The other reviews must be outdated. I've had nothing but pleasant, friendly and efficient service at the Jaffrey PO, despite being an "outsider" and not knowing anyone in Jaffrey personally. Parking is convenient, with same level access, which makes things easier if you're shipping a load of parcels. The workers are exceptionally polite and helpful, as is the Post Master. Of the several post offices I've been to in the Monadnock area, this one is by far the best. read more

This Jaffrey, N.H. post office has the nicest window clerks. They are friendly, polite, professional and helpful to a stroke victim like myself. I can ask them to help me get a large parcel from my car and answer all of my questions and concerns regarding the mailing of my mail to its destination. We've lived in this town for nearly 6 years. However there are "those" people in Jaffrey who will not give you the time of day unless you, your parents, & your grandparents are Jaffrey natives. It doesn't matter if you're a good person, an upstanding citizen, a community volunteer, pay your taxes, don't engage in illegal activity, add to the betterment of the community, & regularly shop the local businesses in town. Unfortunately a lot of "these" people who look down on "newbies" like me work at the post office. I, on the other hand, am one of "those" people who will smile politely & be friendly even when someone is being rude to me. I will say "Have a nice day" even when I am the customer & it is their job to say that to me & I know all I'll receive in return is a grunt, if that. I will say "thank you" even when I am the customer & it is there job to say "thank you" to me. The men who work here, including the Post Master, are never friendly, ever, rarely polite, & sometimes borderline rude (yes, it's only the men, they recently hired a woman & she is a ray of sunshine & no that is not sarcasm). And yes, it's only to "newbies" like me. I've come in before when one of them is chatting away with a customer like they're best buds, catching up on who caught what the last time they went fishing, etc, then they barely give me a "grunt" of acknowledgment, then another Townie comes in & they turn back on the personality with them. What. The. Fudge. My money is as good as anyone else's. I am ALWAYS nice to them & I NEVER get that in return, the most I get is borderline politeness & that is rare. I will ONLY come here when I absolutely have to get a package out. Otherwise I will wait till Saturday & send my husband. He's better at dealing with jerks than me. ;) read more

The people at the Jaffrey Post Office are always friendly and helpful. The nice man who delivers my mail is also very friendly. I have only had positive encounters with anyone from the Jaffrey Post Office. read more

I use the Jaffrey post office whenever I can. The people working there come to the window immediately, are very helpful, polite, professional, and efficient. They also provide tape if needed and have a clean environment. I think this is the best post office in the area and some other towns should take it as a model, for both organization and service. read more
