I stopped at this US Post Office on N Park Ave in Apopka this morning after breakfast. It is a large post office. This branch has lots of rental boxes for rent. The parking lot is huge with lots of space to park. I walked in to mail some letters. The actual counter and postal workers do not open until 9:00. I was early so I did walk inside and use the mail slot inside to mail off my letters. read more

Make sure the mail carrier scans your packages. Recently gave my package to a mail carrier, however, she did not scan the package. The package never arrived at the destination and the USPS has no record of ever receiving the package, therefore, they will not accept a claim for lost package. Total loss. read more

I came to renew my passport and on the table before you get to the register didn't have any stapler just tape so I just waited until I got to the desk to ask the guy named Ardeyl sorry can't spell his name but that worked there to borrow a stapler so I could staple my passport pic to my my application and his answer to me was why didn't you have that done before you got my desk? I said the table behind me didn't have any stapler just a tape? He said you are holding up the line! I said this literally takes two seconds to staple my passport pic to my application I have everything else ready from my paperwork and credit card to pay for my shipping! He was so rude and had an attitude! I like this post office since it was close and convenient but if I ever go back to this post office I rather wait to see a different employee than him because of his customer service which was horrible! read more

Typical post office, but it did the job. I travel a lot for work and I needed to drop a box in the mail and this was the closest post office from where I was. All in all, it wasn't a terrible experience, but it was nothing spectacular. Post offices are a necessary part of our days. This one did the trick and I got my item in the mail while not interrupting my day any more than I had to. read more

Staff is great Note the hours are longer than what is noted online If you go during the wkend go early or go right before they close -- shhh!! Staff has always been great BUT there is one person I've noticed that is crochety as he## . But don't let that ruin your impression of this place. 99% of the staff here are so patient and phenomenal. Now I just think that crochety person is just HANGRY and probably is just hungry (i've been there too ) UPDATE; guess who ended up helping me? yep that Crochety person!! and I was right; that staff member is REALLY helpful and nice! they were probably just really HANGRY at the time! lol shh!! 10/10 would recommend ! read more

This past week my package was possibly accepted by the idiots at Apopka post office. They received it January 10, 2024. This is the third time the APOPKA postal service has failed. Ì would recommend that USPS close the APOPKA office. They're not smart enough to operate. read more

My review is based on one individual Ms Williams. I had been gone for 2 weeks and went to pick up my mail. She stayed on the phone without acknowledging my presence with at least an "I will be with you in a moment" I stood there for about 10 minutes. She retrieved my mail with significant amount of packages. Her attitude was passive aggressive with a don't care attitude. Her coworker Joel T was kind enough to volunteer his services with assisting me with the packages. I thanked her for her assistance, however she walked away without even a glance. I later found out she is one of the supervisors. It's very unfortunate because customer service is paramount in any profession. People step and be kind to one another. read more

