They were very helpful with me not knowing my options, and even though there was a decent line of people, they were great. Even when I was in line, it wasn't that long of a wait. I've had much much worse experiences. And frankly, when you walk in and see that 10-15 person line and have to wait 20-30 min just to see the person behind the counter, at least you have someone nice to work with that made that whole waiting experience inconsequential. Today, December 31, I walked in at 12:33 p.m. and the counter was completely closed (the steel curtain was down). No signage on the doors to indicate the branch would be closed today. Luckily the main door was open, and I could use the self-serve stand to mail my pre-paid business packages. BUT, if the self-serve bin had been full (and, as a result, locked), I would not have been able to drop off the packages I needed to send out today. Today is not a holiday and the hours posted online are as follows: "Tuesday, December 31 (New Year's Eve) Local Post Office locations will be open." I would use the Rockrimmon or Briargate branches and avoid this one. Briargate is exceptional.

The drop box inside doesn't scan items the same day if you do it after 4pm, so I opt to stand in line to get them manually scanned with a receipt. ALL the workers at the front desk area are kind, helpful, and seem to enjoy their job. The service is semi slow but that's to be expected if there's only two people working the front and 10+ coming in at a time with various different needs. I've lived in a lot of places and frequented a lot of different USPS stores - this one is by far the best. Ignore the negative reviews and go inside if you're having a mail issue, they'll help you out with great customer service.

Holly also confronted my partner who also needed services and slammed a door in his face and threatened to call the cops bc he was told to wait for information by a manager. This is extremely inappropriate behavior especially when working in a public service building. I sincerely hope this actually gets taken care of in the future.

According to their schedule appointment website it says walk in hours are 9-12am. I get there on 27 Dec 2025 at 1030hrs. As I walk into the lobby they have word document notices that they are only performing passport operations from 10-11am. I walk in because I still have 30min until their new "policy" is closed for the day. They announce that they are only taking one more applicant and even though the family ahead of me had no paperwork prefilled out, I let them go ahead of me and I'll just show up the next week which was today the 3rd of Jan 2026. I show up at exactly 1000hrs on the dot. I get called up to the desk and the very rude customer service rep asked me if I had a number to be seen, I'm asking what number are referring too? He stated there are numbers that drawn to get serviced for passports and I'm like what??? I told him that I had no idea there was a number system and that it isn't stated anywhere in the lobby so how am I supposed to know about this. I explained to him I was here a week ago and there was no number system then. He stated that he wasn't going to argue with me at all. And then proceeded to ignore me and not even look me in my eyes knowing that he was wrong and rude. Didn't even try to help me at all and tried calling another customer to get rid of me. That offices policy isn't posted anywhere and they stated that last week that they didn't update the website to reflect said updated policy. This is very unacceptable behavior and I expected better from the so called professionals at the USPS. I served this country for 23 years in the Army on many deployments and I got better treatment on foreign USPS offices then I did here today. That is ridiculous!

I walked in, during the Christmas last minute rush, found only a few people in line. The line went quickly, and my package was out of my hands in under ten minutes. My apartments are often inaccessible due to others locking our entry door during the day, and I sometimes worry about things getting stolen. This takes care of both of those issues. Perfect. Imagine my surprise to have the cherry on top of cheery, lovely service every.single.time. I come in (which is fairly frequently). The business appears to be family owned, and they've got a litany of other services I wouldn't hesitate to ask for, if needed. Whenever I have a package to pickup, it's always quick, efficient, and with a smile- what more could you ask for? We did have weather delay which i understand we can't do nothing about mother nature but package kept getting delayed. Still not delivered on Tuesday even though package was at the destination. The person at the other end had to go to the local center and they explained it was not sent as 2 day delivery. Called the mail center and they are explained it indicates it is a 2 day delivery but when they get delivered is fed ex issue, not theirs and i did not pay for 2 day delivery. That was never explained...I thought I was getting a good deal but apparently I was swindled... won't be using them.... should be honest with people.

As long as you have the documents in order, everything is smooth! Knowing how post offices can kind of suck, and lines are similar to the DMV, I arrived promptly at two minutes until 10. The first two appointments were already in line waiting. Promptly at 10, the first appointment was called to the counter and didn't have his paperwork filled out in black ink and he needed to go to the side to fix this. Instead of starting with the second appointment, she wanted to give the guy a chance to fill his stuff out. Since I was a walk in, I walked up to the counter just to verify that 1) they took walk ins, and 2) I had all my information filled out correctly. Everything was in order so she went ahead and slipped me in, rather than waiting until the appointments were completed, since she thought she could do it pretty quickly. Now, remember, this is a government agency. She didn't have to make the effort to try to slip me in, but she did. I was in and out in five minutes. She took her job very seriously, but was very efficient and I was a happy camper, on my way to do anything other than waiting in line at the post office on this day.
