Thanks much for finding a solution that helped me get some vintage Duke Ellington albums...among other things...home! Incredibly patient and pleasant person and professional.

The extremely rude and full of herself employee took that upon herself and then put it in the system as if I personally requested that my mail be held! Isn't that tampering with Federal Mail?! Especially considering her complete LACK OF ANY Positive CUSTOMER Service and incapable of giving even sorta good customer service! I've filed complaints but when I got a call back from this same, Unsympathetic, self entitled, condescending excuse for a customer service agent! There's not a chance that I'd EVER hire her nor will I be forced to tolerate her childish stupidity and extremely unprofessional behavior any longer. If my electricity gets cut off and or myself and my kiddies have to go without... it's on HER for holding a package and other mail without consent although that's her lie to explain as to why she lied and led everyone to believe I personally put my mail on hold! Every USPS delivery person delivers except for ONE ASSHOLE! Who deservingly, probably did get attacked by another dog that no longer resides here and not my dog at all! Automated system says all taken care of but I need to make sure bc I still don't have my package from my father and the fact that my power bill is late is directly related to the 1 asshole who's so terrified of just about everything I'm surprised he's allowed in public at all! I'll be searching for the laws regarding tampering with mail as a federal offense and if this scenario is considered tampering or fraud or something of criminal nature, I want to and all press charges to the fullest extent of the law!!!

I was tickled pink finding this post office…read more Why? Because they were open until 6 PM on a Saturday. Seriously when have you ever heard of such a thing? To me it's the equivalent of a Christmas miracle! That being said, I had several envelopes with gifts to mail out. It was now or never because I'm the queen of procrastination. Anyway, Michelle attended me and she was great. She was polite, efficient, and even wished me a happy Mother's Day with a warm smile. I don't have anything negative to say about my experience at this location. It is huge, offers extended hours, and you had several employees. What's not to love? Well, the fact that we don't have a post office like this in Tallahassee. Woe is me. Tear.

I'm Chinese, and the moment I stepped up to the counter, the woman working didn't greet me, didn't even look me in the eye--she just grabbed my mail and tossed it across the counter like it didn't matter. When I asked a basic question, she muttered something under her breath that felt targeted. I couldn't catch all of it, but the tone was off, and I walked away feeling like I was being disrespected because of how I look. What really got to me is how she treated the customer before me totally normal--friendly, no attitude. I honestly left there feeling humiliated and angry. It felt personal. And this wasn't just "bad service"--it felt like discrimination. I don't want this to happen to anyone else. Someone needs to speak to her, or at least look into what's going on at this location. Thank you.

The Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics maintains records of residents' births, deaths, marriages,…read moreand divorces. People may obtain certificates of birth, death, marriage, and divorce by walking into the office and handing over a printed form from Florida Health's website, mailing the printed form from the website, or submitting an online form through the VitalChek company. I have been a customer of the Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics at least twice. First, almost 20 years ago, I needed to obtain a copy of a family member's death certificate so I could obtain an inheritance. This office promptly processed my request and mailed me a copy of the death certificate. Second, recently I requested another death certificate for genealogical research. I wanted to confirm the family member's date of birth, birthplace, parents' names, and cemetery. On VitalChek's website, I spent a few minutes filling out a form to request the death certificate from Florida. The total cost was $22 for one copy. The next day (fast!), the Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics mailed my family member's death certificate to me. Four days later, the U.S. Postal Service delivered the envelope to my home. The certificate did not contain my family member's wife's maiden name or mother's maiden name, but it did contain other information that will help me to build my family tree. I rate the Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics as 5 stars because, compared to many other states' bureaus of vital statistics, this one has reasonable fees and quick processing times.

There is public parking available along the street (metered by the COJ) as well as in the rear parking lot (more expensive private parking here.) Security is tight at the main entrance so be prepared to lose the belt and all of your accessories so they can scan you through. It reminds me of an airport, as you have to put all your bags and belongings into a bin for X Ray. The guards and homeland security are very nice but they take their job seriously and I appreciate that. Currently, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the building is mostly closed to the public unless you have a special appointment. They generally aren't letting anyone in right now unless you work in the building and have a badge. Snack machines and a mail drop/ATM are located on the ground floor. Restrooms are available there as well. I'm glad to work in a clean and secure building like this and the best part is that it's located right in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.

You must have ID to enter the bldg. you also need to be prepared to remove ear rings, everything in your pockets, to take your shoes off to be scanned as well as your purse. You must now have to have an appointment with IRS to enter the building now. IRS is not the only dept. in the building. There are multiple Gov't Agencies in the Federal Building. They have a restaurant on the first floor to get a bite to eat, breakfast or lunch. They also have the Federal Credit Union in the ground floor as well. The building is well maintained. The service people do a great job and the cleaning staff do a wonderful job as well. The only tip I might have is: I think they should update the handicapped ramp. If you are facing the building, it's on the right side. No visitor can enter the building before 8am.
