She made a comment to the other employee Steve about it not needing a box. Steve exploded! He said he would have charged me for a box! I was confused, I asked him why would we charge me even though it says I don't need a box. He said bc of the length. Blasphemous customer service. I had sent in a colleague to pick up my order for my business. The email states "if you are picking up the package and are not the addressee, you will also be required to provide the tracking number". Which is what I had intended they were going to request - given the CLEAR WORDING IN THE EMAIL. My colleague said they refused to let him pickup with the confirmation email and tracking number. I called the store to read the email to them because it specifically says to provide tracking number if you are not the addressee. Upon calling, I got the nastiest, most miserable "store owner" I have ever exchanged words with. He sounded like he was a drunk uncle the way he was raising his voice. He spoke to me like I was a toddler, or like a pet. Making me feel stupid and like I don't understand English. The second guy was nicer, as he said they are just following the policy. I'm literally afraid to go in the store to pick up because he might spit at me or throw a beer bottle at me. Horrendous and terrified for the rest of the day. I literally want to re-order my whole order and set it to a different pickup location. I'm mortified. read more

I am absolutely disgusted with this location and its owner, Steve. I shipped a package at this store on 1/2/2025 that has not tracked since (12 days since at the time of this review)- they were the first and last scan and I have a receipt to prove that. In an attempt to see if perhaps my package was in-store with a ripped label, or otherwise misplaced, I went in to speak with the staff there. The man who identified himself as the owner, Steve, is physically and mentally disabled and wholly unequipped to deal with customers. He was completely out of line, unprofessional, and his behavior was purely unhinged. During my visit, I was berated and screamed at by the owner in front of other customers and store employees. What made the situation worse was the owner's physically threatening demeanor, which left me feeling not only disrespected but also unsafe. This type of behavior is shocking, especially from someone in a customer service role. He told me my package "was only a $0.99 package" to him, meaning his commission for having accepted the shipment. He mocked me while gesturing at the back of the store while screaming, "do you want to look for it?" The owner also said the package THEY lost was not his problem, and that I better not mention to UPS corporate the value of the package ($5,000) because he did not want to have to pay out my lost package claim. They LOST my valuable package and once confronted failed to exercise empathy or even demonstrate a sliver of dignity while dealing with a frequent customer. I have never encountered such unprofessional conduct at any business, and I am appalled that this individual represents the UPS brand. This store should have their franchise license pulled. The owner needs to reevaluate how he treats customers because no one should have to endure this kind of hostility. I strongly encourage others to take their business elsewhere. read more

The guy (Steve or Brian I believe?) refused to print my label cause I did it third party and complained that I "always come in with my own labels and it's the slap on the face" like are you the CEO? Are you getting commission? You want ME to spend double on a label just so you'll personally feel better? Just a nonsensical joke. Other employees were scared of him and refused to help me instead. They Stole an item from my package and told me I had to contact Mercari to deal with the situation when it was their fault

October 20, 2020 had 3 sets of passport photos taken at this location. Amount for 3 sets was $58.63. Passport application at Lindenhurst Post office on Hoffman Avenue said photos taken at UPS store was unacceptable due to size of photo being too small. The cost to retake photo at PO was $15 pp. I went to UPS store on 11/10/20 to let them know photos were too small & unacceptable at PO. I requested a full refund which Steven denied. Extremely incompetent. Due to the fact that he would not refund me, I am currently filing a dispute with my credit card company for refund. Get passport photos done at your local post office & NEVER use UPS STORE. Terrible communication skills and repetitive arguing. Very disappointed with the business style. read more

I was shocked .... shocked at the rudeness of one of the UPS workers , the huge heavy dark-haired young man. Two weeks ago , I paid over $200 to ship a package to San Francisco . It was a birthday gift with a lot of small packages . When I asked if I could please see the shipping box , he pushed me off on another worker : " I don't have time for this idiot ". I had not been impolite whatsoever. I am elderly and very small and I was frightened of this person . I just wanted to place things so that nothing was broken and that the pretty wrapping paper would not rip . Now , I have no idea how those things were packed and I paid so much money . I was the unfortunate recipient of a double-billed, double-dispatched Overstock order, part of which was WAY too big to manage and also required printing (I don't have access to a printer) and we weren't able to reclose the box. It took me forever to get to the UPS Store because there were so many things I had to figure out. When I called, one of the guys who was always there explained to just bring in the label on my phone and they could print it. When I got there, the other guy who is always there COMPLETELY HANDLED my uncloseable box. This was an expensive item and I was so stressed out about getting it back to Overstock and I couldn't carry it myself and he just did it. In like, two minutes. I will definitely stop being afraid of returns, because the service is so fast and affordable. I wanted to review because other people might be flustered by a return with a million steps. They broke the item and refused to give money for the damages, unless I gave them the item. Don't have these people package your items and do not get insurance. I had a horrible experience at this UPS store in Babylon on Railroad Avenue. One of the male staff members was very, very rude to me and was annoyed that I asked if he could re-tape my boxes with one more piece of tape so it would be more secure, as the UPS staff at other locations normally does this without me even asking. He said to me rudely "maybe you want to think about buying a roll of tape next time?!" When I replied "oh normally this is what they do at other locations", he wouldn't even let me finish my sentence and said "OK then, that's a no"! I will NEVER go back to this location! read more

Came in today during a pandemic with 3 returns to amazon. A very grumpy heavyset man took one look at one of my UPS delivered packages (which was 2 bicycle tires) and said we can't accept that here. He took my other 2 packages while saying this and I explained that I did not open the package from the UPS driver just put the return label over the existing one that was delivered to my home. He was beyond rude and condescending. He Told me to drive 20 minutes to a farmingdale location which I am not doing during this crisis for obvious reasons. I use Amazon, Fed EX and UPS on a weekly basis and never have issues! This exact associate gave me a problem in another location next to Ocean State a year ago about an amazon envelope that he would not take, which was also delivered by UPS. He Made me purchase an inferior envelope through him. He has no business taking to people in the way that he does like a tough guy with a chip on his shoulder. Im a business professional and deal with people day in and out and never have problems like this. Best UPS store I've been to. Convenient to Babylon train station. I had to send back a return to Amazon, and of course had already recycled the box. So, I had to pop in to this store. The gentleman who took care of me was very nice. It was $2 for said box, and he even packaged it for me, said for me not to worry and he'd take care of it. Awesome! After a man/boy that I could hardly understand told me my face covering wasn't up to his standard he continued to be rude and then refused to give me my package. I used this Babylon location to take my Passport photo 4 months in advance of my trip purposely to avoid paying any extra fees. I received a letter from US Department of State Passport Center letting me know that the photograph taken can not be used because he image size was not to regulation and there were facial shadows. Now since my trip is a month away, I was told I need to take another photo and pay $77.56 in expediting fees. When I called and spoke to the owner he was willing to take the picture again at no cost, however refused to acknowledge his part resulting in the extra fees. It is unprofessional and unethical to provide a service without knowing the specifications. He was adamant that he was not responsible and that the extra cost was mine. read more

I walked in here earlier today. I had to send out some late Christmas presents. The sales lady was very helpful. I needed the presents boxed up because I didn't have a boxes for them. The only thing I had to do was tell her which items were for which location and fill out a form. I got the zip code wrong for Delaware and she was very nice about not condescending. When I called said they can't help with delivery and gave me 800 number to call. Was told due to COVID cannot guarantee. OK so why are you still charging premium charges.
