A few times the staff would be on their personal phone and not really paying attention. The wait is always excruciating and they never have AC or the heat on. They also have a lot more restrictions on what they do at this location, for example, they will only allow certain about packages to be scanned per a visit.

I came recently to buy some stamps (I had ordered some on their website for specialty cute stamp designs) but I wanted the $5 stamp for a SASE author swag promotion- I couldn't wait the 2 week for delivery. And since I was there, I decided to buy some more Forever stamp booklet to continue supporting our US post office. Turns out, they have limited stamp designs and didn't have the $5 stamp so, they had to count out $5 worth of postage using the forever stamps. I didn't want 10 stamps on my large envelope but had to deal with that.

On the two occasions i've come to this branch, however, i've been happily surprised by their good customer service, tidyness, and vigilance when it comes to enforcing social-distancing and mask-wearing. The clerks here are cordial and pretty efficient. There are usually 3 clerks working the windows (but i tend to go around midday). Of course you always have those nutcases who don't wear their masks properly, slow older folks, or annoying people who interrupt your time @ the window with their "quick" questions - but just make sure YOU take care of you! *Tip 1: Double-mask it (and face-shield if you're immuno-vulnerable); don't engage the crazy people; and don't be in a big hurry cuz all you'll do is stress yourself out. Both times i've had to stand in line, but was out of there within 15-35 minutes. *Tip 2: It's always a good idea to check usps.com BEFORE you go to the post office cuz you'll save yourself a LOT of time and headache if you're armed w/ information. Be smart (like me) and research beforehand so you don't get the dreaded "This is the wrong label - go fill out another one, and come back." Ain't nobody got time for that!!! So to recap: 1. Don't be a nutcase - wear a mask that covers your NOSE and MOUTH. 2. Arrive with a good attitude and INFORMED about what you need. 3. This location is severely understaffed. I've only seen one staff member at the window (all the…read moretimes I've visited) and lines are typically out the door. Also, they are too overwhelmed to follow on take away requests. My PO Box was supposed to be ready before my first visit but I've had to come back 4 times to follow-up on the request and I still don't have access. That being said, the lone staff member at the front of the house is always kind and friendly. She deserves a huge raise. I don't think I would as pleasant or even still be working there if I were her.
