Social Moving Group AKA US Express Relocation has the worst customer service of anyone I have dealt with in my entire life. Any of the positive reviews are absolutely ridiculous. Our original quote went up significantly by the end of our move however, that was not even the big issue. When booking our move I asked multiple times if they were brokered movers and was told no. We asked when our pick up needed to be to ensure our items would be delivered by a certain date. I was told multiple times our delivery would be on time including the day it was picked up. Once our items were picked up by the company all contact was lost. We could not get anyone to answer a phone call, were hung up on multiple times and resorted to blowing up every single phone number we could possibly find when our items still hadn't arrived several days after our delivery date. We were in a new town with ZERO of our belongings, they had everything we owned and were nowhere to be found. FINALLY I get John on the phone who I was told was an owner (which he denied when I called) and he interrupted me over and over to tell me he couldn't give me any information about my items or where they were. He referred me to Ben who we called and texted multiple times before he would answer then proceeded to feed me the same exact line. Eventually our items show up, damaged, dirty and wet. The people who brought our items had nothing to do with "US Express Relocation" or "Social Moving Group". The nice man who delivered our items told us basically we got lucky everything even showed up from this company. NEVER AGAIN... what a joke. And good luck if you need to file a claim because they won't answer your phone calls anyways. If I could choose negative stars I would. Their claims to high reviews on other sites are being flagged as possible fraudulent reviews... surprise surprise. read more

If I could give these guys 0 stars, I would... I called several places for my move from Nashville, TN to NYC. US Express Relocation had the best price, Allison and John were fantastic to work with at first and made me feel like I could call them at any time for questions regarding my move. They also offered to hold my belongings for 30 days with no charge while I looked for an apartment. So - I thought I picked a great moving company. I called a week before my scheduled pickup date to confirm and was told that drivers would be there the following saturday between 10am - 12pm. Saturday morning rolls around and I didn't hear from anyone. I called and called (Ben, the "driver") until finally someone returned my call at 5PM, hours after they were supposed to have already been to pick up my things. A little back and forth between Ben and John, Ben told me the "truck broke down" and "maybe I should just call someone else." I was so frustrated that if the truck really did break down - why didn't they call to update me? I had no other choice since finding a moving company is difficult enough and I had to move that weekend, the said they would try to come in a few days. I trusted a friend to get my boxes, etc. on the truck and they showed up 4 days later! The pick up my things, and about a day later, I received a "new contract" which was about $400 more than what I was originally quoted. I called for weeks - cell phones, office lines, texted both John and Ben and no response. FINALLY right before NYE, Ben picked up his phone. He was extremely rude, and told me that I wasn't able to talk until he spoke. Finally when it was "my turn to speak" I told him that it was against our original contract to increase my payment by $400 considering I never received a call that they weren't coming to pick up my things, and received no calls back for two weeks while I left multiple voicemails, text messages, and emails to the company. Ben didn't want to hear ANY of what HE did wrong, and apologized for absolutely NONE of the stress and headache that his company caused me, then told me that I would have (in his exact words) "24-48 HOURS TO PICK UP YOUR SHIT OR IT GOES ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD." Mind you I was in NEW YORK and "my shit" was somewhere in GEORGIA. When my things finally arrived two weeks later (because I had to appease him and apologize) I was required to pay the final amount in CASH OR MONEY ORDER. They do this so you cannot dispute charges on your credit card because they KNOW how much of a fraudulent company they are. The two guys moving my things were SO nice, and... surprise... didn't work for Ben. When I mentioned Ben/ John and asked the movers if they worked for him they said "No way - I wanted to punch that dude in the face. Extremely rude to us - I would never work for him." Many times relocaiton companies rely on "partner companies" to haul things if their company is going in the same direction. They (Jet movers I believe) were fantastic... We were moving within town and needed someone who wasn't going to charge us an arm and a leg. Despite a steep, difficult driveway, broken stairs, and mutliple levels of our house, the crew worked very hard, never took any breaks, and took excellent care of our furniture. There were other contractors coming into and out of our house at the same time, and they were able to work around them and with them without anyone interfering with anyone else. We had several large, expensive items that they needed to get out of the house and moved to our new house. I was expecting that they would get 9-10 of them moved in the time allotted, and they ended up moving 3 times the expected amount within the 3 hour minimum. Everything was professionally wrapped, taken apart, taken excellent care of, and put back together just like it was before it was moved, and without any scratches. Other moving