This is by far the worst post office I stepped foot in. The employees are trained to not give you receipts on prepaid packages. Somehow the self help kiosk is either under Construction , not in service or not printing receipts. They expect you to leave your packages at the desk where all the public can reach with ease. After this post office lost a few packages I refuse to just leave my parcels on their desk without proof of service. I asked for a piece of tape and was told "we don't give tape for first class packages" I then responded with: "that was one of 12 packages dropped off today , 2 of which were 30$ Prepay express delivery parcels." What a horrible post office. We had a package given to our mail carrier (with a tracking number) go missing for five days before being scanned at the post office. The package then arrived a week later damaged. Filed a complaint and the manager Mr. Jones had no explanation and said we should have purchased insurance. This is the reason everyone hates this post office. Poor service is perfectly acceptable to the management. The level of incompetence is unreal. I stopped here to post mail and am grateful there are multiple doors to get into the building as when I pulled into the parking lot, the FL rain gods decided to unleash a monster storm and since I had parked towards one end of the lot, I was just left huddling in my car, hoping the storm would get over soon. Then another car pulled up next to mine and I saw the driver exit her car and run in and enter the premises thru a side door, which I hadn't realized existed and it was located just a hop, a skip, a jump away from where we were parked. So I followed suit and Yay! didn't get majorly wet! This Post office is a really long horizontal building (hence the unexpected gift of the side door) with a lot, and I do mean _a LOT_ of mail lockers. There's an automated mail section, but I went thru the glass doors to the service area, and got excellent counter service. Both staff members I encountered were polite and helpful and one of them, an older gentleman, actually went out of his way to check I had written down the Suite Nos for the address on my parcel (I hadnt!! so corrected that). Will be happy to come back and use this post office again, especially as its such a convenient location and the exit has its own traffic light, making getting back into main-road traffic really easy-peasy! Welcome 2021; it has been a long-awaited review. I have been a PO Box customer for many years, from Tallahassee to Miami and now Apopka. I have always had my deliveries on point never had any issues with packages until I became a PO Box customer at 581 N. Park Ave. Apopka. This post office has many managerial concerns, to say the least. When a package arrived via USPS on a Friday and posted to your phone as it arrived, you would think they have done their job by placing a slip in your PO Box so that you can go to the counter and retrieve it or, better yet, place a key inside your PO Box so that you can retrieve it from one of the parcel boxes. Monday afternoon, I arrive to retrieve my package. I open my box, and the only thing inside my box is a water bill. I am a bit confused and also concerned. I immediately go to the wait in line, and once I am faced with a frontline employee, I start to tell them my situation. I am cut short from telling them my situation and immediately told that this is not the window for this that I need to walk to the window at the end to which there was no one. So I said, ok, thank you. I end up at that window, and no one is coming. I am looking around as if this is some joke, a tv show of some type, and this is a practical joke. I was there for nearly 12 minutes, and there was no one in the line or in the room. I was the only one there waiting, and no one else but me and the employees were in the room. I immediately asked, "Is anyone working this window?" From the three employees that were there doing nothing, only one looked at me sternly and said, "oh, no one is assisting you?" I said "no" she turns and rings a small bell. To which, believe it or not, no one came as if it was supposed to alert someone since I could hardly hear it with all the commotion going on in the back warehouse. (People laughing and talking loudly). I waited another few minutes at this time I don't know how long I was there. None of the front desk employees cared to assist anymore. I once again asked if anyone is working or assigned to this window. Finally, the one that rang the bell finally walks back to get someone. Now, wouldn't it be easier for a front desk employee to assist me with my PO box? Maybe it's not so easy for this Post Office unlike this Post office all other Post offices do assist without any issues. Moving on, I wait, and finally, someone comes out. "Yes, how may I help you?" I begin to tell them about my package, and immediately without hearing the entire story, I was told it hasn't arrived. I tell them it has and it arrived on Friday. He said Well, we are sorting at the moment. I asked him, "what is the policy for delivered packages once they arrived on a Friday morning are they sorted and delivered, or are they kept in a bag until next week to be sorted?" He said, "do you have a PO Box?" I said, "I do," and here comes the good part... "Can I have the slip that was placed in your box" I smiled and said there was nothing of the kind. I opened it, and this was the only thing in my box a water bill. He said that it is strange that it is not supposed to happen. Well, with this Post office, it does, and it seems it happens more often than not. He explains he will check back in the warehouse for my packages. He returns empty-handed and states that there is no package for me. I asked how is this possible when I have it arrived on my phone. He asks if it is UPS or Amazon. I said, neither it's USPS. Then he asked if I had a tracking number, "of course I do." Once again, he goes back there and looks to this point... I have been there for almost 30 minutes. He comes back and says it's being sorted now. I apologize; this should have never happened, etc., etc. I tell him how is this possible if it was delivered on Friday morning. What have you guys been doing? I don't want to tell you how to manage your employees, but it seems as though this Post Office is non-efficient and should look at either training better to serve the mission or termination of certain employees. He said, let me take another look. I wait and guess what... he found my package, and his response was I found it in an area that it shouldn't have been, and I apologize for that. He said, "this office has many problems." and apologized for my time. This above mentioned moral is if you want the service that comes with a PO Box, go to another Post office. read more

This is by far the worst post office I have ever been to not once not twice, but three times did the postal man say that he knocked on my door and since there was no one home, he took the package back to the post office, and that it needed to be picked up with signature. I went to the post office with no notice, because nothing was left at my door. I work from home. No one came to my door. No one ever knocked at my door. at the post office no package was found. Later, when another package was supposedly brought to my door I get a phone call from the post office saying that they have a package for me waiting there to please come by and pick it up I spoke personally with the girl from the post office. Two days later I went to go pick up that package that she called me to tell me I had there and it was nowhere to be found. When she goes to the back to check she comes back and says oh the postman said he delivered it at your mailbox people you need to get your things straightened out. Mailman does not knock on my door does not leave a package or a notice like he said he did it and then people from the post office. Call me to tell me that I have a package there when I drive down there, which it takes 15 minutes for me to get there without traffic they tell me the package is not there it was left in my mailbox then I come to find out that was the package that was delivered weeks prior. I had already gotten that package. There was absolutely no package. This was something from a month ago. Then she tells me that she's going by what she sees in the system update your system stop giving wrong information and making people waste their time. Sorry about typos and all the wrong grammer. Unfortunately the employees make this place worthy of one star. Every single time I go, it's usually to mail something internationally. Normally I can just get it done without conflict, although the process is dreadfully slow. But one specific employee downright refused to help me! I told her at the counter that I was shipping a box internationally, and she said to me: "Oh, I can't do that. I have to go do something else. You do it yourself." What?? That's not how it works! Thankfully another employee stepped over to help. But that very same woman always seems to get into conflicts with the other costumers whenever I'm at this post office. Ridiculous. read more

