I recently tried to call 3 times and every time the busy sound came on and they hung up on me.

Sent a letter express priority with delivery in 2 days (money back guaranteed), from Fresno to Coalinga which is an hour away. They sent it to Los Angeles, causing it to be a day late and did not even obtain a signature. I went in to get a refund and was told come back Monday because the person that authorizes refunds isn't in until then. WTF ? Fedex or UPS from now on, just like any other government entity they manage to find a way to screw it up. read more

Several isolated incidents have occurred lately with the post office in general. I'll just go over the two most recent happenings. 1. Personal. One day I could unlock my mailbox, the next day I couldn't. I left a note for the carrier, explaining, because it is impossible to reach anyone on the phone at this location. The carrier responded to the note, writing that I needed to contact the post office directly. Since no one answers the phone, I had to physically go into the office. I told them what was going on. They took my key and fortunately waived the fee to replace the key. The woman there told me it would take about three weeks to fix the box, and in the meantime, I would have to pick up my mail at the office. Fine, whatever. Then two days later, I receive a call from an unknown number. The voicemail tells me that my keys are ready. I'm thinking, "Wow! That was fast." So I go to the post office and tell the man at customer service about the voicemail. He is baffled and can't understand how or why someone would leave that message. I tell him I have no idea, but there's a message on my phone. Don't know what else you want me to say. Anyway, he gives me MY mail, but not the rest of the mail for the household. I have to come back after realizing this, and he tells me that's all that was there. Whatever. I let the other people in my house know, and they end up having to go down there themselves. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! There was mail for them there, too. Do these people know what they're doing? Three weeks passes, we receive a note that the keys are ready. We go in to get them and they tell us the keys AREN'T ready and that they were given the wrong key initially! Not so, my friend. Not so. And if that were the case, why didn't you say anything THREE WEEKS AGO? I'm still waiting for my mailbox to be fixed. It's been over a month since this circus act began. 2. Business. We received a check from a customer in the mail. It was delivered in a generic "apology" envelope. Apologizing for what, you ask? Well, for shredding the mail in half. It literally looks like a dog got a hold of it and chewed it to pieces. Basically, the envelope they sent it in apologizes for their terrible service, but asks me to understand that they get a lot of mail. Sure, I get that. What the hell does that have to do with you DESTROYING my mail? I tried to file a claim online but you can apparently only do that if you have a tracking number. Obviously I didn't. Sent a customer service email because the customer service phone number takes you in circles and you have to pull teeth to try to speak to an actual human being. The email response tells me to call customer service. Wonderful. I do it AGAIN. I'm only hold for 40 minutes before I'm unexpectedly hung up on. I try to email customer service again. They keep sending me generic emails, and eventually just sent me a customer satisfaction survey .You bet I let them know how "satisfied" I was. Neither of these issues have been resolved. I understand that this particular office is not necessarily responsible for this nonsense, but at the same time, some of it is. The woman with dark hair in the lobby and Ed are really the only two people who haven't infuriated me here. I get that this is a public institution. I get that it's a lot of work. I've never been one to complain about postal service because I've always had respect for postal workers. The occasional inconvenience isn't what bothers me. It's the lack of communication and clear disrespect for others' property. I can get past honest mistakes, but repeated incidents are very upsetting. read more

Every time I come the lines are long. There's one person trying to manage the line, asking why they are there and then u have to take that paper to the actual cashier . Instead of helping, this slows the line. I beleive she should be inside actually helping not just trying to direct the line because that doesn't help. read more

Normally I wouldn't submit a Yelp on a public servant but this really bothered me, maybe it's the state of our country but this just stuck in the pit of my stomach. My bad I was texting...as I looked up from being called ma'am which must have been said numerous times from the annoyed RBF stare I received. I went into the PO to pick up junk mail and a few pieces of mail actually addressed to me and not the resident of. I was told that I need to be more diligent about picking up my mail which is correct. I was stopped in my apology and told with disdain that my mail would be sent back. I tried again to apologize and talked about getting home late and being fearful of going to the mailbox since the street light has been out. Clearly, this was no excuse as I was told, "everyone has their situations, but you need to pick up your mail". Let me back up to standing in line. I went to the PO during my lunch hour and knew there would be a line. As we stood in line there was one clerk at the front desk and another directing the line. My tag was pulled from the line and the PO that I mentioned above calling me ma'am was asked to obtain my package. I was first met with a disgusted look at this point as she told her coworkers that these were not to be pulled ahead of the line. Now I was just standing in line and she's mad at me. Fast forward to ma'am, as I look up to see all her co-workers with a grin and her disgusted look. Do they have an inside story of her disgust with cell phones? Who knows? As I walk up to the desk, I think, she's holding to handfuls of my mail, why didn't she call me by name after she got tired of saying ma'am. And when she disregarded my situation, I simply thought of Joyce Vincent. Many of you may not know her but she lay dead in her apartment for three years with her mail being delivered before anyone noticed. Now I could think maybe the PO is just looking out for me. But clearly, situations don't mean anything to this particular PO clerk. I've never had an issue with my actual carrier and I usually do my postal service at the downtown office. It's safe to say, should I have to go back into this office, I will probably wait in line for the next clerk. read more

