This location is hidden from the main road but has a massive parking lot to allow a rush. It is very clean. The employee I interacted with was very nice. There is a good number of available mailboxes and they are all in good condition. The stations with materials were clean, but some needed restocking. This location even still has a drive thru mail drop-off. read more

The mailboxes at my apartment were recently broken into, and it's going to be a while before the unit of 20+ boxes is replaced. Meanwhile, our mail is being held at the big post office on Cross Park Drive. And I do not want to be driving over there every week to pick up mail. So I figured I'd get a PO box near where I work. I've only been to this location once before, when half the world was still shut down by Covid. At that time I needed to send a package as fast as possible, and three lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. This time I just went in with the paperwork for a post office box, and they got me taken care of right away. Sheree was at the counter, and she was just as nice as could be. I now stop in once a week to get my mail, and all is going well. read more

I've been here 3 times now and Lorraine (hopefully I spelled her name right) has helped me this past two times. She's knowledgeable, compassionate, patient and has her eyes on every customer. I remember I had to mail out a document two months ago to Taiwan so she made sure I had all the information I needed to decide whether I wanted to spend $80 for it to arrive in 1-3 business days or $45 to arrive in 3-5 business days. The document was urgent but not urgent enough for me to spend $80 so I chose the second option. If I were to just say it's urgent and was given no choice or explanation, I would have spent that $80. Two days ago, I brought in a bag of unwrapped gifts that needed to be shipped to my best friend in South Korea. I went there in a rush without preparing a mailing box or tape. I chose a box but had to wait in line to buy tape. Lorraine looked at me, at the time she seemed like just making sure every customer was okay, and I decided to just quickly shout out "here to buy tape"! She looked at the box I was using and told me there's tape on the box! I looked and found that it was true, what a surprise. I was able to get the box taped up while in line and felt prepared. Later, Jigar(?) helped with the actual shipping process and took good care of me too. This is a trustworthy USPS location to visit if you need mailing/shipping services. read more

Extremely bad service. Absolutely fucking terrible. Avoid this post office - drive to another one, unless you feel like being personally disrespected. I've lived in this neighborhood for five years. I don't mail packages too often. But when I do, I dread coming here because the counter ladies, without exception, treat you like absolute fucking garbage. I'm apologetic when I come up to the counter, like I'm inconveniencing them, because they've trained me like Pavlov's dog. Lady at the counter's gaze is akin to piercing daggers. Like you just shot their children. Like you spit on their face. Like you forced them to consume their own feces. Ignore you when you're waiting in line to look at their phones. Get snappy whenever you don't have your package perfectly prepared. Whatever. I'm used to it. but something today really upset me. Big black lady today was shouting at an old couple. I usually go to this Northcross station about twice a month, usually to mail stuff that I'm selling on eBay. For the past 6 months, every time I go, there are usually about 15 people ahead of me in line, and only 1 person at the counter. My usual wait time in line is 20-30 minutes, which is ridiculous. Today, 2/15/22, I arrived at this USPS station at 10am to see a hand-written sign on the door: "Closed due to technical difficulties." WTF? A United States Post Office that can't function during weekday business hours? Get your S*** together---seriously. read more

Who writes a review for a post office? THIS GUY DOES. This is actually a really nice US Post Office. They have a TON of parking, it's located in a neighborhood on a very quiet street. There is rarely long lines except during holiday season, and the staff is actually fairly pleasant, which is RARE for the US Post Office. I have a PO Box here which is such a nice convenience, is incredibly cheap, and even sends me email alerts so I know when I need to go check my box and don't waste a trip for zero mail. Biggest pet peeve with these places is they never have pens for you to fill out the forms THEY REQUIRE. It's like asking me to pay with my credit card but then not having a machine that accepts credit cards. Be better, USPS, but this location really ain't bad for y'all! read more

