They almost sent me away, despite it not being busy but they decided to allow me to fill out the application and apply for it anyways. The process was quick and easy. I got a package that said "no access to delivery location" and I called the post office not expecting to even talk to anybody, but the lady I talked to was very nice and she looked for my package and did not find it and ended up taking my name and number down because she was going to keep a lookout for it and keep looking for it and said she would call me back if she found anything. The supervisor acted as if I was a major inconvenience, was incredibly rude, spoke to me in a degrading manner and in no way should be a customer facing person. I came in the other day to complete a change of address form. When attempting to change the address I asked if the date needed to be back filled to the day of which I moved into the new address. I informed the front desk clerk this date was October of last year. I was then yelled at and told that he should not even complete this request for me due to the length of time along with reprimanding me like a child. I was humiliated and embarrassed. Furthermore, what that employee did not know is that I finally had the chance to feel safe enough to change my address after leaving an abusive relationship. I called to complain on this employee, in hopes the facility would gather an understanding on what happened, so that that employee would not treat other possible victims of domestic violence in such a manner. My complaint was not resolved. Instead I received an email which informed me that they would not be competing my change of address, with a smug apology. This is absolutely disgusting. They earned their 1.5 star rating. The lines in here are ALWAYS long because they have 2 people who work here at any given time. They took my mailbox key from my box (which we have multiple keys for) and held it and my mail hostage saying they would not deliver mail till that specific key was picked up. This alone was an aggravation because I commute almost 5 hours per day up to Boulder and back and it was impossible to get there during their open hours. When I finally managed to they made me wait in this line from here to China, JUST to hand me back my key!! I avoid coming here any time I can because of every PO I've been to this one just absolutely sucks!! The people who work here illustrate absolutely no sense of urgency to move people through the line, moving so slow you'd think they'd been set to .5x speed. Hate it. 1.5 is deserved. read more

These people have no clue what they're doing. I moved in the beginning of December, put a hold on my address just to still receive mail to my old parcel for about 2 weeks. I had things delivered to my new address, in which I asked the carrier to simply leave it at the post office for I thought the delivery was through FedEx. He of course delivered it to my parcel!! I requested to get my keys on the 23rd of December, someone was suppose to call me when the locks were changed, this to never happened. I took it upon myself to go in and just see if they were available because it had been 2 weeks since I put the request in. The older white lady I was speaking to was so obnoxiously rude, told me she doesn't know where my keys are & to take it up with the supervisor. You would think people would hold some type of moral standard, considering they're working directly with the public and people's mail. Kind of important in my opinion and to have such uncaring and negligent staff is above me. If I could choose a different postal office I would, because these people are absolutely ridiculous. I will say that the older gentleman is very kind as well as the ethnic woman who works up front. Everyone else can go, including the carriers. read more

Postal Clerk at the Centennial Office location was rude and condescending. All she cared about was taking an early break. Two different clerks gave me two different prices for the same package. Unfortunately I can't use a 0 star. The staff is extremely rude. As you all know we have to but our own tap. I was almost literally accused of steal tape. I purchased this tape from this exact same store months ago because the rude lady would not let me use her. well to my surprise the lady should have stamped it when I bought it. I assured the gentleman that it was mine. He stamped the roll of tape right before he snatched my package from my hand. I have to come here because it is the closest PO in my area. I have good reason to believe my carrier is stealing high value packages. Two packages have gone missing but said delivered.

