If people got their packages on time the day they were delivered then I wouldn't be concerned with the prices being jacked up every year. The employees have brand new vehicles, Very good pay/benefits package and constant closures that they think they are entitled to but they do not think customers are entitled to their packages being delivered on time. As well as the fact that they refuse to keep the doors unlocked for people to get their mail, boldface lying to customers that homeless are wrecking the place. There has never been one shred of evidence to prove this, EVER. Meridian is by the warming center and they will turn people away if they are not in line at the time they want people there at the warming center in the early evening. So the homeless would use and trash the never locked meridian post office not flathead post office. I will have more sympathy and respect for where they are coming from when I get my mail on time. We don't want people working at the post offices that want to be paid but do not want to do their jobs.

Well be sure to stop at this very conveniently located post office (it's even on the right as you exit the park via West Glacier). I don't recall seeing a stamp machine, so do be aware of the lobby hours, which are Mon-Fri 8:30am - 12:30pm and 1:30pm - 4:15pm. It's not open Saturday or Sunday, so you'll have to buy stamps elsewhere, but you can still do your mailing here.

It has a post office, gas station, visitors' center and a restaurant. This road leads to the breathtaking Road to the Sun which has some sights such as the Weeping Wall which is a sheer wall of rock that has waterfalls that pretty much get one side of your car wet. These waterfalls are the result of the meltwater from the glaciers above your head. The summit of this road is Logan's Pass which is a continental divide that has a gift store and a trail that you can walk that leads up the side of a mountain. People are allowed to ski and snowboard along this trail which kind of blew my mind since we're in the middle of freaking SUMMER!!! You also get a view of the valley that Yosemite AND Yellowstone don't have anything on. You can see where the glacier came through and carved this valley. I will post pictures at a later date. I can honestly say that I don't say "holy shit" when it comes to nature, but that's what I said when I made one of our few stops along the highway. We also saw a black bear and we found him when we saw about 20 tourists on one side of the road snapping a picture of him. I was so cool!!! I will be back on another trip definitely!!!

I sent it priority and a USPS person called me and told me that the town was so small that they probably didn't have any carriers there so only PO Box's had been set up.