I found this place about a year ago and had a stellar experience. I have been back twice in the past month and had TERRIBLE experiences, both times, same guy that looks vaguely like Moby 'helping' me. I was told to fill out a form and I would be 'next' instead he ignored me and took a couple more people then threw up his "I'm out to lunch" sign or whatever and walked off and motioned to the woman who had just come on and said that she would help me. That lady told me that I could have saved money if I had used a different box etc etc but since I had already been there for forty minutes I ate the almost $10 difference and scurried back to work. So I returned hoping to see the same woman again because she was helpful. No, I get THAT dude again. He did the same thing! Pushes me off to the side and tells me I'm next, helps others and leaves. I spent another almost entire lunch hour at the post office, literally just standing there. I was more pissed leaving that place than I have been in eons. Mind you there was also someone else working there that saw the whole thing but couldn't be bothered to just take care of me. I work for a retail shop open from 10am to 6pm. It's in a small strip center with six other shops. This post office refuses to deliver packages during business hours. The added hassle this causes us would be enough for a negative review. Yet I held off. We recently were shipped an item that was never received. The postal person left the usual "unable to deliver" pink slip that we are all too familiar with. When our owner went to pick up the item, it could not be found. Postal workers were searching the place to no avail. Meanwhile, it had been marked as delivered. Could they have gone beyond the call, and actually delivered during business hours? Nope. It was not. I have been there in the past and had a totally different experience. If you don't like your job, I would take you day off the look for another one. The worst post office I've ever dealt with in my life! In the short 6 weeks that I have lived in crestview, the mailman has not picked up my outgoing mail on more than two separate occasions now! The 1st time I drove to the post office and got a BS excuse! The second time I called, and got the same lame excuses. This is unacceptable! I have been attending this post office on a regular basis for a while now and have received nothing but the best customer service anyone could ask for. Lin in particular has gone above and beyond on numerous occasions for me. It's very clear that she is not only knowledgeable, but genuinely cares. As someone who has a business that relies heavily on the postal service, this is very re-assuring and it is the reason I go to this post office almost exclusively. Our condo complex has cluster post boxes. One cluster was damaged and became unusable in mid-May. After 3 MONTHS, it still has not been fixed, and several households must still pick up their mail at the post office. 3 months. Really?? read more

I sent a Priority package to my kid who just moved to this area. I tracked the box and saw it delivered right on time. My kid lives in the area where mailboxes are secured and big packages will leave it a secured container and mailman supposedly leave the key in the private box so customer can access to the package. Well, that didn't happen. I tried to call that the post office about 10 times so far and always go to the Operator and get disconnected after 10 rings. The physical value of the package is minimal. The damage is information in the package that is my concern. My kid left a note for the mailman but got no answer. Is USPS service in Austin area not trustworthy? I heard a lot about USPS business went down significantly and can see why. read more

If you can, avoid this post office. It was like stepping into a dystopian tv show (think Severance). Junus' post below was very affirming since I had a very odd, similar experience with some random button. I came here to pick up an oversized package that they were unable to deliver. I got in the same line everyone else was in, but kept noticing that people coming in after me were just going up right to the counter and getting helped. Eventually they called the woman in front of me and I moved forward in line behind her and before helping her the USPS worker pointed at me and was like "you need to get back in line" and I was like "I thought I was in line" and she was like "no, to the back. I'll call you when I'm ready for you. We're doing one at a time." So I went to the back of the line and they helped two other women who came in after me so I figured it was my turn so I went up next and this other employee tells me to get to the back of the line again and I just said "I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do here" and then she points to all these random buttons on the wall next to the counter that I have no clue what they do and she's like "push that" so I just randomly picked one (there were like 5 or so buttons?) and then she told me to get back to the back of the line again. After about 7 people who came in after me are helped, they call me and then I explain that I'm there to pick up a package and the lady says "you're in the wrong place" and so I asked where I should go and she pointed to a back corner where there isn't a counter or employee or anything...just like a corner. PLEASE PUT SIGNS IN THIS PLACE (there are no signs). Anyway she gets my package and puts it on the counter and it's huge so I put my hands on it to steady it and she snaps "I haven't given you your package yet" and so I took my hands off. It's literally a box for shipping large artwork, I'm not trying to steal my own package! Both employees were very rude and made me feel very uncomfortable and so confused. read more

