OK, so I normally come here because I live really close but I am really starting to rethink of this decision. Every time I go I get somebody new and this past person I just left with my cuticles bleeding one hand of nails is shorter than the other and when I asked for almond, they're in all different sizes and shapes not to mention every time I ask for S&S, they tried giving me gel the top and it's very un glossy. I have been getting SNS for a year now. I used to go here all the time when I lived in Cincinnati and they used to do a great job. I went today and asked for pink with chrome. 0/10 experience First off they did not push back my cuticles or fix the edges prior to putting the dip on. In addition to not fully taking off my old SNS leaving some of it on. Then when putting on the pink dip they did not go all the way back on my nail leaving space (even after I asked him to fix it bringing all the way up my nail) then when doing the chrome he did not know how to do it and did it incorrectly (even after fixing and trying on multiple nails). It got to the point I was just ready to leave and will be going to a new salon to have them fixed. read more

Have always had a great experience at this nail salon. I waited to have my nails done for about 30 minutes. I was willing to wait. They told me to sit at a desk that was dirty, had finger nail clippings all over the towel in front of me. I was disgusted. Finally I got helped the guy was clearly annoyed with something and took it out on me. I have several scabs from the Dremel going over my cuticle cutting it. He even went as far as to put nail glue over one of my cuts. Then proceeded to tell me to relax when I kept pulling my hands back because of the pain. Didn't listen to what length I wanted. He asked this length? And before I could even get a word out he proceeded to cut it. Then all throughout my service he kept tweaking and fidgeting his head around. Excellent job. The well dressed man who slicks his hair back and wears a blue ring (he never formally introduced himself) took extra precaution and didn't burn or hurt me once. Although there was the woman I was sitting next to who was burned and for me the second the burn me or hurt me IM GONE. So I'm glad he didn't. I'm not paying someone to hurt me while doing my nails. That should never happen with professional nail techs. Amateurs hurt you or techs that don't like your crappy tips when you come in. I tipped him $20 for a gel acrylic fill in and gel pedicure. Charged $50+ for a single color fill-in, that's the same price that they have listed for a full manicure!!! I have never heard of prices this outrageous before, save yourself the money. When asked about it, they said that the techs can charge however much they want. They don't tell you this upfront, so you end up having to pay whatever they decide. I have never left a bad review for any establishment. Life is too short to be negatively impacted by something as "trivial" as not getting my nails done. I called last week to schedule the appointment tonight. The receptionist verified the timeframe with the nail tech while I was on the phone making the request. I showed up today. Picked out my color & waited. I was seated on the opposite side of the salon from where the tech sits - I didn't think anything of it. Suddenly a guy is in front of me asking what are we doing today. Um - nothing with you. I scheduled with a female. I have weird issues with fear of my cuticles getting dinged up by the dremel tool. It is why I make appointments. I am not comfortable with guys. There was a lot of chatter between the techs. Basically she was over booked. Ok. I'll reschedule. My poor review is because: 1. Nobody called to tell me to come at some other time... I left my name & number when I made the appointment. Seems like a no-brainer... 2. The owner sat there doing the nails of her own client. She didn't offer an apology or attempt to make anything right. Another simple act that would have gone a long way. 3. I signed in with 2 receptionists. Neither of them mentioned a thing. This is a nice, inexpensive nail salon. I only get pedicures, no other services. The salon is clean, well organized and fully staffed. I enjoy my the regular pedicure. They offer a "spa" pedicure, I don't know what the difference is. I get a scrub and massage and moisturizer of my feet and legs with the regular one. I bring my own color, they have a large selection of the OPI colors. The staff is always the same. No turnover. I don't make an appointment, I just walk in and I have never had to wait over 10 minutes. They have 8 pedicure chairs. I have seen bridal parties in there enjoying their mani pedis. There is a language barrier with some of the nail techs, but I can see them improving each time I am there. I recommend this nail salon with no reservation. read more

Don't waste your money. I've come here on a whim a handful of times, and every single time I regret it. This will be the last time I go back. I selected my color from their sample chart and when the technician brought the jar over to me, it was WAY different. I asked if she had anything a little more subtle and she scoffed and returned with the basket of samples. After picking a new color, I could tell she was quite angry with me - it's not my fault your colors are mislabeled. She started cutting my cuticles at a fierce pace, I was worried she was going to cut my skin, and I was right. She cut into my skin on 3 different nails. I should have walked out then. She didn't ask me what shape I wanted, just started to dip my nails in the pre-dip powder. I asked her to please even out the lengths and shapes. She again scoffed at me. I'm sorry, but if you're PAYING for a service, you should get what you want. She did not attempt to make any other conversation with me and rolled her eyes at me any time I made eye contact thereafter. I asked for her name, to which she replied "I already told you". So, whatever your name is, it truly doesn't matter because there's not a single technician there worth your time or money. You're just going to leave disappointed. My nails are uneven lengths, shapes, and the SNS powder is unevenly thick from nail to nail with multiple bumps throughout. Not worth the $40 they charge for their "service". read more

