Whatever Distribution Center exists in Jacksonville needs to be shut down immediately. I'd say even compensation offered to those who have worse experiences with their packages there than I do. Every single time that I get an order and it goes to a Jacksonville Distribution Center it not only delays my arrival time, but it also makes the tracking inaccurate, and then they have the nerve to send it back out of state or to a distribution center even farther south. Can't tell me that's not a waste tax dollars, fuel, and other environmental shit not only that but it fucks me over. I see you have other issues with this for years too. Currently from out of town and sent money to my new apartment complex in order to move in. I've sent money once and the first payment was received. The second payment was sent as a priority letter and scanned as insufficient address once it reached to this postal location. The last notification online was at 5:49pm 10/21/2025. The problem is the address is in fact sufficient because it isn't going to a tenants apartment because I haven't moved in yet. The letter is going to the rental office and the apartment complex name is also addressed on the envelope. This letter was shipped on 10/14/2025 at 3:25pm. It is 10/22/2025 and I decided to visit this postal location to see if my letter has already been returned even though it shouldn't have. A young lady with a pink and black postal shirt said she will have to call me back to locate my letter because she is unable to find it at this time. She said it could be buried in many other Return to Sender letters even though my letter was just scanned yesterday. This is unacceptable on the carriers part and I hope my situation can be resolved today so I can move into my new place. Update: 10/22/2025 at 12:30pm The carrier informed me that they are new and didn't realize the letter was meant to be delivered to the rental office. This has been the most traumatic experience and to have to console another customer because she had her personal items delivered to her Overnight and the office can't find any other her items is terrible. I hate that I moved to this area and come to a realization that this is going to be my local post office until I move again. Either this staff is retrained or replaced. As much as someone can dread the post office, I absolutely love this location! I have always been able to get in and get out even if there is a long line. I live in Yankeetown, FL. Jacksonville is our regional PO. I have Informed delivery. For several weeks now, I have been randomly receiving several days mail all lumped together. They have been processing a package of mine from three days now. Some of my mail was time sensitive from the SSA. When I notified my local post office of the ongoing problem, they informed me Jacksonville has NOT been bringing Yankeetown's mail everyday and have no explanation why. This is not the case for our sister town Inglis. Stay away from this place if you can. read more

You have to say a prayer to hope your mail gets to where it's going and another prayer you get what you are waiting for, and still your prayers may not be answered. I'm just going to be blunt. The left hand has no idea what the right hand it doing at this distribution center, and they are inconsistent and biased regarding the rules they choose to enforce. Our business relocated to a business park and for a few weeks everything was great: our USPS person was bringing our mail inside to our reception desk (as they do for every business in our park). Then without warning our mail and mail person mysteriously disappeared. After REPEATED visits to this distribution center to find out where 3+ weeks of mail had got to, with no one being able to locate it, someone finally told us that all businesses in our business park should be getting their mail delivered to a mailbox and not hand delivered to their reception. A mailbox that no other business, landlord or apparently USPS delivery person previously knew existed. We were told there was no way around it, hand delivery was not an option, and therefore we jumped through the appropriate hoops and paid to get keys for the mailbox (as neither our landlord nor previous tenants had ever had to use the mailbox). However, while we now walk to the mailbox to collect our mail, we suffer the frustration of seeing businesses next door to us continue to get preferential treatment and have their mail hand delivered to their reception desk. Contrary to the claimed process that we have no choice but to follow. Ah well it could be worse, it's not as if the USPS have a monopoly on the mail... read more

Just wanted to post the arrogance of USPS. My sons cousin in Los Angeles upgraded his phone and shipped his S7 to my son. Sure enough in came the mail and ^%$#@ post office had the guts to deliver "AN EMPTY BOX" Yes, my home mailbox is a locked box.....it was not touched in neighborhood. I took the box to the post office and the post master giggled and said.....oh it wasn't packaged properly.....excuse me....ur looking at a box that was ripped open. Also if the counter person accepted the package they accept the contract to deliver it. Or reject it. ...we didn't even get a free stamp. This place needs to be cleaned, painted, and some basic lawn care. Spider webs everywhere in side. It smells moldy. No wonder the staff are so mad they work in a such a mess. They don't even have a decent closed sign it's made out of cardboard. Do better by your employees. So sad. read more

This is a distribution center and is not a true, full-blown post office (for the lack of a better term). It is literally a place to drop off packages...and pick up if you live within this area. I use "Click-n-Ship" a lot, so I think this place is pretty nice to have nearby as an option. Likewise, if I need to return something using the post office...I drop it off here. Don't expect to buy stamps here or ship packages that are not pre-paid...it's not that type of a post office. I have gotten aggravated with the posted hours being incorrect and wondered why no one was there. And/or waiting for what is probably only a few minutes, but seemed like an eternity due to being such a small closed in space and no place to sit or whatever. But they only have a few employees that work in there and they have many running parts going at the same time. No matter what...the employees have always been very friendly. I think it's convenient and I seem to shave off a day or two by taking a package here to be shipped instead of the regular post office since it is a distribution center...which is a pretty cool thing. In short...it's easy to find, there is plenty of parking, it's easy to get in and out of...and it really is painless to drop off (even on those rare occasions where you need to wait a few extra minutes). read more

Do not waste your time. This should be zero stars. Got to the window. No one was there. Sign said to the ring the buzzer. I did. Three times. I could hear people, but no one ever came to the window. I called the store number and a woman answered saying they don't take packages that weren't pre-paid for online. Now I have to drive 20 minutes away. read more

I really just don't understand why every time we are suppose to receive a package to our mailbox there is always an issue no matter who is the sender is. Most recently we are being told our Amazon package that normally comes to our front door was delivered to our mailbox and SURPRISE SURPRISE nothing was there. We spoke to a customer service rep for USPS the night the package was "delivered" and advised that we need to contact the distribution center when they are open as they handle our mail and would be able to explain why they have our package marked as delivered as well as why they forwarded to a different address even though we never put in a request to have our mail forwarded or held, considering we received Amazon packages and mail the same day. The USPS rep entered a Service Request for us and advised it would be up to three days for us to get a reply. She also provided us with the contact number for the center and told us that they are open from 9am-12pm today and we could call to get answers. We called and the line just rang and rang and we were unable to reach a live person. read more
