I heard the mail truck so my son and I ran out to meet her but sadly it wasn't on her truck. It was late and she had only one more stop. Don't deserve one star. We had a passport appointment for our family of five, and the experience at the Forward Post Office was incredibly disappointing. Getting two parents and multiple children together with all of the required documents, copies, photos, and signatures is not easy. We arrived on time for our scheduled appointment, fully prepared, expecting that our reserved time would be honored. Instead, the staff chose to prioritize the walk-in mail line over customers who had passport appointments. We waited for more than an hour, only to be told they would not be able to help us and that we should drive another 20 minutes to the League City Annex. This showed a complete lack of respect for our time. If appointments are accepted, they should mean something. We did everything we were supposed to do, yet our family--and two other families with appointments--were left waiting while customers buying stamps and mailing packages were served instead. What makes this even more frustrating is that the posted sign indicates P.O. Box mail is available by 10:00 a.m., suggesting there was an established process for handling mail. It appears the decision was simply made to prioritize mail services over scheduled passport appointments. After reading the reviews for this location, it's disturbing to see that many others have reported the exact same issue. This doesn't seem like an isolated incident but an ongoing pattern. If this office cannot reliably honor passport appointments, it should reconsider offering the service rather than repeatedly wasting families' time. Plenty of parking space even for larger vehicles. I only needed some information and stamps. If you rent a PO box, no Reminders are not sent on renewals. Best option is going online for automatic renewal or in person renew for two years. Otherwise, you may insure late fee. read more

Alright, I normally don't do this but it HAS to be done. On Monday, Nov. 10 around 12:15 pm, my mom and I wanted to return an item from an online order. Being that we very rarely mail out packages and this was a small item, we wanted to ask about the most economical method to ship it out. An Asian lady comes from the back room and calls out to help the next customer. Already you can see her facial expression was unhappy -- somehow I knew this was going to be a bad interaction. I showed her the small item, said we wanted to return this, and asked what would be the cheapest way to mail it out -- no rush shipping necessary. Immediately she is in a foul mood, copping an attitude, claiming she can't tell us until she enters it into the system. Really? I'm not asking for an exact cost to the penny. Just a general idea of which shipping method would be best for this situation, and maybe even a ballpark figure would help. I also understand there may be a weight limit to certain shipping methods, so I disclose that it only weighs a quarter of a lb, thinking that narrows down the options. She snaps back, exasperatingly saying she's not sure until she enters it into her computer. Ok, fine. Let's get it in the system. I start to put the item in a generic box we brought along and fill out the address, until she rudely added that if we didn't have tape, she pointed to the back and said we would need to buy. Wow. The whole room is silent, so everyone can hear the conversation. If the needlessly contentious attitude wasn't obvious before, it was clear as day by then. Still, I knew what was going on and but didn't feel the need to make a scene. I realized we forgot to bring the tape, and since we were running another errand and would pass by our home anyway, we decided to just swing by the house again to grab the supply, and go to another USPS near our next destination. As we walked out, my mom said she had an attitude problem. The tone was absolutely rude the entire time. Look, it's a simple question. You're telling me, as someone who works at the USPS, you have no idea which method would cost the least for a three-inch item weighing a quarter of a lb? I don't know what got into her. Did something happen in the backroom? Everyone has a bad day, but no need to take it out on your customers. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and uncalled for. There were two other ladies in front working at the same time. The room was quiet as everyone, including the other customers, could sense the tension in the air. If Management doubts my experience, you can ask colleagues about what transpired, as well as review the security footage to corroborate. I hope she is reprimanded for her behavior. I should also add that the lady at the other post office was extremely kind and helpful, and voluntarily taped up our package for us, even when we were holding our own supply. read more

Recently, on May 24, I had a very strange encounter with a postal worker who delivers mail to the Autumn Creek neighborhood. At around 4:50 PM, I was driving home from work. About one block away from my home, I drove by a mail delivery vehicle on my right, which was parked in front of a community mailbox. Because there was a line of cars parked on the left side of the road, I was forced to drive closely between the cars on the left and the parked mail delivery truck on the right. Almost immediately after passing through, the postal worker started following me very closely in his vehicle, all the way into the cul-de-sac I live in. He quickly turned around and parked in front of my house as I got out of my car. At this point, I was very confused, but I didn't know what else to think other than to assume he was there to deliver a package to my home. "GOING TO DRIVE THAT CLOSE TO ME, HUH?!" he yelled angrily, with his head sticking out of his