Whenever I need stamps or to mail something quick this is my go-to post office, there is usually a line unless you get there at a time where there is oddly any people. The staff are very helpful and try to get you in and out as soon as they can. My most recent experience I was mailing a letter out of the country and realized I accidentally slipped it in the letter box with all the US letters, they were kind enough to find the letter and inform that usually there is an extra fee for letters out of the country. There are special postage stamps available and every country delivered has the same fee, they did warn it will take longer then your typical 3-5 day snail mail delivery. Overall friendly and helpful staff, I usually just like to see what new animated postage stamps they have for me to use. read more

Local mail delivery out of this office is mediocre at best. Regular wrong mail delivered to my home. Something that shouldn't happen with house numbers on the mailbox post and front of my house. Today I received a "sorry we missed you" not for a certified package. I was home, and the mail delivery person decided that the letter in my box was easier than walking up to the house. The USPS help line was useless and they were unwilling to do anything but tell me to go to the post office and pick up my package. Would love to hear from the local postmaster about these concerns. Can't seem to reach you by phone and helpline wouldn't give me a way to contact you. read more

This post office is always busy no matter what time of day. But the employees are all amazing I'd say. They manage to be personable and fast at the same time. This is my favorite post office.. and well, it's the closest post office to our house. So it works out. :) And it's got southern charm with the ceiling fans, and there are mini fans at the counter. Hey, it's the little things. P.S. Every single time I am there, without fail, a staff member is scouting the line asking if anyone wants (or knows how) to use the self-service machine. This is by far the worst Post Office I have EVER been to. The tall black guy behind the counter that didn't have a name tag on (he was wearing a black shirt and a chain) was so incredibly rude. The post office put a notice in our PO Box and then went ahead and sent our documents back to the sender. We are supposed to have 15 days to pick our package up! It was delivered on 3/12 and returned to sender before we could pick it up on 3/14. The guy apologized and when we stated that something in their process needs to be fixed, he got defensive and told us that we "can't just come up in here and tell us how to do our jobs" and that "they'll send them again". ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Those were important business documents that their incompetent staff sent back! Thank you so much for the apology, it really helps ease the burden of not getting paid from those documents that we were waiting on. read more

The Apopka PO is unable to read - and comprehend - their own Hold Mail form. The confirmation # they sent us stated mail will be delivered on the END DATE of Sat 7/9/16. Did they? NO. Did they deliver the mail on Monday, 7/11? NO. When we called to find out where our mail was, we were told the postwoman just got back from vacation and `forgot' to deliver our mail! WHAT? Our Duke power bill should have been delivered on Sat so that we could in turn mail the payment on Monday, before the due date. We had to pay a $2.20 fee to pay the bill by phone because it wasn't delivered to us until TUE, 7/12. UNACCEPTABLE. read more

Called several times.I am missing a package that was guaranteed to me by 3 oclock today. Wrang for 3 mintues the first time. So I gave up. Called right back the line was busy...so then I waited a while, called back and after about 3 minutes of ringing, someone picked up... then hung up on me immediately, didn't say anything AT ALL. At that point I was a little miffed. So I called back and it wrang for another 3 minutes. I heard someone pick up.. then they just stuck me immediately on hold... didn't say anything. I am currently on minute 10 of being on hold... Sorry if I was interrupting your personal phone call or whatever it was. This branch needs to learn to answer the phone. I work in customer service and talk on the phone all day.. I NEVER do that to my customers, and that is NO WAY to handle the phones. VERY unprofessional, scary to think I am trusting these people with my mail... oh wait. they couldn't get that to me on time either... Oh and they need to change their hold message. "because of the PERSONAL ATTENTION given to each caller you may expereince a BRIEF delay. A customer service rep wil lassist you MOMENTARILY." .."we assure you that assistance is just a moment away" 10 minutes is not a moment. Personal attention doesn't include being immediately hung up on or neglected by being stuck on hold. read more

I live in a neighborhood with 500 houses/townhomes and 1 place that the mail is to be delivered...in one room. You would think it would be easy? Obviously it is not. We have missing mail, mail that has been put in incorrect boxes so when you go to use your key it's not there OR it's the key to open the box is given to someone else. This happens multiple times to the point when I moved in within the 1st two weeks it happened to a neighbor. I get my neighbors mail ALL the time and have to walk to deliver it to them. Sometimes it's 6:30pm before they are finished and often there are TWO mail trucks at the office. We really can't understand the ongoing inconsistence!! Forget trying to call them to have them do something about it. WHEN you can actually get someone on the phone they make excuses instead of resolving the problem!! read more

Worst post office everrrrr!!!! I have mailed two packages from this facility on different days. The first package miraculously disappeared and could not be found even though it had a tracking number. My customer who purchased the item was, as expected, very upset...including myself! Here it goes again, I mailed a package recently and here it is 7 days later and has not reached its destination.
