I've used this post office location for 45 years and I've found the service and employees to be so helpful! Even the manager comes out to help with heavy packages. I see so many customers that bring in items without proper packaging, no tape and expect employees to figure out everything for them. This causes long slow lines. It's easy to forget that upper management runs the show & postal workers don't have a choice. Our home mail is always delivered on time and properly. We have a wonderful mail man we love. Pick ups are on time and correct. People need to try to relax; our world is getting more & more complex and CS isn't a priority today. read more

This location has been my go-to place for all my postal services needs. I've dropped off my prepaid packages in their parcel box and it's been scanned and delivered with no problems. The times I've interacted with the workers they've been helpful and nice. This place does get really busy so I prefer going at an earlier time normally anytime before 2pm to avoid long wait times. read more

Oh the US Post Office!! A necessary evil sometimes. :D The thing that I am reviewing here and that saves my sanity are the kiosks in the front. These are available outside of Post Office hours, and are usually a shorter wait time than the counters during Post Office hours. You can purchase stamps, and shipping labels here. (Possibly some other things too, but I only ever purchase stamps and shipping labels!) The stamps are all standard stamps that are printed one at a time. If you are purchasing a lot, this takes a few minutes and just be sure you get all of them. I would say the kiosk is good for stamp purchases in smaller numbers, there are no booklets available for purchase here. The kiosk is great, if you are shipping packages! If you are shipping an item, be sure to bring the item you are going to ship, already packaged, and bring a note with the address you are sending it to. It is based on weight and you have to enter an address, so you can't necessarily purchase multiple shipping labels ahead of time. There are options from type of shipping including with signatures, and with insurance and all those options! The label is peel and stick and you will need to add your return address to it, so bring a pen/sharpie! The kiosk takes cards only, and you can run the card as debit or credit. The kiosk also lets you print out a receipt or email it. I can't remember if you can do both, but that may be an option. I hope that helps if you want to try to use the front area kiosks! read more

Lazy bunch of crooks. The USPS has a contract to deliver packages from Amazon, but our Clovis mail lady refuses to do so. When I track the packages, the USPS update says crap like "Delivery attempted at 7:36 am, unable to deliver." That's a load of bull. Mail lady obviously decided she just couldn't be bothered to deliver any packages that day. I have PAID for USPS delivery, not a bunch of lies!! If I could leave zero stars I would. I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Clovis US Post Office. The service I received was both nasty and rude. Jonesha likes to laugh in customer's faces. From the moment I began discussing my issue with Jonesha, she was extremely unhelpful, dismissive and thought the issue was hysterical. Since she was useless, she reached to a supervisor, who suddenly had a meeting at the time. I then asked for the supervisor's name and she said she didn't know, the nice lady working next to her, said her name was Sandra. Not sure if this is true or another nasty remark. Additionally, the overall atmosphere in the office was unwelcoming. I called USPS Customer Service, after waiting on hold for an hour, they referred me to the local post office with "next steps". These next steps were difficult for Jonesha, the supervisor and the entire US Post Office in Clovis. I left USPS leaving my phone number to receive a call from the supervisor, 24 hours later, no call and no assistance to receive my package. The entire instance was a mess, reflecting the employees' complete lack of care or respect for their job. When I politely asked for help with a package, the clerk (Jonesha) laughed at me and acted like I was a nuisance for even being there. This wasn't just a bad day; it was a blatant display of sheer incompetence and disrespect. I'm appalled by how poorly USPS treats its customers and will be taking my business elsewhere. This branch needs a complete overhaul of staff and management if it ever hopes to provide even a basic level of service. read more

The kind women working at this post office went above and beyond to help me locate my lost package. She called me several times, emailed me, and even had the mail delivery person knocking on doors to locate my package. And after several weeks she must have found it because it arrived in my mailbox! I have been coming to this post office since I moved to Clovis, Ca in September 2019. I recall taking pictures of the inside but I can't find them. Anywho, I literally live right across the street from the Clovis post office which since I moved to the area I drive less as mostly everything is walking distance which is awesome! So I usually walk to the post office to pick up packages or take care of my mailing needs. I always forget to check in on yelp but I at least come here like every two months. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Due to COVID they require all customers to wear masks. I usually go to this post office before noon so there's usually not a long wait. The most I had to wait was like 7 mins usually less than 5 minutes and they usually only have two workers up front. The prices are reasonable. It was .55 cents to mail a letter which is not bad. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I honestly haven't had a bad experience at any post office locations they all have been very clean and organized. I love the convenience of this location more than anything! read more

