Every time it closes early, the package is not delivered to the house. If it is a small package, he will put it in the mailbox. Since 2005 we have had problems with this post office. Today, a Christmas gift for my daughter which should have been left on porch was forced into our small mail box. This is nothing new. Damaged mail, other neighbors mail, ours given to others. No matter how many times anyone in this park complains nothing is done. Just because we live in a mobile park and not a big expensive house doesn't mean we deserve this. The performance from this post office would never be tolerated at any other work place. read more

Clarks Summit post office is extremely incompetent. We have community-mailboxes, anything that can't fit in those small boxes are just left on top for anybody to come and take as they please. Mail has been getting stolen/disappearing because the lazy postal workers are unwilling to deliver the larger packages to your house. read more

Have not had mail delivered to my home or street since Wednesday the 21st of December and today is the 28th. Rotten service, obviously no pride in their work. Live in Clarks Summit and I guess the half mile to the post office is too far to get a truck here once a week. read more

Very poor service ...packages misplaced or never get here ...my mail ends up all over the place then stuck in my door by neighbors.

This post office was incredibly rude to my Mother when she attempted to send me a package overseas to St. Kitts. The service representative, Sara, was incompetent and gave her a very hard time, even though she's sent packages with ease to India through this same office. She was incredibly rude to the next customer as well. I'm so glad that our tax dollars are going to such competent people. read more

I feel the need to refute the last persons comments. First of all, postal employees are not paid by tax dollars. Second, I have been in that post office hundreds of times and I have never heard sara or any of the clerks be disrespectful or rude to anyone. They are the friendliest and most helpful to all customers. Maybe your mother wasn't communicating clearly or didn't get the answers she wanted to hear. Don't judge on hearsay. read more

It seems you cannot reliably send a package priority mail and expect delivery on time. This happened last year when I was advised to pay extra for a three day delivery which failed to happen. At that time an employee in Clarks Summit was more than rude when she told me there were no guarantees. This year I sent a prepaid box ($13.60) on December 18th which was to arrive in three days to it's destination. The box arrived on December 26th. When I complained at the Post Office in CS a very disheveled woman by the name of Rose came to the window, told me again there were no guarantees (don't advertise mail delivery for a certain time if this is not so) and had the nerve to tell me "$13.60 is not that expensive to send a package". She was smug and condescending, could not understand my ire since this must be her method of customer service. I will take my money to UPS who were fast, efficient, FRIENDLY and reliable this year. read more

The last two time I have been there I was treated poorly by a bearded employee. He was very rude and very inconsiderate to me. It seems like every time I have dealt with him he has tried to overcharge me to ship a package even after I have personally weighed the item prior to sending it. If it was up to me I would have him fired or at least be clean shaven so he would be more presentable. read more
