Its a small town and most mail deliveries are done by the mail man who walks his route. However there is a huge problem with the truck driven package delivery system which is nothing short of what you might expect from a third world country. Two weeks ago a package was not even attempted to be delivered to me. No note, no delivery.. they just returned it to sender. I try to work around this by telling people to never send me anything USPS and to use UPS or Fed X.. anyone else ! Unfortunately some venders have contracts with USPS and I have no choice. Just now I have been waiting for a very important package that deals with my business that was marked for "signature required". I had the USPS tracking number so I could track it. After waiting 48 hours the tracking program records " attempted delivery". My whole family was home waiting so there is no way they attempted delivery. If they did attempt they did not leave a note. I don't know if its the problem with the USPS system or just this local post office. I hope this post office can sort out their problems and get ride of whoever is at the root of this problem. Under normal circumstances I would just say " so what, its just a package", a pair of shoes or a CD can wait. But when it effects my business I take it personal.

During my interaction, I was met…read morewith an unnecessarily harsh tone, a poor attitude, and an overall lack of basic customer service from Clerk #15. Unfortunately, this behavior did not appear to be limited to my interaction. While I was at the post office, I observed similarly discourteous interactions with several customers who were assisted before me as well as customers who came afterward. What was particularly concerning occurred at the end of my transaction. When the option appeared on the customer-facing display allowing me to rate the service I received, Clerk #15 quickly bypassed the survey before I had an opportunity to complete it. I had already made it clear during the interaction that I was dissatisfied with the level of service I received. I specifically asked the clerk to return the survey to the screen so that I could provide my feedback. I was advised that she could not do so. Given the timing and circumstances, I was very concerned that the survey was intentionally bypassed because the clerk was aware that I intended to provide a negative rating. Customers should be treated professionally and respectfully, regardless of how busy the location( at this time the location was not busy) may be. Just as importantly, customers should be permitted to provide feedback regarding their experience without an employee interfering with or bypassing the feedback process. New leadership should be put in place. I am requesting that USPS management review this incident, including the transaction and the conduct of Clerk #15, and determine whether customer-service survey opportunities are being improperly bypassed. I would also appreciate confirmation from the USPS customer service department that this complaint has been received and information regarding any follow-up that may be appropriate.

I heard a man who sends the mail out curse while saying this is just a job, whilst carrying a box full of packages he reluctantly refused to properly disperse. The same place, maybe a year before, I wrote them a letter and slid it under their door about a package I knew was there, telling them I've had enough packages stolen.
