i'm here at 2:50 PM on a Tuesday and I'm not understanding why it's closed and there's no notes on the door stating why it's just locked with no one there so unprofessional and ghetto. read more

Went at 2pm as patrons were walking away because the doors were locked. I got lucky and someone unlocked the door and opened up. They do not follow the posted hours (which include closing for lunch) and it is a crap shoot whether or not this location will open when you go. Not to mention the lack of friendliness. Looking at the previous reviews this is a chronic problem with no intention for improvement. read more

I have never seen such poor operations at a post office. This may be a reason why the next closest branch employs so many and still seems beleaguered. I will absolutely avoid the Moreland Little 5 Points branch in future. It was a waste of time. I waited for 5 minutes with no sign of a clerk at the desk, after which she barely communicated or made eye contact. Negative stars Yelp. read more

NORA SMITH is a very rude. From the moment I walked in the post office I noticed her bad energy and her attitude. She stated that she was jot a normal employee of that particular location and she declined to give me the phone number to the post master general. read more

I have a business post office box at this location and they are the WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!!!! It is not unusual for them to just close in the middle of the business day, even when they are supposed to be open. I just went to pick up my mail at 3 pm on a Friday and they were closed. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!! read more

if i could give this location a negative rating i would! never open on time in the morning or even after lunch! if you looking for a good location with great staff go somewhere else!! read more

US Post Office - It's says will return in 30 minutes but from what time?!?! - Post Offices Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I walked in at 3:32pm. 12. 20. 2022 It was about 5 people in line I was trying to drop something off. This stupid lady yelled Ma'am I'm not taking anyone else. It's like well lock the damn door. You just make up your rules. I'm sorry it's understaffed.. RUDE *itch. I work with the public , I could never do this!! read more

My most recent experience here was just terrible. I needed to ship a package to a friend and I had everything boxed up and ready to go and I also had my shipping slip printed out for the top of the box. I walked up to the counter and the woman was clearly not interested. I placed my box on the counter with the slip and mentioned I needed to ship a package. Her immediate response: "You have tape?" Me: I beg your pardon? Her: You have to have your own tape. Me: To tape this on top of the box? Her: Yes. Me: So I have to either have it taped on top of the box or buy tape in order for you to ship my package. Her: Yes (stone-cold stoic face) Me: WOW. I've never experienced that. (Reluctantly purchased tap, taped my slip on top of my box, and walked out fuming) I couldn't believe it. Not a single care in the world of what I was doing, how my day was, where my package was going, etc. Nope. Just "buy your own tape," like I was interrupting the USPS doctrine of shipping practices. Last time I ever come to this location. Oh, and don't forget your own tape, friends. It's written in stone somewhere. read more

Absolutely horrible. I actually had mailed out a package from there and all the things that I had put in my package did not arrive to the person they were being delivered to. There were things missing from the package which means it was opened and stolen. The person whom I sent it to said there was tons of clear tape wrapped around it which means it was in fact opened. Not only is that absolutely ridiculous and extremely upsetting but that's illegal. It's my own fault for not saving the receipt. They're disorganized, incompetent, have no idea whats going on...DO NOT GO. There are plenty of other post offices in Atlanta that are way better. These guys unfortunately to put it nicely.....really SUCK. read more

The women working the window today was so incredibly rude and unhelpful it was shocking...

Guy at the counter is completely condescending, talking down to me like I don't know how to write an address. Not to mention the 10 mins I waited in line while he chatted with another postal worker. I don't expect any post office to be excellent, but this one is beyond subpar. read more

This location is so close to my house but it is so run down and crappy. 9/10 when you come they will have a lunch break sign up no matter what time it is . I have come in the morning and still seen the sign, not sure what's going on ! read more

