I wish I could say this was our friendly reliable UPS store. It might have been in the past but not anymore it seems - I mean just look at the more recent negative reviews! Usually UPS staff are friendly and helpful but sadly I really had the worse experience today. The staff member was quite rude and impatient and careless in packaging my item to ship. I really felt like she could not wait to get rid of me. I guess it sucks to be at work on a Saturday but maybe don't be so obvious about it. read more

Customer service here is always great, esp with Chundra and Phil (I come here enough that I know their names). One time I came in to ship about 5 separate items for my business and I was having problems with my card. They were gracious enough to hold my items there while I went to sort out my card issues. No attitude, I didn't feel like I was an inconvenience and things like that will make me a loyal customer to this location versus going to the post office and dealing with that hassle. I have had issues with packages being lost, but Phil, the manager, was able to help me file claims to get the value of the contents back (once was very rapid surprisingly). Note: not an issue with this location - the packages were already on their way to the destination when they were lost in transit. Thank you! read more

Overall been happy with this store over the years. Highly disappointed to wait in line, to be told they could not do two notary publics. Here's the kicker: the lady said come back in 15 minutes I can do them, but I've been trying to take my break (which I can truly appreciate) and I don't have time. Accidents happen, but they somehow shipped another woman's package to my customer and visa Versa. Not only did it take me and the other customer to work all of this out with each other and then with a completely other UPS store they wouldn't even refund my shipping for the issue! You morons should never get out my information to another customer as well. She was nice thank god, but you have 1000% no right to give out my information to ANYONE. I had to refund a 200 bag for my customer to avoid a negative review for my small business. Asked for a refund for the mere shipping and box charge (25 dollars or under) and they said after being on hold that they could print me another label or something...categorically absurd, let this be a lesson to them. It's easy to not make an enemy of a customer by just simply refunding them when you screw up. I own many businesses and this store must be run by hands off owners. Maybe I've just been wildly unlucky, but my two trips here have both been slow as molasses. On my first trip I just needed to drop off a package that was prepaid for. It should have taken 5 seconds, but the line was so long it took about 15 minutes. The guy was friendly and apologetic, so I just chalked it up to bad timing. Then, today, I had to send a package and buy a mailer for it. The whole process (in which I had to fill out a form with my info... what?!) took over 10 minutes and it all just seemed unnecessary. Plus, it was $15 to send a package that contained two dresses. Yikes. The post office might be a huge pain in my ass, but this UPS location doesn't seem to be much better, sadly. I give this place two thumb-Ups...ok, ok...I'm a dork but couldn't help adding that to this review! Anyways, i'm pretty impressed with the customer service at this location! I stopped by during lunch to mail off 16 packages for one of our clients for next day delivery. I didn't have any pre-packaged boxes or mailers with me and thought I could just get all the material at the UPS store and pack everything up there. To my surprise, the guy was super nice to box everything up for me and put all the pre-made labels our client created on each box! To top it off, he gave me a 10% discount for all the boxes that I had to buy as well as a coupon for additional discounts on my next visit! This UPS Store will definitely be my #1 choice to bring business to! Plus I love the locations since its across the street from Ansley Mall! I switched from having a PO Box to the UPS Store several years and I'm glad I did. One advantage of using UPS Store over a PO Box is the ability to receive packages from UPS and FedEx. This store, in particular, is great about contacting you if there's a package waiting for you. If you have a lot of mail, they're great about bundling it up. And I usually drop off my pre-labeled packages here. I can't say enough about how great the guys are here. While I mostly use this location to receive mail and packages, the staff goes out of their way to make sure customers get the best customer service no matter what their need is. Most especially Patrick who genuinely cares about the customers and keeps the place running smoothly. You rock, Patrick! I definitely recommend using this place for your package needs and as a better alternative to having a PO Box. And Patrick certainly makes this particular UPS Store location the best in town. read more

