This is a great post office because of the hours and the ease of shipping things out of here. All of the mail in Jacksonville and the surrounding areas will eventually end up at this main location. The customer service is OK. The staff is definitely not as friendly as my regular post office, but not a deal breaker. Overall, if you need to make sure your package needs to go out that same day and you didn't make it to your local branch--this is the place to take it. It's easy access off of the freeway, easy on and plenty of parking for their customers which makes this place awesome. Note: There's only a small mailbox accessible inside after hours so if you need to ship or just drop off a larger package you will have to come back another time as they don't have the large drop box available at this location for some reason.

You know, I used to hate going to this post office. You wouldn't Emily wait in line for a very long time and it never seemed to be a reason for it. This time when I went in there was maybe six people in line but the line moved quite quickly. Back up a little bit though, I came here to do a passport renewal. I originally went to the courthouse because they have a big sign in the courthouse that says you can do your passport application there so that's what I did. So then I filled out the application and brought it to the courthouse only to find out that they don't do renewals there. The nice guy at the courthouse pointed me off to the post office so I hopped in my car and tools over to this post office went in and pulled my ticket for the passport room only to find out that they don't do adult passport renewals there either. Fortunately I had already filled out my forms so I paid the $6.45 to mail it priority mail myself. Keep in mind that they are very picky about your passport photographs. So the last time I went to get my passport at the main post office which was about 15 years ago it was a huge line and I was there for probably three or four hours, this time there only appeared two be two people waiting ahead of me. I can't comment on the speed of the employees but the people didn't seem too agitated so they must not have been waiting as long as I waited last time I went there. Surprisingly this post office does not have one of those self-service computer kiosks where you can just put your package on the scale and pay with your debit card for the sticker of postage which is kind of unfortunate so essentially everyone is forced to wait in line. That's the only complaint I have about this particular location, the parking lot was a lot more clean than it has ever been in the past and it looks like they're really coming around.

This is generally considered the main post office in Jacksonville. It has the best hours (open 7 days a week) and is very clean and well maintained. Besides the regular postal services and PO boxes, they also offer a small store and a passport office.

The location is dirty. The inside and outside both need a good cleaning. The employees don't want to be bothered -- to be polite to customers or answer the phone. I've had several carriers tell me that if they have a problem on their route, they need to have the cell phone number of someone in the building because they don't answer the phone. Nine times out of ten this is accurate. On more than one occasion I've had mail not delivered to my box, but scanned as delivered. I've watched carriers put mail in my box, but not leave packages where were scanned as delivered. When in inquired, I'd receive a geotag pic that it was scanned in my front yard. One more than on occasion we've gone out to get the mail and seen the carrier walking away, but the scanned package was not left on the porch near or in our mailbox. The worst was just before Christmas last year. I'd put our regular carrier's Christmas card which contained a gift card in the box with 2 small outgoing packages. They were polymailers. The sub that day took a card, not addressed to them but left the packages. I talked to my regular carrier the next day & was told "I'll never see that". I'm not receiving all of my mail and know for a FACT employees are stealing from other employees. The attitude from the local people you get in the phone is like how dare I bother them. They tell you to call JSO, but JSO doesn't have authority over them. The USPS has their own police force and you are supposed to get help from them. If your mail is delivered from this facility, I'm sorry. I've never encountered anything that has "service" this poor. A complete overhaul of management and staff is necessary.

I've filed complaints but when I got a call back from this same, Unsympathetic, self entitled, condescending excuse for a customer service agent! There's not a chance that I'd EVER hire her nor will I be forced to tolerate her childish stupidity and extremely unprofessional behavior any longer. The interior is a bit outdated and could use some updating, but overall, it's a reliable location. People may not know this, but if you have a label on your package ready to go you can use the self-serve scanner before you get inside to the line. I acknowledge that I arrived minutes late for the first one, but I arrived on time for my second appointment. Despite this, the employee refused to assist us and would not honor the service associated with our second appointment. When I tried to explain the situation, she was extremely rude and repeatedly told me not to "talk back" or "argue" with her, when I was simply trying to explain that I had arrived on time for my second scheduled appointment. I was never disrespectful toward her. The situation was especially upsetting because we were accompanied by children who needed passport services. I found the way we were treated completely unnecessary, unprofessional, and disrespectful toward me, my family, and especially the children. I ultimately decided to leave the office. It is unfortunate because my previous experience at this same location had been very positive. After this experience, I would definitely recommend using another office for passport services. I do not believe it is acceptable to refuse service to someone who has a scheduled appointment and arrived on time for it, especially when they are simply trying to clarify the situation respectfully.