I'm used to UPS, where they put their own labels on shipments. Typically I'll walk in with the destination address on my phone, the clerk will then copy it down, print it up, and stick it in the box. Unfortunately, UPS is very expensive. So today I decided to use the USPS. I walked up to the counter with my package and explained that I wasn't sure if I needed to fill anything out in advance, but I needed to ship this package. The clerk immediately seemed annoyed. Here at USPS, we do not (underlined twice) label packages for you. Ok, fine, rookie mistake, but I still need this shipped, so what do I do? She offered me about 5 different options for getting my package labeled, all the while making it clear that I was profoundly stupid for not having this procedure memorized before I entered the premises. She also made sure I knew that "This is not UPS." Totally unnecessary and not appreciated. I suppose it's still worth going there, because the shipping costs were like half of what I expected to pay at UPS. So I'll be back, but in the future I will make absolutely certain to correctly follow all procedures so I don't have to incur the sarcastic wrath of the grumpy clerk who just wishes every customer was an experienced customer. read more

It amazes me the speed at which these people move - I have never seen anything like it in my life. Seriously, I mean I couldn't move that slow if I was 99 years old, in a body cast, and sleepwalking. I am in amazement watching the people that work here and how they put up their "on break" signs regardless of the fact that there are tons of people waiting. My nerve was worked to the point of whoop ass when one of the employees told an older man (who obviously was confused and couldn't see or hear well) to "look at the sign" when he asked where he was supposed to put something. I wanted to say "listen you postal fucker, the customer that you are currently blessing with your shitty attitude is standing in front of the sign that you expect this man to see." Like it's some god damn effort to answer a question. Seriously, these people ought to be ashamed of themselves. I went to this post office today, to mail a couple of certified letters. The line was very long, because there was only one clerk at the front, all by herself. Since it's holiday season, everyone was there with a ton of stuff. Well, this clerk, I think her name was Brenda, did an amazing job!! I was in line an hour, watching her handle every single customer with grace and professionalism. I wasn't the only one in line who was impressed. I'm giving this place four stars because they need to hire more clerks immediately so that the wait won't be so long. Also, for heaven's sake, give that women a raise! read more

This is a gem of a post office if there is such a thing! I didn't even know this post office existed until my husband suggested I go here today because our regular post office (N. Lamar and 36th-ish) has been super busy and understaffed the past two days. There were two people working behind the counter and there was no line. I walked right up and asked the employee to price out some packaging/mailing options for me on a couple of gifts I needed to mail. Because there was still no one in line behind me, I was able to prepare my packages while standing at the counter and chatting with the employee. He was very helpful and nice to talk with. These people are complete imbeciles. I overnighted a package and one of the workers stated that if my package wasn't delivered by the time promised that one minute after that time I can come get my money back. It has been two days now, the recipient hasn't received the package, and I'm back trying to get my refund and for them to find my package. Now they are telling me I can't get a refund until the delivery scan pops up, but it's already been two days. What if you lost my package? Well you still need to come back in a period of time. SERIOUSLY?! Now I am waiting for the supervisor who is conveniently on the phone. This place is complete BS and so is the USPS system in general. read more

I hate to write a negative review, but 2 employees were just awful to me just today. I was minding my own business, bought postage for a flat rate envelope. I needed to handwrite something extra on the preprinted label. I didn't have a pen, so I went looking for one. I spied a pen on a counter, which happened to be at the end of the line of customers. I wasn't in line, I was looking for a pen. The female employee points at me and says, "Hey lady in the black sweater. We close at 5:00. You can't be in line." I explained I was using a pen. THEN, a male employee comes out of a door to tell me I can't be in line. I told him I wasn't, I was just using a pen. Were these people not taught to say to a customer "May I help you?" Jeez. I will not use this PO branch again. I see why Fedex and UPS are putting USPS out of business. read more