Absolutely appalling experience at this store today. I have gone in the past to this location and not had the greatest experience, but as someone who does a good amount of shipping, I know that customer service is not number one on any list of any shipping service. You make excuses for them and move on. Today, I can't move on from the terrible experience I had. To begin with, I was never greeted and asked if I could be helped, even though there were three employees behind the counter chatting, two of them wore name tags that stated "manager." I eventually just strolled up to the counter with my package hoping someone could help. April, the woman behind the counter with an attitude that wouldn't stop, asked me if I needed postage on the padded envelope I was shipping. I stated that I did, and she meandered to the back, weighed it, tried to charge me $60 to ship it, realized that was wrong, and meandered back to repeat the process. The entire time she was also chatting with Phil, the manager, about how the lady in front of me had commented on her black hat with "fame" written on the front. When she made it back to the register, directly in front of me, she made a comment to the manager that the lady had a problem with her hat because she (April) was black and the customer who commented was white. I don't have a problem with chatting about someone who offended you, but to talk about it in front of your customer, who also happens to be a white woman, is simply unprofessional and rude. After those comments, I knew I just needed to get out as quickly as possible. I asked April if I would receive a tracking number for the package I was shipping. Her response, with a metric butt ton of attitude, was, "That's what I asked you at the beginning, if you needed postage or tracking or not." Quickly reminding her she never asked me if I needed tracking, I moved on with the transaction. She asked for my information even though my address and name were clearly written on the return address section of the package. She then asked me what the contents of the package was, and I didn't want to give up that information because it was something valuable. When I responded with "It's a gift," she stated I needed to be specific. I told her I didn't want to have that information about the contents of the package on the label, and she again demanded that I tell her what it is. I made up that it was "chocolate," and both she and the manager, Phil, shook their heads and laughed at me. To top it all off, she told me that to ship something that weighs less than a pound and which would take a week to arrive would cost me $17. I knew good and well that I could ship it at the post office for $3 to arrive by the weekend. I immediately stated they could have their envelope back, ripped it open, and took my item back. No word from April or her manager as I walked out the door. Bottom line after this novel review is that I am appalled at the manager's lack of control over his employees and their complete and total absence of friendliness and customer service. I will never again step foot in that location, and I hope you all follow suit. Go south on Monroe to the UPS store in the Trader Joe's parking lot, or better yet, the post office on N. Highland. They have some great people in there who are always willing to help and already greet me with warmth. read more

Sender BEWARE! On December 5Th 2007 I had a shipment handled by the manager at this location. I had the packaged insured for $4999.00 and paid the fee for overnight delivery to Los Angeles ($160.00). I was guaranteed overnight delivery by 10:30 am. PST. The package has yet to be delivered (12/10/2007). I package tracer has been issued. The problem....the package contained a diamond ring. The insured value $4,999.00 and the replacement value $9,700.00 are two separate issues. I have contacted the store manager and the store owner (franchisee) to get further updates. I have been told that the package tracer will take up to 8 business days and if it is deemed "lost", it will take another two weeks for the payout from UPS. That makes the payout after the Christmas Holiday. I will also have to file a separate claim with my home owners insurance to get the difference. (Plus the increase in insurance premiums) No telling if and how long that could take. At no time when you are paying for or shipping packages at the store is there a mention of the process and time frames for reimbursement. You are also at the complete mercy of UPS 800 customer service that has the boilerplate answer for everything. They have said that the shipper is the UPS store and that they will communicate directly with them. (What ?) It's my credit card they charged. The owner (Chris?/Craig?) of the UPS store has said he would sue me for slander if I pursued any negative public outreach. Solution....go to the premiere carrier Fed/Ex and get the job done right. One last thing the manager at the store Patrick is amazing and has done all he can. But the owner is an asshole that should get nothing but coal for Christmas. Please be careful when shipping with this UPS store location. read more

I can't get My driver to keep it real when it comes to making sure my package gets to me. Now tell me how much scenes this makes. My package has my address on the door label without my apartment on it but my info for My Ups has it. The package is scan and was left at a front door. The rental office did not have it,so what door was it scan at??? If it does not have a apartment # on it where is it scan to??? It seems to me the Driver help himself to my package cause he knows amazon will replace it. Why does the system don't have a match or address does not match the name before it goes out??? The sad part was they tell you this on the phone like it's OK. Well it's not OK,when people are waiting for a package they have paid for. read more

This was my go-to UPS store for about 10 years, until they switched management a year or so ago. The new(ish) manager has so many Glade plug-ins in the store, that you can hardly breath in there. It's absolutely sickening. I've mentioned it to him on several occasions, and he was completely indignant and rude. I now use another UPS store for all of my shipping and notary needs. The staff at this store is beyond AMAZING!! Chundra was so helpful with an issue that I was having with a delivery that the driver made a mistake on. I live in MI and was sending a package to a friend going through some health issues right now, so me tracking it down myself was impossible! My package was supposedly going to be dropped off to the store after the driver "attempted delivery" (which turned out to be untrue) and Chundra offered to go and drop it off at the location it was supposed to be delivered to on her own time if it ever ended up coming to the store!!! Who does that?! The package was FINALLY located, but she still called me on Monday morning to make sure that the issue had been resolved! I would highly recommend this store! The UPS store on Monroe Drive "lost" my package. Even though I was given a tracking number and paid over $50.00 for shipping, UPS says that the package never left the store, and was not received by the driver. When I tracked the package two days after shipping and realized that it was never entered into the system, I spoke to two different employees and was treated like I was the "bad guy". Finally spoke to James, the manager, who also provided terrible customer service. Was totally unconcerned and told me that "I'm not gonna lie, it's happened before. When I asked him to review the security camera to determine what happened to the package (it's a very small store), I was told that they do not have security cameras. What? In this day and age, who doesn't have security? Why is UPS authorizing a franchise without security? After 2 weeks they have finally admitted that the package is gone forever and now I have to jump through hoops to substantiate what was in the package in order to receive their token $100.00 insurance payment. Ridiculous! In addition, during the investigation process, the intended receiver of the package was called several times and "interrogated" over the phone in a very aggressive and unprofessional way. I will NEVER trust UPS again. read more