This is my local post office and while I'm thankful it is in close walking distance, I really hate having to use it on the regular. It seems to be stuck in the postal Dark Ages with absolutely *nothing* being automated. No self-serve machines and you've got to actually go to the counter just to buy stamps. With the lack of machine manpower, you'd think they'd step it up in the staffing realm. Unfortunately I've never seen more than one employee working here, and that one employee is never especially quick or productive. I know it's the holiday season, but I had to wait nearly an hour just to buy some stamps and send some letters internationally. And this was in the middle of the day during the week. Then, when I finally get to the counter, the guy was totally rude and unhelpful: they were out of forever stamps (both holiday and regular) so he gave me stamps honoring the Historic Negro Baseball League. Celebratory, sure, but not exactly the festivity I was hoping for. Along with the inefficiency this place is just sad. They're often out of the slips needed to send packages, there isn't ever a pen to be found, and there's always serious panhandlers outside that seem to have no problem staking the place out as the post office apparently doesn't shoo them away like the businesses across the street. Oh, and let me just say how thankful I am that I don't ever have to use the parking lot. read more

So disappointing to watch the decline of this institution. The reduced hours make service difficult, and the attitude of employees is often passive-aggressive. When I encounter a pleasant employee it is so refreshing. My residentialUSPS carrier is thoughtful, competent, and a blessing. read more

Don't believe the haters, they are just mad because they don't understand how awesome it is. A modicum of kindness towards the staff at this post office goes a long way. They are friendly and have a great selection of stamps, and when you ask them questions they are direct and to the point. This is the best post office I have ever been to, and I do all of my mail-related business there. And about the tape situation, you only have to bring your own if you are not sending your package priority mail. It's not unreasonable for them to expect you to have your items packaged BEFORE you show up, especially if you show up at peak times. read more

What is there to say? The post office is in trouble and soon we will all have to use either Fed Ex or personal drones. So yes, they are slow and grumpy and not at all helpful. And it's true that today -- the main shipping day for folks to get packages out in time for Christmas -- there was only one lady working there. And okay, it's also true that when a guy came in with a somewhat simple question about insurance through usps.com they told him to call the 800 number because "they don't answer computer questions." But...it's my local post office and I think they are doing the best they can and I don't mind the long lines because that's why God invented Candy Crush. read more

It's the post office, man; what do you expect? On the plus side, they keep the interior remarkably clean considering the neighborhood it's in, and they've started keeping the flat rat boxes where you can find them quickly. read more

Painfully slow. One dude working at 2pm and the line has barely moved in 15 minutes. Ridiculous

Terrible. The lady in the front was exceptionally rude. I was the only one in there and her attitude was unpleasant right from the start. I guess I can see why this place has such bad reviews. read more

Little Five Points post office is pathetic. Three time now in the past few months, I have been there and their system was down and they couldn't mail my packages!!! I always try to support the USPO but I get way better service at the UPS store - way more expensive though but the people there are so much more friendly and helpful. Also one PO worker told me that they couldn't insure my package but they didn't know why and didn't seem to care to find out. read more

Thanks for closing early in my face and not letting me send my package. Your local friendly Jackasses Edit: Once again they are closed 15 mins early, I wish I should give them less then one star this place sucks!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Workers aren't polite or helpful - you'd think they hate their jobs. They're never in a hurry and bottom line, could care less about customer service. The USPS is constantly changing their policies and procedures. It's so worth the extra expense to ship via fedex or ups where your business is valued and it shows from the time you walk through the door to the time you leave. Such a disappointing government function. read more

This post office is SO dirty, the staff is rude, and service is SO slow! It would be worth it to drive a bit further to go to a different store. read more

Why do I always want to go to the post office between 11 a.m. and noon? I have walked the half mile to this post office from my house twice at that time, only to find that the post office closes during this time period. Also, service is very nonchalant. Many times, there will be no one at the counter, even though they're open. Someone will eventually sloth out. Even though they know people are waiting, they will slowly process paperwork or check emails or whatever before offering help. I have yet to find a well run post office. read more

Come here only if your life depends upon it! The L5P post office keeps odd hours (basically its closed when you are not at work). There are no machines. There is a post box, but only takes postage under 13 oz. Otherwise you need to go to the counter and the counter service is enough to make a sane man contemplate suicide. I simply can not move as slowly or inefficiently as those people, it beggars belief what they do. If the line drops to below 3 or 4 people they shut one of the counters to make sure you wait at least 45 minutes. You have been warned. Now - the good bit. The pharmacy opposite sells books of stamps. Purchasing your stamps there will take a few seconds only. The Highland business center in Inman Park will handle your packages and give you options of USPS, UPS or FEDEX. Only use this PO is you absolutely must read more

Only go to this post office if you want to guarantee to ruin your day. Never had a positive experience here.

