ship a package and it took 25 mins just to get to the front of the line and I asked is it better to put insurance on the package or sign for it. Cleck said put insurance so I did. When my pack was delivered it was left on the front door and nownits stolen. Went back to ask why they leave it on the front door and they said cause you didnt ask them for a signature so they could just leave it. Omg so pissed. read more

This post office does not even deserve one star. My mail is never on time and some days it never even comes at all, do your employees understand their job title? How many packages do they deliver a week? You would think they would know that a package two times larger than a mail box won't fit but they try to shove it in there anyways and then bring it to the door after they have failed and the box is crushed and mangled. I constantly get the wrong mail which explains why I sometimes never get mail I am expecting, like bills and important packages. Get it together over there. Take a little more pride in your job. First off, to the first reviewer - please tell me you were paid to write that review. Second, this is the worst post office I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. I am calling them right now as I type this. Haven't gotten an answer yet. This is my third time calling today. Don't believe me? Call the number, just try it. I have lived here since June '10 and I have yet to reach this location by phone. Amazing, huh? But wait there's more! They take their sweet time delivering the mail and the "mailpersons" dress like thug wannabes. Seriously, no uniform just t-shirts and saggy pants. I don't know if they're delivering the mail or stealing it. It took me forever to start receiving mail consistently so I had to call (to no avail) and drive over there constantly. This is a 1 star review because giving zero isn't an option. The amount of stupidity coming out of this post office is mind boggling. They have lost countless pieces of mail and packages of mine over the past few years but I am at my wits end now! This post is mostly to vent because the odds of them actually doing anything about it are slim to none, since they've never been proactive in trying to help me with other lost items. They lost my MARRIAGE LICENSE!!!! I've been waiting on it to come back from the courthouse and when I paid a visit to the courthouse to make sure they had gotten it, it showed that they had received it and the date it had been sent back out which is almost a month ago. I can pay (which I shouldn't have to, considering I already paid $72 for the original, and I'm not the one who lost it) to have a "replacement" for dmv and social security purposes when it comes to my name change, but it won't be our original with our signatures. Such a sacred piece of paper that we were going to have framed and due to the ignorance and thoughtlessness of this post office and their carriers, we are left empty handed. read more

This is pretty sad when multiple people have the same occuring issues. This facility needs to be investigated because there are employees who have been there for years and they know they can get away with things because nobody does a damn thing about it. Rude and they don't care what happens to your packages. I have filed numerous claims for this location. I wish there was another company to handle my mail because i do not trust employees here. Tampering with mail is a federal offense and employees should be accounted for their actions as well. They need to clean house and bring new management! Tempted to even bring the local new station to do some digging into this. We should be heard! read more

I'm not sure if it does any good to review a post office because you don't really have a choice since you basically will always need to use the post office, but at least there are quite a few other post offices in the area and I would go to any of them over this one, even if I lived next door to it. If you get a PO box here, expect for your mail to always be at least a day late, even when tracking shows delivered. I've asked a couple workers about this and they always blame it on the Houston post office that sorts the mail that goes here. I paid for a larger box and I still get slips where I have to go to the pick up window even though the packages usually would fit in the box. This is frustrating because I work 12 hour days and 9/10 times I'm not gonna make it before 5 to get my mail, and when I do there are at least 10 people always in line trying to get their mail as well. I've also had two packages show they were delivered and in my box and they weren't there and they said they weren't in the building anywhere. Basically told me there was nothing they could do. One of the packages was a $10 amazon item which isn't a huge deal but the other package was worth a few hundred bucks so that sucks. My replacement bank card was also never delivered. I cancelled it before it could ever be used by anyone else but who knows what happened to it. And don't even bother calling because I'm pretty sure the phone is permanently off the hook. read more

This post office service is HORRIBLE!! I just moved to Katy about 3 months ago & it takes 2 weeks or more to receive any mail. Also, whenever I send mail out it will take about 2 weeks for the other party to receive. I'm not sure why they're so slow?? I've been trying to call the number to talk to someone to see what's going on & of course the line has a busy signal. Go figure. Hopefully, things will get better with time & my mail will start being delivered on time. read more