The mail carrier or carriers from this Post Office are probably the laziest I have ever encountered. Not only I receive other people's mail, but other people receive mine. Also, when I scheduled a mail pick up, twice he drove off and did not get my package and reported that my box was not in front of the door when in fact my packages had been sitting in front of my door since 6 am. Literally watched him drive off without getting out and checking. I tried calling this location, the phone rings and then hangs up. tried calling the 800 number, 4 times I have been put on hold for over one hour. Reading the other reviews I am guessing that it will not make a difference if I physically go to the office and file a complaint. I filed a complaint using the Contact Us email yesterday, let's see if I get a response. read more

So, my lady friend has kids and a small weenie dog, they had him on a leash attatched at the collar, the apartment where we are currently is behind the mail boxes. they went to take the dog to pee and he rounded the corner as the leash is long, he barked at the mailman (and only barked) and the mailman felt the need to pepper spray a 20 pound dog. he stated that the animal was attacking him but we have more than 7 witnesses who were standing there. when the kids came back inside, the had the dog in their arms crying and yelping due to the pepper spray, i ran out of the apartment and tracked the mailman down and told him if he ever did that again i would hunt him down. after that they held our mail for the better part of a month. this behavior is disgusting and unneccessary. I will in my power try to find this gentleman and rectify the issue myself if they will not handle it at the post office level. read more

USPS overall does OK, but the carrier for our location in 93705 delivers mail to the wrong houses constantly. Yesterday, again, the carrier put one of my mailbox size packages into a totally different mailbox 6 houses away. Good thing that neighbor is honest. read more

Worst post office ever the mail men\women are rude ive had my packages but in lock boxes with bent keys that wont open the unit. There phone line is always a busy signal. And just recently i ordered a plant that was supposed to be out for delivery yesteday and i just check and they sent it out to clovis for no reason other then they dont know how to check where a package is going. This is a great spot to pick up mail, always a parking spot available. People are friendly and has plenty of shade. There is a bus stop to get there. Place is also pretty clean. read more

Around 10am yesterday June 20th,I went to the post office to send stuff to a friend that lives in Austria. The day before, I came back from a trip to Universal Studios and Disney World in Orlando where I bought souvenirs for my friend. I bought a wand from the Harry Potter section at Island of Adventure, but it was too long (15 inches) for any of the flat rate boxes except the large. The large flat rate would cost me $80 to ship internationally. So this Asian guy (forgot his name) told me it would be way cheaper if I used my own box. So I went back home and used a perfectly sized box for the wand and other stuff I got for my friend in Austria and I only paid $20! I rarely send packages, so I don't know how sending a package works until now. Looks like I'll be sending a whole lot of stuff domestically and internationally now lol Great service by the Asian guy who helped me and an instant 5 stars for paying $60 less than expected and good service. read more

I forgot why I don't use the post office any more. Came home to find a "We Missed You" notice. So I went online to reschedule a re-delivery. My wife even changed her plans to be home for it. She stayed home for no reason. It never showed up. As a matter of fact we didn't get any mail that day. I went back online to track it and a notice was in there that re-delivery was attempted. Not true at all. The door was open at the time of the supposed delivery and we have two dogs which love to look out our front door and alert us anything crosses our driveway. We didn't even get a "We Missed You" notice. Today I have been trying to call but no one answers the phone. I am a Veteran waiting for important mail. I hope this isn't one of them. Someone stole our mail box. yes, someone unbolted it and took it, and I try to call and it was a dead end. This office cannot be contacted with a complaint. They lost one package and I complained, and finally a couple days later they found it. Right now I cannot get mail because the mail box is stolen and no one seems to care. read more

Postmaster dismissed a complaint regarding the unsafe speed and disregard for safety concerning one of her carriers. Repeatedly the carrier in question drives onto and off of the property at entirely unnecessary speeds throwing giant clouds of dirt up and onto surrounding grapevines and with a disregard for animals and children playing on the property and in fact today didn't slow down one bit after nearly running over a dog. If their delivery schedule is run so tightly that safety is given a lower priority then perhaps they should address that before property is damaged or someone is hospitalized. read more
