Can I give it zero stars? I have never had a worse experience with a post office. The office itself is understaffed and overheated. The clerks for the most part are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately this is also the office they deliver my mail from. They refuse to redeliver items that require signatures. I stopped by this USPS to mail some postcards. It was pretty empty around 10:30 AM on a Friday morning, and there was plenty of free parking available right in front, which was super convenient. Even though it wasn't busy, it still took about 5 minutes for it to be my turn. When I got to the counter, I was surprised to learn that they had run out of postcard stamps (didn't know that was a thing!), so I had to pay a bit more than I had expected. That said, the person who helped me was nice and straightforward, which made the experience smooth despite the minor hiccup. If you're mailing postcards, maybe call ahead to check on the stamp situation, but overall, this post office was a decent experience. read more

Came to this location to get new keys for our HOA USPS mailbox. This is a busy post office. One gal was at the counter and was helpful and friendly. Another gal came to start helping us in line. Employee with purple hair & glasses was very irritated I asked for a strip of tape to seal paper envelope I was paying to ship out... literally maybe 6 inches or less. She told me I could buy my own & she wasn't not going to "buy more tape." I guess USPS makes employees buy their own tape for work? I'm not sure. I've never had this experience at a USPS or any shipping business. I honestly think she was irritated it was 5pm & there was still a long line. I get it, but I waited patiently like everyone else in a long line & I would also like to be on my way home after a long day at work too. One package, 1 QR code to scan, 2 minutes was all it took. Not sure why she had so much attitude... I even tried to say "oh I didn't realize you guys had to buy your own tape" sort of confused... I mean why would I? It's a shipping place I'm paying services for & like I said, I've never experienced an employee get wound up over tape, 6 inches of tape. Last Wednesday I found it Thursday am and this week I just saw it. Also they gave my mail to someone walking into my home....not a resident in the home but a person parking on the street and walking towards my home :/ I'm confused. So I've been going here for a few months to get my mail since the neighborhood mailbox clusters are getting replaced and updated. They have always been pretty efficient and polite. They always have all of the mail held and I haven't missed anything. Make sure if you're picking up to stand in the line at the right, its a separate one and you can skip the main line. Dont get a po box at this location. They delay your mail and dont put packages in lockers like the other post offices. They are rude and have recently reduced hours to only regular business hours so if you cant get there before 5pm on a weekday you cant get packages. The employees are rude and have nasty attitudes. They almost made me miss a package or lose it entirely because they are disorganized and lazy. The photos show what they do when you get a package. The other day it showed i had 2 delivered one day and one another day and the lady tried to tell me there were only 2 and it was a mistake. the austin post office at 8225 cross park drive does not care about your mail. it usually takes them 3 to 4 days, from monday through saturday (minus federal holidays) to deliver your item(s), unless you live near them in austin. i would have given them a negative 5 stars if i could. i have tried the bbb, better business bureau, but i don't know if that will work or not. the slow delivery is killing my business and i have lost 6 customers because they are slow, slow, slow. i am going to switch to other delivery companies. my business can't take much more of this lateness. i live 65 miles from them and they send my mail to my post office that is 70 miles away in kempner, texas 76539, "daily", monday through saturday (except federal holidays) and once again it takes my package(s) 3 to 4 days once they "receive it" to make it to the kempner, texas 76539 post office. just read the reviews about this place. i guess when i lose my business i'll probably be living under the bridge where i will either expire from a heat stroke or freeze until i expire. there is more to come about the post offices in austin and other places in the united states. i definately am not done yet. read more

I was told my mail was here and I had to pick it up within 3 days. Then when I come in to get it they can't find it and they tell me they "think" it's out on the truck being delivered today. You don't know? Almost everyone I had to interact with has been so rude. They cut me off when I'm speaking and literally talked bad about me to their coworkers while they are out front and I'm standing right there and I can hear them. I even overheard the manager telling another woman "too bad" at one point. It just sucks that there is no accountability for those kinds of actions and the way they speak to people. This place is just sad. My husband and I just moved to the Austin area less than a month ago. The address that we are having all our mail sent to is my husband's place of business. I had ordered for a package be sent to that address twice in the past month, and each time the carrier has not delivered it. (which is ridiculous because my husband receives packages there all the time at that same address). Yesterday evening they attempted to deliver our package, but they were unable to and now they are sending it back to the sender. If for some reason the package didn't fit in the mailbox, the carrier should've tried to hand it over to the front desk person (who is a mere few steps away). But nope. No efforts there, I mean it's not like it's his job to actually deliver packages, right? I woke up today and the first thing I did was try to call their 512-419-7504 number in an attempt intervene before the package was on its way back to the sender. I must've tried on and off for over 1 HOUR! NO ONE PICKS UP THE PHONE THERE! Ever! I mean, why even have a phone number??? So I picked up my purse and drove as fast as I could to get there. Upon my arrival, I quickly learned that their customer service is non-existent to say the least. They "tried" to look for my package, but to no avail. They said that they would let the carrier know and took down my number and would call me if there were any updates. Pathetic. After reading the reviews, I feel very sad and empathize for the people whose addresses fall under this post office's delivery area. These people do not care for your packages or mail. Period. It is already stressful moving across the country to a new state, but not having a reliable way to get your mail is just beyond frustrating. read more

First time at this post office. I went in today for my passport appointment and Molly was so sweet and helpful throughout the whole process! It was really great to have someone as attentive as her. My other replacement never came in the mail and I had to pay for the whole thing again. Then I went to 3 different Walgreens to have my photo taken and turns out none of them had a camera...‍ So with that being said...a huge thank you to Molly for making this a smooth and quick transaction. read more