Let me start by saying that I have been coming to this post office since January every other week or so. I have never had issues until today. I work for a company nearby so it's very convenient to come to this location. We mail out promotional pieces to customers and prospects. They are prepackaged in a box that weighs just over 13oz, so they each have to be processed individually. I generally have between 20-30 of these to mail out. For international pieces I fill out the customs form ahead of time so everything to be done is on the post office's end. The process is fairly quick considering the amount. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to run all the boxes through. Today, I came in with 24 boxes. I waited in line for about 10 minutes and was TURNED DOWN when my turn came. Because I had "too many" boxes. The guy told me he could only process 2-3. SO HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO MAIL THESE??? I took time out of my busy work schedule to get these sent off. So now I have to drive quite a ways to go to another post office. They generally have 3-4 people working up front, but today they only had one. This is not my fault. It's unfortunate for me now, because of the inconvenience, and for the post office because they will no longer have my business. I will never come back to this location. read more

The people at this post offce went out of their way to be helpful to me not once but twice. I had a package on its way and had to leave town and they checked its location and gave me advice on how to ensure its delivery AND on a different occasion, scrounged around back and found a Priority box for me to mail something that HAD to go out right then. I have used this branch on several business trips and found it to be convenient to where I like to stay in Austin, and they had one of those self serve mailing center machines. Those aren't that easy to find, and for some reason don't seem to be listed in the online information on the branches. I like this branch and hope I stay nearby again so I don't have to search for one of those mailing centers. It was clean and they cheerfully showed me their commemorative stamps too! I feel bad for my carrier because she works out of this location. My carrier is absolutely wonderful and I wish I could give her a review that would matter to her employer. This review is, however, not for my carrier. Obviously. I have no idea how many times the other reviewers giving high ratings have had to come into this place, but it surely can't have been very many. The people working these counters absolutely do not have a single care in the universe, and you'll be waiting ages for something as simple as a package pickup. If you have any simple and concise questions, you will get enormously stupid and nebulous "answers" from these postal employees. Every time. By the way, no matter what the sign on the "quick pickup" door says, there is NEVER anyone actually back there willing to answer your knocks and the doorbell DOES NOT WORK, no matter what the self-loathing worthless douchers behind the counter says. And the people living in the neighborhood seem to be friendly, as the other customers sharing my torture in the lines here always at least seem to be nice to me and each other. read more

Since mid-December 2017 I've not been receiving my mail through this post office. They told me that a mail carrier had decided I must have moved since there was remodeling going on. I've tried at least 3 times in person to get this corrected and receive my mail, to no effect. If only there were an alternative to using USPS for regular mail. This must be one of the most poorly managed P.O.s in the country. My neighbor had put his mail on hold, and had to go in twice to get it cancelled, since they didn't actually cancel the hold after his first try. read more

Wow. I had a total and complete failure at this USPS location back in December. I went in to retrieve a package that I knew would be too big for my PO Box. The desk worker went in the back to get it. Imagine my surprise when she returned with a bin FILLED with mail---some of it dating back well over a year, to August, 2017. The most hilarious part? The notice that I had overflow mail was in that bin...not in my mailbox!!! Who does that? The Northcross USPS branch, that's who. This stupidity cost me dearly. I lost out on a job because of it. I found the social security card that I'd ordered in the overflow bin. The manager at the job I was in line for straight-up told me, "There's been more than enough time for your social security card to arrive. If you can't take care of something this simple, I really can't hire you." There was a way overdue red light camera ticket in the bin. I had no clue I'd been ticketed. Thank goodness it did not go to warrant. There was an amazing offer for freeplay at a Louisiana casino in that bin. I happened to be in Louisiana at the time and surely would've taken advantage of that offer. And so on and so on. Think about all the mail you've received received in the past 15 months. Would you have wanted to receive all of it? Yeah. Me, too. An incident like this does nothing to dispel the notion that postal employees are not the best or the brightest. read more

Don't even try to call and ask these people for help, you will be put on hold for an undetermined about of time, and they are rude, unhelpful, and really crappy at customer service.
