Most people only leave reviews for USPS when it's a bad experience, hence the overwhelming 1 star reviews on this particular USPS. I frequently sell things online and come here to drop them off (multiple times a week.) The drop box inside doesn't scan items the same day if you do it after 4pm, so I opt to stand in line to get them manually scanned with a receipt. ALL the workers at the front desk area are kind, helpful, and seem to enjoy their job. The service is semi slow but that's to be expected if there's only two people working the front and 10+ coming in at a time with various different needs. I've lived in a lot of places and frequented a lot of different USPS stores - this one is by far the best. Ignore the negative reviews and go inside if you're having a mail issue, they'll help you out with great customer service. read more

After reading reviews I was hesitant about using this location for a PO box. I found they total opposite of most reviews - Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help. I you need a POBox or somewhere safe to have packages sent - go see them you won't be disappointed! read more

This is regarding the actual delivery driver(s) that deliver to the Condos on Acapulco Ct (it comes from this PO because this is where I have to pick up mail). You are TERRIBLE at your job. I've asked several times to bring larger packages up to the door because I cannot get them out of the mail box. YOUR DEPOSIT SIDE IS BIGGER THAN MY RETRIEVAL SIDE!!! Friendly and easy to work with. Nice folks working our route. When I had a problem, I was able to get my issue resolved with a single call.

We chose this location because of its proximity to the airport as we needed to send some extra clothes back. Initially we noticed the terrible reviews... However, our experience was nothing but wonderful! The USPS employee that helped us was very kind and considerate in our rush to catch a flight. We had no trouble at all getting our package out. I left on deployment and had someone watch over my mail. I was getting regular mail. I came back and I was not receiving mail. I went to the post office and the lady said I had to put my name inside the mail box. I knew I already had my name on the white slip. Why did one mail people face my slip on the blank slide slide no one was living there. I have so much important mail coming in and the fact they act like no one was living there is sad cause I never submitted a change of address. I'd give it a zero but that's not an option. I called yesterday to put my mail on hold to pick up bc we just moved and don't have our keys to the mailbox yet. The lady told me I'd be able to pick them up today. I went in, and apparently the bitch didn't do her job and take my information and make a holding card. So then I had to fill one out and can't pick up my packages for a few days. And it is crucial that I was supposed to get my packages today bc in one of them is my anxiety medication that I haven't been able to take for 2 weeks and have been having withdrawals from. Never thought I would be writing a review of a post office, but here I am. They don't even pick up phones, just transfer you to a busy line.

Service was fine for 15 years. Got a new route person and have had nothing but trouble since. Told me that he would no longer be delivering to my house until I got new steps. I laughed thinking he was joking then my mail started becoming intermittent....thinking I was just being suspicious for nothing I asked my mail man about it...he said his pack was lighter these days.....wtf. I got the steps replaced and was OK for awhile and then a couple months later I get a stack of mail in my box marked "dog". I am like what is that? This happened a few more times so I asked him what does this mean and he said if your let your dog out I won't be bringing mail, you can pick it up. I don't know who the this guy thinks he is but now he has succeeded in NOT doing his job and lying to his supervisor to believing his crap. I asked for proof the supervisor wouldn't supply any just saying he has pictures. I have cameras with lots of footage of the mailman walking by a clear front yard....complain if you are receiving poor service....maybe they will get audited. read more

I hate the Post Office. I hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it. I know it's not the post workers fault the lines are long, the dim fluorescent lighting is reminiscent of psychiatric wards, the Priority shipping boxes are never in their appropriate slots and a pen is not available when you need one. Post Office employees are underpaid, have no motivation to keep the line moving faster and deal with really grumpy people who were agreeable people when they came in and then morphed into a brood of angry alley cats once they approached the counter. I try so hard to avoid the lines and hit up the automated postage center first but every once in awhile, they're out of boxes or the machine is down or I need to send something overseas and 40+ minutes of my life is sucked out. On average, there's 3 customer service agents and 12 people in front of me at any given time of the day. I try to hold off sending packages and letters as much as possible because the only post office that moves efficiently is the one all the way in Monument! If I was an independently wealthy person, I'd have my own FedEx packaging center next to the gift wrapping room. Until then, I look to Amazon for help in avoiding shipping my own handiwork. read more

This review is for to the fountain Blvd USPS. 80916- My box said it would be here on 10/18/19, a priority paid box and it just was delivered yesterday -10/21/19. I call BS on the lack of efficiency and how it's just getting slower and slower. Just imagine what the holidays will be like if postal service cannot get priority packages on time to patrons now. No one answers the phone here. Missing packages saying they're being held at the PO at customers request. I requested no such thing. Now, I can't get a hold of anyone to figure out what is going on. Despite friendly employees, I had to request a mailbox key three different times. As the first two times, I returned to be told they could not find record of a request. I submitted the third request and received Keys two days later. Upon receiving keys they worked for my unit that morning, come afternoon the locks had been changed again. It seems by mix up due to having to submit so many requests. Yet, I called multiple times to handle the issue over the phone while unable to go down to the post office itself for the time and not once did someone answer the line. Very unhappy that it has taken five trips to the location and three requests just to receive keys to obtain my own mail. read more