It's really not fair that this is the only USPS that is not open on Saturdays. It sucks for the people that get certified mail in the mail boxes and have to come down to the post office to get but can't because they work Monday through Friday from 8am - 5pm . So what are those people suppose to do. Like myself I can not just take off of work on my lunch and go all the way to the post office to pick up my certified mail, when I work all the way on the other side of town off Herndon and marks. i would not have enough time to go there and back and not be late for work. Came here to get my mail since they can't deliver to our apartments just yet. And they were no help at all. They told me I couldn't get my husbands mail because none of the mail had my name on it even though I gave them the address and we share the same last name. So I had to go home and wait for my husband to get the mail after a long shift on the railroad! So when he went to get the mail he tried getting our daughters crocs as well and they tried to say that my daughter's crocs weren't being held there even though he literally showed them the email saying "held at Clovis post office". They tried brushing him off saying they have to help other customers and my husband put up a fight saying that he is a customer as well and he needs our daughter's package found. Two weeks before Christmas, Monday morning at 1000am, December 10th. Should have noticed when I drove up to mail a package before driving back to LA. It was super packed. I stood in line for over 40 minutes with two post office employees working the desk the whole time. You can't surely be that short staffed?? The post office employee helping out the customers on the floor, at the self-service kiosk and assisting the customers in line was a doll though. This by far is the worst post office or just maybe everyone that works at the post office now is rude and hates there job I went in on the Nov 27 to verify my identification for a PO Box because we are waiting for our home to be built and don't have an address so I changed my address to a P.O. I came here after moving to Clovis to get my mailbox rekeyed. What followed could only be described as a cacophony of incompetence. I first called and asked them how to get it rekeyed. They told me I could go into any post office, didn't have to be the Clovis one, and request it. So I waited in line at the downtown Fresno post office which is close to where I work, only for them to tell me I have to request it at the Clovis one. Obviously one of them was lying, though I couldn't tell you which one. So the next day I leave work a bit early and head over to the Clovis post office. Upon reaching the front of the line, I'm told that I need to bring documentation showing I live there. They never mentioned that over the phone. The day after, I leave work early again, documentation in hand. The friendly blonde lady behind the counter looks at my documentation, gives me a form to fill out, and tells me it will take them about a day to change the lock. She says she will call me when it's ready. A week passes, and I receive no phone call, and the lock hasn't been changed yet, so I call. They tell me they are behind on changing the locks and that there's a waiting list, but refuse to check to make sure I'm even on that list. They say it's taking a maximum of two weeks to change locks. Another week passes and still no call and no lock change. I call again and they confirm that I'm not even on the list! So they place me on the list over the phone, no documentation or anything. They don't even ask for my phone number this time. 10 days after that, I notice that the lock has finally been changed, but I don't receive a call. I call them and they confirm that my keys are ready to be picked up. I come into the post office again, wait in a 15-20 minute long line, only to be rudely told that I'm in the wrong line (seriously lady, you could've just helped me anyway). So I wait in another line for 5 minutes, the guy asks me for the address, and hands me the keys; didn't even ask for ID or anything. These overpaid federal employees are absolutely horrible; they make it difficult for honest people to deal with them and seemingly easy for crooks to steal your identity. I'm glad I had the key from the previous resident, or I'd have been going without access to my mail for almost four weeks! The reason I gave them two stars instead of one is because I was actually about to get a hold of them over the phone (about half the time I got a busy signal, but got through eventually). Other reviews in the past have said they don't even answer, so at least they're trying to get better. read more

My mail often goes missing- never making it to the destination (IE Late bill payments or thank you cards). I have THREE, yes 3 packages that say they were delivered 7 days ago....and I have recieved NONE! No notice that maybe it doesnt fit in the mailbox, nothing saying I have a too many and that i need to come pick up.... It took me realizing that I ordered some items and that I haven't been recieving them. Yet, I somehow manage to get neighbors mail more often than "accidents" should happen. Our entire neighborhood constantly mentions mail issues. The workers quality of attention to detail is HIGHLY Lacking. I would NEVER recommend sending USPS in Clovis....The mail system here is a joke.... I don't recommend. Pay for UPS or FEDEX...its worth knowing your packages and mail will arrive. read more

Just stopped by to drop off some outgoing mail before work one morning. I was pleased to see the main front door was already open (just after 8 AM), although the inside counter isn't open until 9AM. I always prefer leaving mail inside instead of in a public mailbox. The lobby was clean. There were a couple patrons waiting at the pick up door for items in the back. When I went back to my car, an employee was at the row of public mailboxes, checking on them and wiping them down. He was friendly and wished me a nice day. read more

The door to pick up packages at the Clovis Ca Post Office has posted operating hours of 9-5. If no one is there then ring the bell another sign reads. Can't count the times since our community mailbox was stolen and not replaced that I've been to the door and found it closed. I ring the bell every few minutes, nothing. I then get in line for the customer windows and am told to go back to the door and wait to get my mail. Try to complain and they get defensive, rude, and intimidating. They are horrible! read more

Can be busy, the post office workers are very fast to assist you. They are always friendly and polite, they have a hard job because it is the only post office in town. Parking can be a bit difficult near holidays, so go early in the morning. It is very clean and they sanitize often. read more

I guess the folks who sort the mail in the back room like to kick the boxes around a few times, as a quality control measure, before the merchandise arrives to its final destination. The only reason I am giving this place two stars rather than one is because the ladies at the front counter, like Martina, are very friendly and try to give you the impression with their pretty smiles that "USPS cares."