vehicle. He was behaving very aggressively towards me and was obviously trying to intimidate me. For a moment, I almost thought he was going to get out of his truck and try to fight me. I was completely flabbergasted by the whole thing. Yes, I obviously drove closely to his parked vehicle because I had no other choice. Anyone who lives in this neighborhood knows how tight these streets can get when cars are parked alongside the curb. The streets are already narrow enough on their own but are often made even more narrow because of the many cars parked on both sides. How ludicrous to expect me to somehow drive through this situation without being at least somewhat near any of the parked vehicles. I've encountered some pretty rude postal workers since moving to this neighborhood 10 years ago, but this took it to a whole new level. To say this was inappropriate and unprofessional behavior would be an incredible understatement. This guy is clearly unhinged and mentally unstable. He absolutely should NOT be handling anyone's mail. My main concern over this interaction is that he very well may continue to be responsible for my mail. He obviously knows my home address and will easily recall who I am when delivering my mail. In fact, I believe that is partly why he chose to follow me home. The postal workers in this area are already notorious for losing my mail by "accident"; I wouldn't put it past this unhinged, irrational individual to deliberately tamper with my mail in some way under the assumption that he can get away with it. Yes, I realize that's a serious crime, but irrational people do irrational things. I'm going to scrutinizing my mail delivery very closely from now on and already have USPS' complaint line on hand, but I am nonetheless very concerned about this. This post office and its miserable employees continue to provide the residents of this community with some of the worst mail delivery service I've ever experienced in my life. This is the worst looking, worst customer service of any Post Office that I have ever used. Plus, it smells like wet dog inside the building. They have lost, misplaced, delivered my packages to the wrong address, many times over the course of 20 years. Recently, one of the Temp carriers just past right by my mailbox without stopping. I caught this on my security camera, so, I chased him down because I knew that he would more than likely have a package because the tracking said Out for Delivery. And guess what, he did. And yes, he had one of few postal vehicles around here that actually has an AC. Even though he would not admit, it was obvious that he was too lazy to stop the truck, get out of his air condition Van, and do his JOB by carrying the package to my Front Door! Because the package would not fit in my mailbox this employee of the month and excuse of a person, decided to just drive by because he figured that no one would notice.. . Well, I did, and there you go, this is what to expect from this place where the service is at its worst. Friendswood need to take notes from Clear Lake and other PO's and clean up their act in more was than one. And it does not use to file a complaint, because they cover each other. The Friendswood Postal has terrible delivery. On January 9, 2021 we just received, not one, but two letters from the IRS dated 11/23/20. It was for a bill for many thousands of dollars due on 12/14/20. So the due date is about a month before we even received the notice it was due. And there was one letter to me and one to my wife. Do you think the IRS will believe this story? I wouldn't if I were them. Multiple heads should roll at the Post Office. But nothing will happen. They don't care about how lousy a job they do. They are government employees and basically can't be fired no matter how bad a job they do. We also thought we had several lost packages before this. I always have packages late, missing, or delivered incorrectly whenever my normal carrier is on vacation or for Amazon deliveries on weekends. This is literally the worst branch I've ever had to work with and I traveled the country with the army and have been around. This post office is a joke I ordered something I checked the status and it states it was delivered checked outside and in my mailbox no package. We have a house on the street behind us with the same house number. This has to be the worst post office in the country!!!!!. Due to the highest location pay (NASA) postal employees try to end their service in the Houston area before retirement, particular in the Clear Lake/Friendswood area. For the last few years the Postmaster in Friendswood fit this and it is evident the don't care about anything except retire with the highest pay possible. Service has gone down the drain!! I had an appointment had to wait a long ass time in line then was redirected to a sketchy wooden door that said to ring bell for assistance. There was no bell. Every time I go to our post office , I see the same friendly faces. So they smile always ? No and neither do I when you deal with the public BUT they are incredibly courteous . Never ride or condescending. The line usually moves fairly rapidly as they do call for back up. I recently encountered a delivery issue and went to speak to our post master to problem solve. She was very considerate and offered several Suggestions as well as followed up with me. So happy we have our little post office ! read more