This is by far the worst post office around. I've lived in the area for 4 years and unfortunately have had to deal with this post office a few times. My first experience was back in 2011, just moved here and wanted to get mail keys for my new house. I assumed the closest post office would be the one who could handle that. Wrong. I went in and got called to the counter by a woman who appeared to hate life. She did not greet me or anything, just stared blankly at me like I had two heads. She filled out a piece of paper, told me I'll have to wait and sent me on my way. Two weeks went by and I did not receive a call or receive any mail. I go to the post office again, same exact lady, same exact hating life demeanor. They have no record of my request. She inputs it again and I leave. I immediately call to speak to a supervisor because I'm starting to feel this woman is incompetent and cannot handle my request, I was informed this wasn't even the post office I need to be at! The supervisor seemed to know who exactly who I was talking about, and that's kind of sad. So I went merrily on my way to the other post office where everything was taken care of within one week. A year or two later I began using this post office for my home business. I usually visit about once a week and am presented the same three women each time. The first woman (who I dealt with previously) is still angry at life and constantly rude. The second is a nice older woman with white hair who allowed me to borrow her pen in a pinch and the third I had not had the pleasure to work with. Each time I visit the grumpy lady has something to gripe about, I've tried plenty of times to kill her with kindness but it simply will not work. Out of all the packages I've sent out of this post office I've encountered about 30% of errors. Most recently a package I was sending to my mother somehow got sent to a city 300 miles away? I verified the address label and everything but the barcode that was put on the package stated other information. How does this even happen? The situation took a whole month to get sorted out and I was out the almost $30 it cost to send this package express. My final straw was this woman yelling at me from behind the counter, I had walked through the doors and stood in line for about 5 minutes before she even noticed me. I had brought in my support dog from the car (hot summer day) and the woman told me I needed to take her out. I politely told her no I will keep her with me, she then began to berate me in front of 5-6 customers that my dog was not allowed in the post office. Even though there is a clear sign out front allowing support animals. She did not take the time to allow me to show any identification or anything, she just kicked me out. I had even picked up my dog because of the cramped quarters, she was not a bother to anyone. I refuse to ever use this post office ever again. This woman is truly a disservice to the postal service and needs some customer service and etiquette classes. I now visit the Baker Rd location off of Greenhouse, they are super friendly and more efficient. read more

My rating is for the delivery aspect of this location. I moved here six months ago and several pieces of mail I have expected have never been delivered. And I constantly receive other people's mail. And at least once a week, I come home to my mailbox door hanging wide open (once, all my mail wet because it was raining). I have to agree, drove there Saturday morning to ship a package. Got there about 20 minutes before they were supposed to close. Door was locked, but a lady working behind the counter. All she would do is point at the hours sign and mouth we are closed. I pointed at my watch and she pointed at their clock, which clearly showed about 12 to the hour. read more

Like many people who shop online, for me it's Amazon, not getting packages delivered is a big source of frustration. In the past year, there were 4 times my package was not delivered, twice some good neighbor stopped by and handed the package saying it was accidently delivered to wrong address. The other two times, I did not receive it. Amazon package tracker shows it was delivered but I don't get it. I have one of the subdivision mailboxes where delivery is setup at a central location. I also get other people's mail. I see that this post office uses contractors, not sure if that exacerbates the issue. Not getting your packages four times in 12 months is not a very good rating. read more

