Are things looking up a bit? I sure hope so. Over the past 10+ years, my experience at this location has been mostly mediocre to awful - slow, understaffed, often rude. Missing mail. Etc. Went in today to pick up mail after vacation from a "Hold Mail" request. While the office was understaffed (only 1 person working the front counter?!? Really? - that got the 3 stars), the USPS employee could not have been more friendly, professional and efficient. Let's hope this is the beginning of a trend. Pit of despair. I bought a card and the lady was on her phone (personal call) while she rang me up. Unacceptable to do this while you're interacting with customers and their money! If you actually need to mail something, plan on a long wait. They move at the speed of sloths. If you need a passport photo, that person seems to only be available sporadically. Go to the drugstore for it. The bar is exceptionally low here; but it's even lower at the South Euclid post office...if you can believe it! read more

If I could give a negative number I would. I have tried using USPS services but, I am constantly reminded why I use private delivery services. Unfortunately, it is a systemic problem with USPS. The average wait time if you call on the phone is over an hour, and coming into the branch the line is long, they staff is not able to sufficiently help you and there appears to be no desire to be any better than a stereotype of ignorance and bad attitudes. I cancelled a reaccuring monthly delivery just so I would not have to deal with anyone here. The attitudes, you encounter when they mess up and inconvenience you are deplorable. There needs to be a complete overhaul of staff and attitudes. read more

Everytime i come in buy stamps, or mail packages the line is long. They are always understaffed and little rude but our tax dollars pay their salary. Its such a disgrace to wait in line for them to tell you, your mail is lost or misplaced. read more

#Cleveland Hts. Post Office I do not want to even give this place a 1 star!!! It is by far the absolute WORST post office I have EVER had to do business with. I pick up mail there from our PO Box and the person who puts the mail into the box must be a VERY ANGRY individual.... who takes out their anger on the mail they CRAM into the back of the box. I feel bad writing this review because I love and support USPS. Unfortunately, every time I've been to this location I have had a bad experience. On my last trip here, I watched the two employees belittle and degrade four different customers. Another customer attempted to step in and was screamed at by an employee. I am disappointed to see employees of such a wonderful company give the company (or at least this location) a bad reputation. I can tell by my security camera that my carrier doesn't bother to deliver every day. And then when you try to call, you get stuck with a voice-recognition 800 number. Say AGENT and then ask for tracking number. I don't have a tracking number, if I was tracking a package I would have said TRACKING! After yelling at this computer for 5 minutes, they put my in a que and my call will be answered in over an hour. wait what? oh FFS, just deliver my mail! read more

This location is advertised as full service. It does have post office boxes. You can ship items and pick up mail on hold. You can also apply for a passport and have your passport picture taken. That being said, I have never been here when the staff was the least bit helpful or courteous. There are usually two or three workers present, but only one actually working. i really enjoyed listening to one of them rant about how if someone doesn't respect them they won't show respect back. I can imagine (working in a service industry myself) that there are downright rude people they have to serve, but when you are polite, respectful and patient after waiting in line to be served, it would be nice to deal with a pleasant person. If you don't want to travel to another location, stop here for the convenience. Otherwise, move on. read more

I use post offices in the region, and even in different parts of the state and country and this is the worst customer service ever. The manager, clerks, and everyone working there seem to detest and resent the customers. The service is terrible, the clerks are rude, and the entire staff is very angry at everyone -- including the P.O. Community Affairs office that actually provided great service and helped solve a problem that this branch refused to help me with. THIS branch is why I now have stamps.com, and my stock in that company keeps going up. Shameful that this is our tax dollars at work. I do have to commend my mail carrier, who is wonderful and helpful. Glad she is not following the lead of the branch. read more

Absolutely hands down the worst service I've ever had. I've actually called and made several complaints with the 800 number because of the staff here. I was actually called a stupid white girl by one of the ladies behind the counter. How this branch is still in business is beyond me. Now, because of my complaints. I haven't received mail in 4 days!!! It's almost like they're holding it captive. NOT to mention, everytime I bring stuff in. They literally grab a random item and say weigh it. Like, lady I've been doing this for years. I weigh my mail and pay for the correct postage. I did speak to a manager ONCE. He was terrible. His attitude is 10x worse then the ladies behind the counter. He actually told me to grow up or go some place else. They are actually representing a business and they're acting like this? Best part about this branch is it's location which is convenient for me. Other than that it's a typical post office experience. I've had trouble with the self serve station on 2 separate occasions so I would avoid that since it ends up taking longer than waiting in line. read more

10th person in line today. 20 minutes it took to get to the counter. With two people working the counter that that equates to 4 minute ticket time per guest. That's the length of a long song on the radio. One day this post office will close because ups and FedEx are more efficient and other post offices are more efficient. So when these people start to complain, somebody will have to explain to them what happened. Here it is ahead of time. I think it's in the diet. There's one lady who works hard but she will probably be passed up for promotion. Large post office too. Luckily they have never lost anything of mine yet like Shaker does. read more