I do not EVER leave reviews, but this was such an exceptionally bad experience that I have to. I made an appointment for a mani pedi here, when I did get to my station to start the girl doing my nails disappeared after starting for about 10-15 minutes. Things happen was not upset. The problem was she started and filed my nails down for over an hour. I wish I was kidding. It was an hour process to remove my current gel. Two ladies had come and left next to me before she had begun with the paint. This confused me because I've been getting my nails done for years and have no idea what was going on. My nails were RUINED. (My nails are real not glue on) They were filed and soaked so long my beds were bleeding on my way home. The pictures displayed are just days later and incredibly painful. I mean seriously the one on my left hand hurt so bad when it snapped off (from doing NOTHING might I add) I mean seriously three of them have PAINFULLY snapped within days and the pain was AWFUL. Not to mention once my nails were done (an hour and 50 minutes later) they had me pay and had forgotten I had scheduled a pedicure. (But I was honestly grateful because the experience was that bad) as you can see from the fact there is no growth in my nailbeds in these photos, I can prove this was within days after my 65 dollar manicure. I want to cry thinking about this. I now have to chip off all of my nails and start over and I guess try and figure out how to heal them. 0/10 WORST experience I've ever had from a salon I want to CRY. read more

Let's just say I'm not in chicago anymore. Simple full set with pink powder gone severely wrong, I had to ask for the tips to actually fit my nail because they glued ones that literally left a third of my nailbed hanging without nail love. I had to ask for my thumbs to be evened out because they literally looked like slopes. Attempted a simple black cross and it wasn't even going to be double coated so it was see thru so I had it removed no compensation AFTER I paid for it. And they don't even have a clear coat with a pink tint and told me they did. Looks like I let a teenager practice on me lbs. it kind of ruined my night so I'm trying to be happy again because a service gone wrong can really be a damper to a night. I had a great experience here. I came with my mom and two sisters on a Sunday and they were a little under staffed. The staff present were very courteous and apologized for the wait time. Their collection of colors for a S&S was a little low. But the quality of the service was amazing. I am 3 weeks out and my nails look perfect (other than unfortunately having one nail break off yesterday). I have had a lot of compliments on how great they look and how they don't look 3 weeks old. Not happy with the services we just received. My mom and I went trying to have a good experience- we haven't been in a long time because we hadn't been happy in the past with our nails. We both got the SNS French tip. We mentioned over and over how we didn't want them to be so thick. They are incredibly thick. The lady next to me asked for hers to not be thick and hers were super thin and looked great! Our nails had so many coats and kept getting thicker and thicker- as I watched the lady next to me get hers done, she had WAY fewer coats than us. It's ridiculous. We were promised it wouldn't be thick and it was SUPER thick. No consistency at all between the three sets of SNS French tips that were done. Not to mention the man who did my Mom's nails was rude and when she asked for her white line to be a little bit thinner and he told her No. SO disappointed- will not be going back. read more

My experience was very poor and I will not be returning. They took my SNS off by picking it off with her finger nails instead of using their tools, it hurt so bad. They also made my fingers bleed and did not do anything about it. She didn't notice I was bleeding until the end and all she said was "oh" and kept going. The color I picked out was totally different from the color they put on my nail. I'm so disappointed. I'm not new to getting SNS I have been getting my nails done for 2 years and I've never gone to a place this bad. They got the powder stuck to my fingers while doing it and instead of getting it off they just pushed it under my nails and I had to pick it off after I left. This was ridiculous. read more

Great place! Lots of chairs and I went on a Sunday afternoon and they weren't crowded. I made an appointment just to be safe, but you don't need one. John did a wonderful shellac manicure with a glitter accent. The pedicure was great. The regular includes a scrub and lotion + polish. I'll definitely be back soon. read more