companies we spoke with wanted to charge us extra time just to drive themselves to and from our new house. The owner of Social Moving Group informed me that the clock doesn't start ticking until they pull up, and stops when they are ready to drive off. First, I did not contract with Social Moving Group; I contracted with Alliance to move from Georgia to California and they then subsequently subcontracted Social Moving Group. First, when Ben showed up with one person to pack up my house on the day of pick-up, he got straight to work after having me review and sign some forms. After he had packed almost everything, he told me that he could not take it all and that we were over the original estimate in terms of cubic footage (Alliance told us we were being charged by weight, SMG contradicted them and said it was by cubic foot) and that he had to complete a new estimate to move my goods. He quoted me a price over $1,000 more than the original estimate, and that was without even taking everything, AFTER they had already loaded up. There were a number of things that were on the original estimate that we had to leave behind in Georgia because SMG decided at the last minutes that they were not going to take it all, and we did not have time to arrange for another shipper or moving truck. Once we made it to California and arranged for drop off, we were informed that we were charged $350 for "storage in transit" and another $875 to transfer my household goods from the truck to a smaller moving truck in order to access the suburban roads on which we live. The moving truck they rented was too small, and when it arrived we saw that they had taken some of our furniture and tied it to the back of the truck using ratchet straps and tape! That was hardly a job worth an additional $875. Damage is inevitable, but we had boxes of dishes wrapped in foam and paper, clearly labeled "fragile" and "this end up," but they were clearly not treated with care: almost every one of our dishes were smashed. Our bookcases had holes in them that were not there at pick up, they broke a piece off of an antique couch that has been in our family for years, and managed to break a number of other miscellaneous possessions. We were also told that we would promptly be given certified weight tickets showing the empty and loaded weight of the truck (to confirm the weight of the goods shipped and for reimbursement from the military), but did not get the empty weight ticket. We called and emailed SMG until they re-weighed the truck empty and sent us the weight ticket. The weight tickets showed a total weight of 6,020 pounds. We were charged for over 7,000 pounds. Oh, and the people that delivered our goods left their breakfast trash and bottles in our yard and piled up packing materials behind some bushes. There was not one single aspect of my experience with SMG that is worth applauding. Even if you don't call SMG directly and are using another company for your move, be sure to ask if they subcontract their labor. If they do, make sure it is not with this company. read more

Scratches, broken glass, damaged chairs so bad they had to be discarded, broken legs off of such items as roll top desks, holes in the side of cabinets, and the list goes on. Worst experience ever! The only reason I'm giving one star is because negative stars are not an option. The customer service is horrible. I was given a false date of delivery. All Of my furniture was damage and when I called to let them know my furniture was damage I was immediately interrupted and told that they were "in the middle of something." DO NOT USE!! I would give them zero stars if I can. I moved with them from Knoxville TN to Atlanta GA, the first thing they do is look over the items you have and start charging you extra like"oh this box is too big to be called large, we need this much extra". They also charge for moving into an elevator, I've moved before and I have never seen this charge. Then after 30 minutes of debate they finally started to move, nothing was wrapped at all, they just took the items and threw them into a rented truck. After getting to Atlanta, they did a horrible job installing everything, my sofa is detached, bed frame was incorrect installed(now falling apart) and dryer was not connected. I was hinted multiple times to give tips because I was given such a "good" rate. Avoid this company at all costs! read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience! Seemed like a bargain quote until the initial estimate of $1200 changed to $2800 upon arrival. Moving from SC to TX, and they gave an arrival window of 4-8pm. Called me after 8 to say they could not make it until "first thing the next morning", which was when we were supposed to start the 16 hour drive. First thing turned into 9:30am. When the driver took over an hour to complete the revised quote (over 200% of the initial quote), I called John to negotiate the price. He passed me off to his partner Ben whom I had not dealt with until this point. Ben was EXTREMELY RUDE and insisted this was a "great price", and that if didn't like it then I could find someone else. Decided to forfeit my deposit and get a Uhaul just so I didn't have to deal with them anymore. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS OR YOU WILL REGRET IT! read more