It's not just this branch and the service you get there, it's the delivery workers and staff in general. Due to packages (marked online as delivered) not being at people's doors, I've video recorded a delivery worker stealing packages in order to prove to the customer service rep and managers that this was happening (he just returned the packages AND kept his job!). They deliver IF they feel like it... my neighborhood has gone a few days in a row without delivery due to lack of drivers... the girl behind the counter said it's because "a lot of workers just call off for a few days after a federal holiday". I no longer order online if the vendor ships USPS only. I don't mail packages USPS either and I pay my bills through my bank. No wonder USPS is failing and going out of business. Really really sad...I usually have good experiences here but some of the people behind the counter always seem to have an attitude like they are pissed off at the world and the customer is causing them problems based on paying to have a service done smh. Example: The other day, I was being helped by a guy. He asked the typical questions like if it was liquid, hazard, parishable, or potentially dangerous. I said there were batteries in the item and that they were inside. He proceeded to tell me they were suppose to be outside. I said no I have always been told since I come here that they need to be in the item. He came at me with an aggressive and rude tone saying something like, you can either take them out and repackage the item or not have the package sent. Highly disrespected, I wanted to just tear a new one into the guy, but a woman employee came by and heard him saying that the batteries were suppose to be outside the item and she spoke up for me saying no the batteries are always suppose to be in the item. He said when did that happen and she said it has always been like that. Feeling disgraced, he just finished the transaction, but didn't apology for his rudeness. I wanted to throw salt in his wounds cuz he made me feel like an idiot and acted like he wasn't going to ship my item if I didn't listen to him when in reality, if I had did what he said, my item would have probably not been shipped or destroyed while in their custody. Second: The mail people are awful. They have forgotten to deliver packages that clearly say through tracking that they arrived to the post office and are out for delivery. One time I had to ask a guy for my item and when he double checked he had it. Also, they are sooooo LAZY that they refuse to take mail that is left for them at the bottom of my mailbox. If it was just for a close neighbor, I would have walked it over, but it was for a completely different street. I had to write a huge sign and tape it to my mailbox, requesting that he take the letter that he misdelivered. I also had to look for him and then run out in my PJ's just to give him a box I needed sent back to a company. It had all the paid shipping labels on it and everything, but they just don't give a crap about us. Third: I missed a package being delivered to me from Amazon which needed a signature to it on Wednesday March 2nd or something like that. I got the pink slip showing that I missed them on Thursday which is lazy and weird, but that showed me I could pick my package up or have them redeliver it. So I went online and applied to have it redelivered on Friday March 4th. The Friday came and no package arrived. I called the post office and talked with a woman about how no package showed up and the mailman had just left and how I requested online for it to be redelivered. She told me it was at the office and to fill out my pink slip and leave it on the outside of my screen door and if they had a truck available, she would have them deliver it or if not, the next day they would have it delivered. Well of course, no one came the rest of Friday and when I saw the mail truck outside, on Saturday, but no one rung my door bell to get my signature, I wondered what was going on. I had to go out in my PJs to, one, have him take a box to be send back to a company because he was too lazy to take it the first time, and second, to ask about my package. He looked in his truck and said it wasn't there and apologized. I called the post office, just wanting to go pick up my package, and spoke to a man who said my package was not there and that he would call me back in five minutes. Instead of him calling back, a supervisor called back. She was supposedly the woman I had talked to on Friday and said that she spoke to my mailman who was suppose to deliver my parcel that day because she talked to him and that my parcel needed to be signed for and was not at the post office. She said I would receive my package that day and we hung up with me still not having a trusting feeling. Around 7pm, she called to see if I had received my package and the answer was a BIG FAT NO!! She said she didn't know what was going on and would call me back. Call me back pfft!! I just want my package which is a gift for my mom. If they lost it, I will be extremely mad but at least the seller got insurance on it. So today is Monday, March 7, 2016 and I will update everyone on the outcome of my package. Hell, if I didn't know any better, I bet someone stole it or he delivered it to the wrong person. They are just rude, lazy, and disrespectful. They need to learn to run a cleaner ship and get people who actually strive to do a good job in everything they do no matter if you just work for McDonalds. P.S. You should go to the Post office in Richmond Heights, across from Richmond Heights schools, on richmond road. I never thought a post office could fail me so bad. I paid to Certified my letter and it still was lost. Brought another letter and they told me that I would be contacted with a tracking number. Was not contacted. I called about not being contacted and was put on hold for forever and fed a bunch of lies. Just hoping my mail gets where it needs to. I'm sick of calling and going there. I walked into the post office 5 minutes until close, which I'm sure is frustrating for the workers, but I work, so I can't really help it. The lady behind the counter yelled "WE CLOSED!!" at me, and the guy in front of me showed her his cellphone that it was still 5 minutes until close. I told her all I needed was stamps, and she refused to serve me. She told me to go to the kiosk with a credit card. I asked if they gave out the nicer stamps for wedding invitations in the kiosks, she said no, and walked away. Extremely rude. No wonder post offices are suffering... read more

I have been to this post office twice now. On both occasions the service was subpar. This time I grabbed the wrong label, used a pen that smeared, and purchased tape when I didn't need to, all acts that you would have thought were the worst possible things I could have done based on the way the worker commented. She made it seem like any assistance beyond ringing someone out was an inconvenience. If you're anxious while in line, thinking of what they'll be annoyed with this time, you know something is wrong. I have worked in retail before, I know customer service can be stressful but small acts of kindness go a long way. I have gone to this location out of convenience, but will now go out of my way for better service. read more

I have never had so much trouble with the post. The first letter I tried to mail from a Cleveland Heights postal box never arrived at its destination. The second letter I mailed arrived at its destination 4 weeks after I dropped it off. Most troubling was that the person I mailed the letter to told me the post mark was dated THREE AND A HALF WEEKS after I had actually mailed it. (That is, I mailed it October 10 but the postmark was dated Nov 2.) This sort of incompetence can I have real consequences for people trying to pay bills on time! Awful. read more

I have never seen mail take so long to get delivered through this office. Every time i send basic things such as letters, they take upwards of two weeks to get to simple domestic destinations. My neighbor and I often receive the same pieces of mail days apart, despite them being sent on the same day from the same location. Absolutely lazy and apathetic staff. read more
