Even if you need a stamp or you need to mail something simple you need to see an attendant. 2) There isn't a bin or a location where you can drop anything bigger than a letter which already has a label or stamp. So, once again you need to stay in line to see an attendant. 3) Regardless of what time of day you go, there's just one attendant on duty and a lot of people show up trying to ship something to NASA because they take forever. So the line takes a long time to move. 4) Parking is a nightmare. I saw someone getting a ticket because he did not feed the meter at 6:50pm (meters work just until 7pm) so you can see there are lots of greedy guards around. Try to do everything you can to avoid visiting this location. Bayonne is still stuck on the 80s and this USPS location is a clear example of that.

I visited this location two weeks ago where the lady stated I couldn't ship the package because the label didn't say the date of the day i'm shipping it. I never had that problem before so I drove to my bf's house so he can print the label and drove back where I ran into the USPS driver who took my package with no problem and he didn't even look at the date on the label. Today I was finally able to ship another sale I made on Poshmark on a Thursday but ran into the same annoying issue. My bf's computer broke so he couldn't print the label for me until two days later than due to Memorial Day USPS was closed on Monday so here I am, Tuesday trying to ship my package. When walking in I noticed it was the same lady as last time and knew she would give me a hard time. After waiting 15 minutes she said she can't take my package because it does not say today's date and her name will be on it once she scans it. I nicely explained to her how I don't have a printer, my printing resources are limited and how every other USPS does not give me this issue. She said no again, dismissed me, and took the next customer. I usually ship my packages by my job but since i'm currently working from home i've started to visit the post offices in Bayonne. There has been times where i've shipped packages days after the label date and never had push back so this is new for me. Poshmark gives us 7 to 10 days to ship our packages due to COVID so I wish this lady would lighten up a bit due to the circumstances. I guess i'll be visiting the post office in downtown Bayonne instead for my Poshmark packages.

Well, it would have except that the clerk is SO busy chatting about personal things to every person who she serves that it took 20 minutes to get to the front of the line (even though there were only 2 people in front of me!). She was chatting LOUDLY with a customer about what age they will each get their social security benefits, how their benefit amount is calculated, etc. I have been here many times before & It's always the same thing. The clerk almost seems like she's drunk or otherwise "altered" - her behavior is that inappropriate. I hope that someone in a management position reads this review & does something about this. I believe we DO need a downtown post office, but need more hours & definitely better staffing!

After moving over a month ago, I have yet to reliably receive any mail addressed to me. I can count one 1 hand how many pieces of mail I received, and they were all forwarded. I came in person 4 times to seek answers and I was dismissed each time with the "it should come" or "it takes time". It does not take 6 weeks for mail to arrive. Speaking to the manager has gotten me nowhere. To top it off, this appears to be a significantly understaffed post. Staff members will be called to a window around the corner from the main windows and you will wait upwards of 15-20 minutes before you get an unsatisfactory response. Never in my life have I witnessed this poor of a USPS service in my life. Understandably funding is reduced and things are hard but to dismiss the concerns of a customers is beyond.

Until one day you experience a negative situation and now you understand why there are many bad reviews. That's what happened to me this week. Although this location has bad reviews, I still come here because parking is slightly easier and I never really experience anything negative. This week I arrived 8:30am on the dot to mail some letters before going to work. According to their hours on Google, they open 8:30am. They place was dark, no lights, no staff in site. Myself and another customer waited. At 8:40am, no one was inside getting ready to open so I left as other customer continue to wait outside.

There was only one window open. The lady had an attitude even before I said hello. She answers her phone and cuts me off and doesn't even apologize or anything. When I ask her questions or ask for help the attitude grows. It gets better she starts yelling to her co-worker about god knows what. Seriously if you hate your job stay home or find a more appealing job!