This was a terrible experience. I went to get a pedicure after the winter season and the person whom was to do my nails did a worse job then I would have done at home. The reason I go is to get the calluses removed along with the ingrown nails that I can not get to myself. Neither of those were hardly touched. Then she goes to start to paint my nails and there is leftover nail polish on all of my nails (some still have pieces of GLITTER) and none of the nails are even and the cuticles haven't been touched. I then say I just want to go home because this is terrible, but I am willing to pay for the work that is done thus far. They charged me FULL price to leave with unpainted toe nails that look like they were straight out of the Flintstones. I paid $32 DOLLARS for feet that looked WORSE then when I came in. This was the worst manicure and pedicure experience I've ever had. I've been to the salon before and am typically very happy. Today my water was ice cold for the pedicure and when asked to turn the water warmer my pedicurist made it steaming hot to the point where I could not soak my feet. My manicure was supposed to be light grey but when the color turned out the be bright purple before Christmas she was furious when asked to change. The second color turned out to be pink instead of white but we'd spent so much time there I gave up. I would not recommend this salon to anyone after such an experience. read more

Beware...they just had a huge price increase. I've been going here for years and for the most part have been satisfied with the service. Last night they charged me $5 more for a fill-in. I understand the cost of supplies going up and I understand a price increase every once in a while to keep up with inflation...but a $5 increase??!! No signs posted, no warning, nothing. There is WAY too much competition...I'm gonna keep them honest and go elsewhere. I had to pay $42.80 for a fill-in which was a $1 per minute of service PLUS a tip. FURIOUS. I have been going here for months and drive over 30 minutes from my house because I haven't found a place that does SNS the way I like it. I called ahead and made an appointment so I wouldn't have to sit and wait (which is what you always have to do when you don't make an appt). I got there for my appt and sat waiting for 20 min while they called up several walk ins ahead of me. So I asked someone what the point was of making an appt if I was going to sit there forever. She informed me they had four other appts before me and I would have to wait until they were finished. SO WHAT IS THE POINT OF MAKING AN APPOINTMENT?! IF YOU HAD FOUR SCHEDULED APPTS AT THE SAME TIME, WHY ACCEPT MINE AT 530???? I had to be somewhere at 7 so I had to leave, LIVID, because I had to drive another 30 min to get home. An hour for NOTHING. I was a regular customer and I will NEVER GO BACK. Completely unacceptable customer service. read more

So sad one of my favorite places to get a pedi. I've been here 3 times and the first 2 were awesome. Sadly the third time I had a seemingly new lady who gouged my feet with a razor and she she was pleased with her work. After complaining to additional staff and 4 others examining my feet a more experiences technician corrected the previous girls mistakes. All in all it took over 2 hours to complete the pedicure and when I asked for a discount I was emphatically told no because they had tried to fix their mistake and my feet had "many calluses". I should mention previous visits with my "many calluses" only took 1 hour. Sadly I will never go back on principle. No customer service here folks. read more

The service, for me and my three girlfriends, was the worst ever! I scheduled an appointment a week in advance and they couldn't correctly accommodate us. They said that they needed to stick the the "rotation" of nail techs. Ummmm.... APPOINTMENT! They knew in advance that we were coming. So my one of my friends didn't even get serviced until the rest of us were done. All in the mean while, 3 techs were walking around with nothing to do, but they had to stick to the stupid rotation! This is the absolute worst nail salon I've ever been to. I had gel nails on my hand and the nail technician was dumb founded on how to get them off. Uh hello your salon offers "gel nails" so shouldn't you know this? A little old woman took me from the waiting area and pushed me over to a table to sit. It was so awkward and rude. All I was there for was a white tip full set and they made them pink. When I asked why he was doing pink and not white he said "looks more natural",.. Uh I don't care, that isn't what I asked for. So he painted over the tips with white nail polish, which wasn't an even coat, and were smudged, oh and my total was 40 dollars. Not a fan. Had appointments for my daughter and myself for 9:30 am for mani/pedis. Got there 5 min early. Only two people working and one was already doing a fill in. They started my pedicure at 9:30 but not my daughters. In the meantime, more and more customers came in but no more personnel. They kept assuring us that more people were coming. Other customers were getting upset too because they also had appointments. One person eventually came in but took someone else because they had an appt. I told them we had appts too! How do you take all those appointments with two people working? My daughters pedicure was started at 10:10 am and we were the lucky ones. My manicure was not a manicure but basically, they pained my nails - nothing else (no lotion, no massage, nothing) After all that, they still charged us full price. Thankfully, we do not live here and have a much better nail salon where we live. Expensive and you don't even get the full services. The only reason i gave it two stars because the gentleman who was doing my mani pedi tried really hard to get us out on time. read more
