This Post Office has little respect for its neighbors of 70 years. For six days of the week, this Post Office disrupts the peace of its neighbors on N. Clinton Ave. in Bay Shore. The noise begins at 2:20 AM every morning with loud metal on metal booms from something being dropped on the steel platform. It acts as an echo chamber down the street. Between 4:00 and 4:27 AM, the second wave of booms begins. This is the definite wake up call as the noise just becomes relentlessly more consistent. Imagine a cherry bomb being set off outside your bedroom window every night. Calls to the 1-800 number, and the Bay Shore post master fall on deaf ears. Maybe this review will help. This post office is the best! When crowded they are efficient. Nicole is very helpful she guides you honestly and provides the best advice. I requested guidance regarding various shipping options regarding overnight or priority shipping and she provided the most efficient cost effective choice. Service is optimal I prefer this post office location over any other. read more

Horrible service I sent out a package to my mortgage company with closing documents. I expressed mail them over 12 days ago and the tracking keeps saying its stuck in Jamaica. What's worst is that you cannot get anyone on the phone. They do not answer and when you go in person, they tell you file a claim. I filed a claim and even the person in Ohio working on the claim cannot give get in touch with any of the offices. Very bad service. I'm going to the press with this. read more

A bunch of thieves work here. In March 9, they reported that a package was delivered. I have Ring doorbell and no delivery was recorded that day. I reported it to the Post Master, who was supposed to call me back- that never happened. A few months before that, we were handed a damaged package from the PBA inside a clear plastic bag, which the mail carrier said he put it in. ALL OF MY HUSBAND's PBA cards were stolen. Again, we were told that there would be an investigation and someone would call us back. The USPS is nothing but a bunch of bad liars!!!!! I'm sick of it!!!!! August 9th they claimed to have attempted delivery on a package when WE WERE HOME!!!! They also claimed to have left a note that they attempted delivery. LIES, LIES, LIES!!!!!!!!! read more

I went there today and this guy at the front counter named Frank was probably the rudest person I ever met in my life. With everything going on this lady needed tape to send something and he said no I don't have tape which is a lie he didn't want to give free tape and got nasty about it the lady was elderly. You guys really charge for 6 inches of tape of really. When I can't make it to Brentwood, Bay Shore is always my savior! I can't express enough that Rich and Bill are seriously the best employees. I can squeeze in the door at 5:28pm (knowing it's closes at 5:30) and they will still receive me with a smile, willing to go above and beyond for me. I never leave a review but tonight I just had to because they were simply amazing (as always). Bay Shore/ their Postmasters should be super grateful to have employees like them. I wish I could give more stars!! You won't be disappointed in either locations, whether it's Rich, Bill at Bayshore or Paula, Natalina, Ms.B (I think Bernice) Ms. Rodriguez and or Renee they are all so helpful. I brought in five different sized small boxes that I had pre-purchased shipping labels for at home. I had confided in the male clerk at the counter that I was new at shipping and hoped that I had done it all correctly. This seemed to anger him and he said, "New at this??????" Well, one of the labels was printed two days ago and if your buyer thinks you shipped it then, she will blame the post office, not you because she'll want to do more business with you". He went on to say, "If you do this again, they won't let you print your own labels and you'll have to come here every time". All I did was thank him for sharing his expertise and couldn't wait to get out of there. Later on in the day, I double checked the date that I printed the label and it was on a Sunday and the next day was a holiday, so the soonest I could get it shipped was the day I brought in the package. Sorry this is so long winded but why was he so hostile towards me? People who work with the public should at the very least be civil. It is a shame. read more

I called the post office because I have been waiting for a package which 4 days past the delivery date now and no-one can tell me when I will receive it. When I placed my order for this birthday gift I chose the priority shipping rate because I wanted to have it delivered as close to my friends birthday as possible. I was notified that the order would be here Monday - never showed, then Tuesday- never showed. I'm being very patient because during these crazy time I know it's difficult for the post office. Now comes Wednesday- and after seeing it's FINALLY out for delivery and waiting all day, I get a notification that the package was unable to be delivered and will be sent out again the following day (Thursday). Today is Thursday and Ive been starting out the window waiting for the mail truck. I just received a message that it was unable to be delivered again. Meanwhile I haven't even gotten any mail yet. I've had enough of the back and forth so I called the post office to have more of an understanding of what's going on. I spoke to "Keith" who is apparently a supervisor there and I can't even begin to say how rude and unhelpful he was. I explained I paid extra for quicker delivery and he told me "Well, you only paid for priority shipping what do you expect I can't guarantee anything." I then asked why they are saying it's unable to be delivered. He said "well yesterday it went out on the wrong truck and today I only sent out 10 truck so I don't know what to tell you, maybe tomorrow who knows." I really can't believe the lack of customer service, from a supervisor of all people. I asked if there was anyone I could speak to and he said to call the 800 number and wouldn't give me a full name to report. He was so rude I still am in such shock. Happy holidays "Keith". read more

Disgusted! Wheres my mail? Where's my package? My package was lost/ stolen from the post office. It didn't even make it to my door. Was loaded on their delivery truck and they took it home. Tracked it for two weeks. The Gentleman I spoke with on the phone was actually very nice even though he said he would call me back he didn't I had to keep calling back. You could hear it in his voice that he was confused as well and an internal investigation needs to happen ASAP! This has been such a huge inconvenience. Half the time I don't even get my regular mail, and now i have to did with this. read more

Worst post office ever as far as mail delivery! Every other day I get the wrong mail. Or no mail. I put my mail on hold numerous times while away and it still gets delivered. I even called the 800 number to make sure I was doing it correctly online. I had to call the 800 # because they never answer the phone at the actual post office. As someone else wrote, it just rings and rings. Today I got the wrong mail because my mailman was texting while he was delivering it! They have updated tracking saying they have delivered the package when they didn't. This post office is a horror show. read more

Worse post office on the island! They are constantly losing my mail and when you try to call they let it ring and ring and ring and I have even had someone pick up and hang up, I guess the ringing was bothering them. I had a package supposed to be delivered on the 7th of June, today is the 13th and informed delivery offers no help and says a redelivery was scheduled. Really terrible customer service. read more