Whoever runs this place should be replaced with someone competent. I run a business where I have to use the carrier pickup option because 1. I can not wait in their long lines with 10 or so packages and 2. They closed their drop box so no one can just come in and put their packages in it, instead, I have to go inside into a very tight space and put them on the counter, hoping that it wouldn't be filled with other packages. The WORST problem for me is when my postal person is having a bad day or just doesn't give a crap and will NOT come to my door and pick up packages for that day. Why the hell this person does not give a darn about their job is so beyond me. I ship out every day and over the past year, my packages have not been picked up over 20 times. I have seen some of the negative reviews for this location (Friendswood Tx). Yet I have not had any issues at all with the facility, but quite the opposite. I have been in the community for four years and each time I have gone to this location the staff have been very friendly and helpful. She knows what true customer service is (unlike Kim Bui). The USPS gets a bad rep for encounters with people like Kim. Madeline Lauderdale I live in the Gardens Apts on 528 I have been trying for such a long time to talk to someone at the post Office about putting newspaper ads from everywhere , Groceries, Furniture , you name it goes in my mail box and I'm tired of my box being so full of this crap there is not room for legal and legitimate mail with address and stamp. It was verified on KHOU news that it is not legal to put this kind of flyers and unaddressed or stamped nail in your mailbox . I have a notice taped inside my mailbox and it has been there for well over a year. i am asking that newspaper ads and flyers not addressed or stamped not be placed in my mailbox. They either don"t or can't read or they choose to ignore it and continue to put them in my box. Very unpleasant experience when dealing with deliveries. I was expecting a package to be delivered at the door, only to find out that it was just handed off to a completely different person and house without any question. I just don't understand why the delivery people are so incompetent that they can't even double check an address or ask for some identification. Also, not only was the package expensive, but this has happened more than once. What is the point of doing passports by appointment only if you aren't going to honor them?? I had an appointment for 12:15 and showed up at 12:10. Waited 20 min at the window rang the bell multiple times before finally someone showed up to give me the application to fill out. Then after 5 min I filled it out and rang the bell again. Took another 20 min and multiple bell rings then finally someone showed up to the window and had the nerve to ask me if I had an appt. YES I DID 45 MINUTES AGO. I was sent a certified letter in which the carrier signed for it and placed in my mail box. I have had many missing mail requiring me to get certified letters. But now the carrier is signing them for me. Forgery at its finest. We were home. Got email from Best Buy saying my $250.00 item had been successfully shipped to my post office box. Same day I look on the dashboard section of the US Post Office's own website and it tells me that the same package had been delivered to my PO Box. Because of my busy work schedule, I'm not able to pick the package up until 2 days later. When I make it to the post office it's no big surprise that there is no package in my box. Time to stand in line again. After waiting 15 minutes in line I finally get to ask the person behind the desk if they happen to have a package in the back for me because both Best Buy and the US Post office have sent me notifications to inform me that the package has been delivered to my box. Employee asks for the tracking number and then goes in the back for 10-15 minutes. The employee then tells me that their system shows that a label was made for the package, but it was never shipped. "Why does the US Post Office's own website say that it was successfully delivered to my box two days ago?" Their response, "Uggghhhhh, I don't know. You'll have to contact the company that shipped it." Basically my package was put in someone else's box, which sure as hell isn't the first time that has happened or the package was stolen by one of the employees. Luckily Best Buy agreed to send me the item again, which means they unfairly had to take a $250 hit because this particular post office is completely worthless. Wish I had enough time to tell of all of the other times they've screwed things up for me or forced me to waste valuable time waiting in line, but I don't. I was unsatisfied with the customer service here. One of the workers repeatedly denied that my package was available for pick up in a rude way when I clearly was told earlier on the phone by some other worker that it was available. I came to this location twice for the same reason, and he kept telling me that it has gotten lost, and that there isn't anything that can be done about it. I finally talked to another worker, and she helped me get my package. It was just really frustrating because that package was urgent for me. This USPS location is a shining example of why the USPS has out lived its usefulness, very typical US Gov. service. They are more then happy to offer services w/o any real desire to deliver said service. Bought 2 day service for priority mail, was told it would be delivered in stated time, actually delivered in 6 days. Paid $12 for less then .35 service, shame on me. You want Gov. run Healthcare? Or anything else? Do business with USPS and that should answer any questions you have as to why NOT! Usually, we take the time to write negative experience and I thought I had to write as I had a very good experience at this location today. I made an appt online for 11 am to renew my passport with a name change. I had all my documents in hand and filled out the application before hand. I probably had to be in line for 10 mins or so, however, I was in an out in 15 minutes. A gentleman named Richard helped me with the process and he was very helpful. Nonetheless, the line was getting longer and I feel they could use more help behind the counter. read more