They brought my wife to tears. 4 of our packages this year were marked as Delivered at the USPS website but we never got them (that's about 10% of the packages we received this year). Moreover, the reported days of the "successful delivery" of the last 2 missing packages to our FRONT DOOR were Friday and Sunday (!), and both me and my wife were at home on those days, and also, you know, they don't work on Sundays. First time we came to this locations to figure out what happened to our packages they said that we need to call some local number. This is a well-known number, where their phone is always "busy". Read online reviews about this phone number - it seems like they just pick up the phone, and put it aside making their line busy. So we never had success in reaching them. Then my wife came again to this location and said that the phone they provided does not answer. A person at the window told they cannot do anything, and that they were closing for that day, and shut the window in front of my wife's face! We made another attempt to contact the same phone number, and somebody answered (!) and told us to call again next day at 10am because it was already the end of the business day. We called next day, for an hour the signal was busy, then somebody picked up the phone, put us on hold, and then HUNG UP. Next day, my wife came again with the same question and was told that in fact for those few days they hired some lady from another location, and they would make an effort to contact her. The man at the window explained that she might have delivered packages to the wrong address because ALL HOUSE NUMBERS LOOK ALIKE! Did you get that? BECAUSE ALL HOUSE NUMBERS LOOK ALIKE! People, whose only job is to match the numbers on envelope and mail box complain that numbers look alike. Their absolute ignorance and my wife's understanding that she cannot do anything brought her to tears. The service at this location is ridiculous, rude and ignorant. And it seems like USPS customers have NO rights. Ok, we will file complaints, we will file lost package claim, will contact postal inspection service, and if they will not contact us back about that "mysterious lady" we will file a police report - we don't expect much, but at least there will be a public record about mail packages disappearing in 77449 zip code. read more

Needed to contact this local USPS for a question on a USPS priority 3-day package that on day 2 still show no change to its tracking status (pre-shipment). i just needed to ask what the true status was. The lazy jerks answered nicely then immediately put me on hold for 18 min before i hung up. 18 minutes was the time it took for me to get upset, log into Yelp and write this review. I called the office line because the line to schedule a passport appointment wasn't working correctly. I was hoping they could help me either schedule the appointments I needed, or transfer me to the voicemail which would allow me to leave a message and have someone return my call to schedule (this was an option on the automated system but was not working). I spoke with the first representative (Vanessa) who told me just to call the automated system over and over until it worked (I had already wasted 30 minutes doing this to no avail which is why I called the office line). I requested to speak to her supervisor who was speaking in the background. I'd also like to add these employees had me on speakerphone, which I had to request they remove me from as I felt it was unprofessional to broadcast our entire conversation to whoever may be in earshot. The supervisor got on the phone (She would only refer to herself as "Ms. Taylor" which was quite odd) and she basically told me she couldn't help me, that they've scheduled hundreds of appointments in her time there so obviously the automated system worked and that I'd have to keep calling. When I pointed out to her that maybe the system had worked in the past, but clearly wasn't working today, she interrupted me and just repeated herself. I asked if she could just take my name and have someone call me to schedule whenever they were free and she refused. At this point she had become very agitated that I was still trying to find a solution so her tone of voice became very nasty , she raised her voice at me, began asking me questions (such as "What do you want me to do about it?!") and cutting me off when I would respond. I reminded her that she is in a customer service position and she should really be more professional to which she responded that I (the customer) wasn't being a professional by calling her and telling her that her system wasn't working. (Not sure she understood what professionalism means as I'm not the one who's providing a service to her, I'm the customer. Not to mention I wasn't the one cutting her off, raising my voice or giving her an attitude). After that point she puts me back on speakerphone, and when I request she take me off speakerphone as its not professional, she said she can do whatever she wants. I then told her that I would be writing a review which would detail the conversation we just had and my disappointment at their customer service she told me I better stop "threatening her". Sadly, I know no disciplinary action will occur because it's the US Post Office. Obviously the employees know it as well which is why they act the way they do. It is clear that whoever is in charge of this branch has extremely low expectations of their employees. read more

I have not been inside this post office until today. There was quite a line. I've been to post offices in Houston with lines the same length and only one postal worker. There were 3 behind the counter and one who was going down the line to answer questions and be sure we had our forms filled out before we got to the counter. All the workers were efficient, friendly and polite. Yes there was a long wait. One customer had about a five foot long receipt when she left. Post office workers have to help each customer with all their packages and questions no matter how many they have. I think they did a good job here. read more

I called to ask questions about applying for a passport. The lady was extremely rude and was too busy to answer my questions, speaking so fast that I couldn't write anything down. When I reminded her that I'm a customer she said she didn't need any sarcasm and hung up on me. I'm in the customer service industry and would never speak to someone like that. If you're too busy I get it, call me back, or ask if I can wait a little bit, there's plenty of ways to help people out when you want to. read more