I have a very difficult time giving the USPS a bad review because you get so much for what you pay. That being said It wouldn't hurt to sweep and mop every once in a while. It seems that no matter what location I go pop in, including this one, they are filthy. So filthy in fact that if I ran the place people would be fired. That being said I mailed something on a Thursday morning and it was delivered by noon the next day for $15 and change. Now that is a deal! read more

Can I give zero stars? This is my local post office and I will go out of my way to not have to come here! I've never met people who hate their jobs more. They are unhelpful and rude. I'm so furious right now. I just can't. Do yourself a favor and go to the post office in East Atlanta instead! read more

The best post office employees I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. The lady with the short grey hair is the best!

Closed from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for lunch! Unbelievable! Who does that? Obviously a company ready to go out of business!

I got there as soon as they opened. I stood around for 15 minutes while they got their crap together and open the store. I approached the counter with my box. Typically any of these workers can give me an approximate delivery day. Not this woman she insisted that I had to pay for shipping before she could tell me when my package would arrive at its destination. She was rude but I eventually got an answer out of her. She was so argumentative about everything. It sucks that our tax dollars are being wasted on such shoddy customer service read more

Worst PO ever, save for maybe the one in Decatur (30031). There should be a 0 stars rating. If you had a terminal illness, wait in line at this place. It will make every moment seem like an eternity. The combine girth of the employees rivals that of the Falcons Offensive Line. Speed/customer satisfaction is not their 'thing.' Why should it be, hey they work for the government! read more

The lady at the front desk is very rude, no customer service at all, feels as she is doing you a great favor, not her job. Extremely slow service as well. read more

I've never had such bad service at a post office, and that's saying something. I walked in just before 10am, and it was completely empty. So, I peeked around the corner to see if there was anyone at the desk, and found a lady looking down at her cell phone. She never acknowledged me. So, after a while of standing there, I said politely, "Hello, are you open?" in an effort to get some help. She just looks up at the front door and goes, "The door is open, isn't it?" and looks back down at her phone. I had to get out my package and place it in front of her on the desk and start asking for what I needed for her to finally get off her phone and do something. Her name is Mrs. Walton, I gathered from her name tag. I've never in my life been greeted like that in customer service, or should I say, not greeted. She needs to find something else to do if she hates it so much. Please hire employees who want to help! read more

The worst post office I've ever been to. I'm a glutton for punishment because I keep going back since it's the closest to home. Service is excruciatingly slow. Often there's a line out the door and only one postal worker upfront. They are never stocked appropriately with packaging etc. One time they didn't have stamps. STAMPS!! read more

This post office is close to my house, however, I will never use it again. The employees clearly could care less about their job or their customers, and they are miserable and rude. I went in today to mail a small package and buy a book of stamps. After the woman had marked my package with postage and given me the stamps ($11.98 total), I gave her a $20 bill. She then informed me she did not have change. She could have cared less, so I left and took my business to the UPS store. No wonder USPS is about to go under. read more

This is the mellowest post office in town. Never a bad line, always pleasant people behind the counter. Occasionally not open during normal hours so best check ahead. Beats the evil, grouchy downtown Decatur main post office by a mile. read more

I had a terrible experience here. I had an envelope to send for a passport renewal. I had the envelope all together and had taped it at home, but felt like my tape job had loosened a little. I asked the clerk if he had a little tape, mind you no more than 2 or 3 inches of whatever tape, scotch, whatever, just a little reinforcement to make sure it was safe to send. He absolutely, rudely refused, blaming me for not bringing tape with me to a post office. I had already paid for postage and so asked if I could have the stamped envelope to take ihome to and a bit of tape and mail it from home. Again, he refused. Unbelievable. I get it, they don't want to have to deal with customers who show up completely unprepared, but this was not that. I'm using the professionals from here on out. read more