I prefer to write positive reviews but I'm hoping this can be used critique can be used constructively. The USPS on Research is amazing and 180* opposite this location. In fact, out of four Colorado Springs locations I have visited, Galley road is the worst. I sincerely wish I could change centers for my home mailing. I am not sure why this location is the only one without any happy/friendly staff and is slower than the BMV. Just driving into the place is a nightmare. Every time I go, they always look miserable, they never smile and quite frankly I can't stand the ladies that work there, bunch of rude people. My card was declined and the lady out loud says I have no funds. I told her she was wrong, must be some mistake. I called my bank, they said nothing was wrong. If I could give ZERO stars, that's what they would get! They are not even worthy of 1 star! I have put mail on hold here and had it released to someone else! Then recently my ValPak envelopes arrive either opened or not at all! This is infuriating because ValPak announced $100 being sent out in random envelopes several months ago. Prior to the news reporting these funds in random envelopes, I received them on a regular basis. Now.... as stated before not at all or the envelope is opened on the side. Apparently these lazy bums don't make enough money so they're going through the ValPak envelopes (most likely during sorting) and pocketing the money. I dont need the money but, I also don't want my mail rummaged through by these overpaid and lazy postal workers. This morning (Good Friday, March 30, 2018), was the worst morning experienced at the PO. Not opened! Waited for about 1 1/2, but still the steel blinds did not open. Many people left after seeing it closed, did not get a reason or when they were going to open from the back room staff. Extremely horrible customer service. Mailed a package via Priority Mail Express with a money back guarantee. It did not make it by guaranteed delivery date. While trying to get a refund for services not rendered experienced the most hassle I've vet encountered from Mr. Lee at this post office. First they said I had to have a customer label receipt. I process that delivery via kiosk and it didn't produce the receipt they referred to. I had to return another day and Mr. Lee told me he didn't have enough cash to issue a refund. I said I'd wait in the lobby, while I did so I called USPS customer service 800 number. The accounting and help desk said they should be able to issue a no fee money order. Mr. Lee never presented that option. The USPS rep on the 800 number even offered to speak to him. Which he declined. Spoke to another clerk at the package pick up window who then spoke to Mr. Lee. He eventually processed the refund via money order. So two separate visits, totaling about 3 hours I finally received the refund. Also, Mr. Lee refused to give me the tracking info print out he printed it on my first visit that I had taken some notes on during my second visit. He also refused to give me back the original receipt from the kiosk. The USPS customer service hotline rep told me that they should make a copy of it and return the original to me. I informed him of that and he still refused. Currently trying to call the local consumer affairs hotline to file a complaint and only receiving an automated message an no eventual pick up. If I could give it 0 stars I would. There is ALWAYS a 15 min wait minimum, and that's on a good day. I made the mistake of coming to this post office instead of the one in Fountain because I was on this side of town, huge mistake. Never again. I was in there for 30 minutes and only 2 people working, disappearing to the back for at least 7 mins each while the line grows. They can go through the line and ask who's picking up mail and get them served right away but everyone else is nothing. Horrible. Hire more people or more efficient ones! read more

Pray your mail and packages never goes through this post office. Unfortunately, if you live in area, it probably does. Yet again for fifth time for us alone in only 2 years and for our 5th out of 6 times a package has goen through them, our package has been "lost" at this post office or in transit between there and our home or office. Once it is marked "out for delivery", you will never see it again. They are very clearly being stolen by someone in the facility or delivery but it's obvious they are still working there. We have been in line for the supervisor many times trying to recover mail and packages alongside other frustrated and angry customers having to do the same and if you read other reviews, their packages and checks are disappearing as well. Does the post office ever do anything about it? No. Just empty promises and fake apologies. If you live in this area, insist your friends, family, and orders go through FedEx or UPS and not USPS if you ever want to see it and hope it isn't something irreplaceable. read more

Another time after they figured out that my package had arrived they were unwilling to find it for me to come pick it up. This was a mother's day present for my wife. They didn't care. It seemed like I was bothering them by asking them to do their job. This has got to be the worst location that usps has. If you have anything important being shipped DO NOT use these guys. I went to set up my po box that I ordered online and was greeted by the employee with a bad attitude and was told rudely that the online po box services do not work and didn't want to help any further. We proceeded to ask her if we could just set one up on the spot then and at that point she did help. We did have to go back home and cancel the order I put in online and ask for a refund.