I was there a couple times when there was a line, but usually there is no line and the people are always very nice and friendly. The building is old, but that's not their fault. On Sept 1, 2018, I sent this email via the USPS website: "This morning, I went to the Katy post office on Park Row to pick up a package. The 'Quick Service Window' (as it's labeled) hours on Saturday are scheduled for 9am-noon. The window did not open until 10am! I arrived shortly before 10am and heard people loudly complaining and even cursing in front of children that they've been in line since 9 am! I finally got my package shortly after 11am after waiting a full hour! During this last week, I waited 45 minutes - twice - to pick up a letter. The post office makes it mandatory to wait in this 'quick' line out in the lobby if picking up anything (packages, letters, hold mail, postal keys, etc). There were numerous people there with visible physical limitations having to wait. One elderly man with a bandaged leg finally had to leave without being served. I have two herniated disks which make it painful for me to stand very long. There's no seating available in the lobby to offer relief. I wonder how other post offices nearby compare. I don't think this would be tolerated in the wealthy areas such as Cinco Ranch. Our community is very apparently being neglected. Please provide the resources that this post office may need if it is not being provided for adequately and equally as other post offices. Please remedy whatever issue is at hand to provide relief for the employees and customers. Please address this rapidly as the holidays are approaching and this problem will only escalate if left unattended. Thank you." Today, Sept 6, 2018, I received this response: "Thank you for contacting the USPS. First of all let me apologize for the inconvenience you suffered while in our facility. I will discuss this matter with our management team for sure. Very shortly, we will also be increasing our clerk workforce to be able to cope up with the increasing demand for our services. This post office is a joke. The cluster mailbox on my street toppled over. We were without a mailbox for 2 week. During this time we had to go to the post office to pick up our mail. When the new cluster mailbox was installed, no information was given how to get new keys. When I tried to call the post office no one answered the phone....ever. I have lived in several cities across multiple states through the years, and this post office is one of these worst that I have ever been too. When you're sending mail, the shipping clerks are very unfriendly, slow, and all look absolutely miserable. When you're picking up a package, you have to deal with an extremely unprofessional pickup clerk. I have had multiple packages gone missing, mysteriously, after this post office has received them. When attempting to investigate the matter, the clerks AND delivery personnel will lie to your face, and to you on the phone, in order to avoid taking any sort of responsibility for what they have done. In fact, very recently, I attempted to work with the post office in order to investigate a missing package. I filed a claim, and went in to investigate the matter. The pickup clerk was rude, and lied to my face. The delivery man gave an entirely different account of events. I finally reached a customer service agent on the phone, from one of the national centers, when I was told that I would receive a call from this local post office within a few business days. Shortly after that phone conversation, I received a call from a blocked number claiming to be a supervisor from this post office. He said that he would investigate the matter, and quickly hung up the phone. Two weeks had passed, and then I received indication that the inquiry had been closed for unspecified reasons. Is this a joke? This post office is staffed with lazy, miserable women, and apparently liars and criminals. And I believe at least two employees are involved with several hundred dollars worth of Christmas presents having mysteriously vanished. I am filing a written, fully documented claim to both the local law enforcement authorities as well as the national post office customer service and legal departments. read more

They've never been reliable, but what few improvements they've supposedly made over the past several years do not make up for their lack of package delivery reliability. I sent a package to Puerto Rico with it expected to arrive in three days, and a clerical error had it arriving back on my doorstep the very next day. Two weeks before, I sent a package to Georgia, with it arriving only to be sent, again for no reason, to Tennessee. The package had nothing on it saying anything about Tennessee. It arrived two days later than it should have, and it arrived torn up, with the contents (thankfully nothing more damageable than clothing) completely exposed. The customer service also lacks, with staff barely mustering up the energy to roll their eyes at you. They also don't make up for delays or missing packages with no tracking. They're pretty awful, and don't seem intent on improving much beyond how well they can take you for a sucker. read more