1 star for passport services. Avoid this location and go to the Pikes Peak location if you need a passport. Prior to going to the Fountain location I checked their passport hours on the website, arrived 10 minutes before the 10am time given on the website. Then waited in line for 45 minutes only to be told the "passport guy" was not in and "might" be in at 11. Not to mention she was very rude just because I asked her how long the process would take once he arrived. There is no reason why they couldn't have placed a sign on the door or made sporadic announcements letting everyone know "passport guy" wasn't in. I know the post office is short staffed, we all are. But in my line of work if I'm unable to work, there has to be someone who can stand in my absence or I would at least have the common courtesy to let people know before they wasted their time. read more

This is one of the most un-kept mail facility that I have been in. I will say this, they are consistent. They are consistent with NOT stocking envelopes, documents, and forms. They are consistent with their not so pleasant attitudes. The lobby always has an appearance that it's dirty. No one can be bothered to pick up trash that was left on the counters, I saw discarded forms strewn on the floor. I am happy to pay more to go to an Annex to mail out things because there, I am treated like a person and the facilities are always clean. But because I have a mailbox at this location I mailed out my package here. read more

Who likes going to the post office? I mean, lets be honest here. NOBODY. You usually expect some cranky workers who aren't smiling, and look like they want to reach over the counter and smack you. And the lines are usually long. And it usually takes 20 minutes just to send out a package. BUT these people work hard, and they get your stuff to where it needs to go. Honestly, the staff was nice and for me a nice staff is what really counts. I can understand being behind, or having to work with a minimal crew. I mean, crap happens - we're all human, but as long as you acknowledge my presence and offer a smile I'm good. The staff did that, so I'm good. read more

I am beyond frustrated with this location. I've been trying to use our business reply account that was set up in March 2019, but the person responsible for doing this NEVER completed it and here I sit in August 2019 still trying to get her to process the 6805 form so I can use the account I paid an annual fee for! I've filled out the form at least 5 times now, and most recently she filled it out for me with the wrong business name. So I filled out another one for her with the correct business name and 11 days later she's asking me to sign the wrong business name version again. Absolute worst post office to ever go to! Usually only has one guy working at a time, lines take up to 45-70 minutes just to deliver mail or a package. I had to fill out forms there several times for them to hold my mail and get mail box keys because no one can do there job and properly put paperwork in the system. Management is so unprofessional. I went in there today to mail a package. I put it on the counter and the worker was really rude saying I have the wrong label. A tall black man. I continued to be nice to him but he continued to speak to me in a tone to make me feel stupid as he was talking down on me. He said to fill out another label, so I went looking around the post office for a pen as he was staring at me. There was no pen in there for me to use. He could have just told me there's no pens in there or he could have offered me one to use. Instead I went back outside to the parking lot just to fill out a small label. I came back in there and gave him the right label and he said nothing. I will never go back to that location again. read more

It seems to me that one of the core functions of a post office, after delivery of mail, should be the forwarding of mail if a correctly executed request for forward is done. That apparently is not the case at this post office. I submitted a temporary forward request to begin Nov. 1st, and received confirmation both at my po box and my new temporary forward address, yet my po box at this location was still getting stuffed with mail as late as Nov. 10th. I talked to a supervisor about it, who blocked off my box and displayed the forward info on the back (USPS employee) end of the box. Unfortunately, the fistfuls of mail I should've been getting this time of year was barely a trickle, and then I started getting calls from customers around the country telling me they had sent in their orders to my po box and, instead of those orders getting forwarded like they should have been, they were getting returned to my customers marked UNDELIVERABLE AS ADDRESSED. WTH??? So I just spent an hour dialing, then re-dialing the phone number to this facility, finally got in touch with a supervisor, who promptly passed me to the entirely worthless guy in charge of the boxes, who was too busy making excuses to hear a word I said, before passing me off back to the same supervisor, who hopefully will get the job done and get my mail properly forwarded to me. I went through this process exactly how the USPS requires me to. It's so frustrating and discouraging that this basic function of the USPS has been so miserably mishandled! After this experience, I don't know how their star rating is 1.9. They keep raising their rates but their service hasn't risen anywhere near that rate, and has likely gotten worse, if this experience is any indication. read more

The few times I have had to drop off a package, I experienced mostly nice employees except for today. I went into the post office to drop off a package. The clerk that ran me up was very rude. She scanned my box and I asked her if I could also add some insurance to my package. She sighed and said in a nasty tone"Now I have to void this and start all over. Next time you want to add insurance, tell us before we scan the box". First of all, how am I supposed to know this? Is there a sign saying that I have to tell you I want insurance before you scan my box? There is no sign anywhere saying that and this is only the second time I have ever shipped a package before and requested insurance. I also overheard the clerk next to her ask another customer if they wanted to add insurance to their package. I was expecting my clerk to ask me the same thing and that's why I waited.