This was my worst moving experience. Ben charged me a lot more after all my furniture was in the truck. He was also very rude and did not listen to me. This company has very little experience with moving antique furniture. My table should have been taken apart before moving. It arrived broken and now needs professional repair. If I could give this company ZERO stars I would. These people should actually be in jailed and permanently banned from this line of work. The absolute worst moving experience ever. It took nearly a month for all furniture to arrive. They kept repeatedly lying about where the truck was, and why it was running late. I sat in an empty apartment for THREE weeks AFTER the promised delivery date. Hundreds of dollars worth of Items (flat screen tv, vacuum cleaners, grills, paintings, dishes) were broken. The delivery guy tried to charge more after arriving, claiming that the quote was only good for a certain number of feet from the truck to the door. I had to get into a yelling match with "Ben" in Atlanta over the phone to clear the air. They also charged a 5% fee, which is illegal, for using a credit card. If I had the time and wasn't thousands of miles away, I would have made a special trip back to Atlanta to sue their a**es. They are lucky that I have a life, otherwise I would have made it my personal mission to put them out of business so quickly it would have made their head spin in Atlanta. My advice to anyone seeking a moving company in Atlanta...if you can't afford a reputable moving company, then perhaps you should reconsider whether or not you really can afford to move. Definitely would give them a negative rating if possible...Got a quote price of 994 and some change, moving day comes and the dispatch guy Ben proceeds to call and basically cusses me out for simply asking if I could get my stuff delivered the next day. He tells me to F**k off and they didn't want my business and they would refund my 200 deposit, they end up sending a driver who then tried to charge me 2100 because "I didn't tell them everything I had". It's been 4 days since I moved myself and about 6 very unprofessional phone calls later, still no refund and a whole lot of getting the run around. I never write reviews, but if this makes ONE person think twice before hiring them, it's worth the time to write. These people are total crooks. One, John, gives you a really low, super price after you tell him the size unit & how much stuff you have... you think you've done an amazing job finding someone who's going to take care of your stuff & is giving you a great deal on it, ... then comes the next guy, Merritt, he met us at the storage facility and here it comes, he says he can only load HALF of the stuff because it's more than you said you had .. which is a TOTAL LIE. So now, we're in too deep, we need our stuff moved, we have deadlines, etc, so we say, OK, how much will it be to get ALL of the stuff in the unit (he's at the unit), from Atlanta to Portland... he says $700 more money ... we say OK, done. We don't like it, but need the belongings, basically have no choice. Trip to Portland was planned with the date of belongings arrival in mind .... get there, no stuff.. call & get told the truck won't be there for 10 or more days!! OMG. They said this was in the paperwork ... maybe it was but it was NOT discussed when the DATE WAS DISCUSSED. It gets worse. Prior to arrival, an email arrives that it will be an ADDITIONAL $ that had to be paid BEFORE the belongings would be delivered!!! THEY HOLD YOUR BELONGINGS FOR RANSOM!! The total paid was $2000 OVER the beginning agreed upon price.... and here's more ... MOST OF MY STUFF WAS BROKEN & DAMAGED! Sentimental items that have been handed down to several generations, just gone. The owner BEN is the WORST CROOK OF ALL!!! Many conversations, emails, texts, he is a complete liar. This company will scam you. Ben Levy who claims to be the owner is dishonest. I contacted US Express on 3/18/17 and spoke with John for an estimate. Based on the information I gave him on the phone, the total cost of the move would be $1,572.01. On 3/28 I put a $200 deposit down and scheduled the pickup on 4/14 at 9:00a.m. The day of my closing on my home. On 4/13, I get a call from Ben that the movers will be late due to the I85 bridge being out in Atlanta and they will arrive between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. On 4/14. On 4/14, I get a call at approximately 3:00 p.m. From Mike that they will not be able to pick up my items for storage because their first 2 pickups prior to me took longer than anticipated. I advised Mike I was scheduled to be the first pickup but he stated (and later showed me on his work order) that I was scheduled for third. So, Ben completely lied about the I85 incident. Bottom line, the total cost came to $3,411.00. When I spoke with a representative named Jessica, I was advised that a rep should have come out to the property and completed an assessment. Also, I have a contract that future storage would be $150.00 a month. Also a lie. My first invoice was for $448.00 a month. I called Ben and first he stated the extra cost was because they had to use a larger bin and then he stated it was due to weight (and no one ever called to advise me.) BTW...I rented the same size bin in FL for $143.00 a month. He insisted to be paid in cash for the remainder of the delivery (he practically held my property as hostage) which I know was because he knew there would issues getting paid. I was given one quote, and then once the truck arrived for pick up and I was on a timeline, the price nearly doubled. Then I was rushed through the process, in order to mislead you into declaring all of my belongings as being worth .60 per pound, therefore, they were able mishandle then, even leave some items off the packing list, even leave items off the truck after being placed in storage --- with minimal to no recourse on their end. I was so upset when I saw they had left some of my expensive furniture off the truck, and I called Ben immediately. I texted him pictures. He replied, "Got it". So I waited, I thought they were a respectable company and he was shipping my furniture to me, but guess what? He said "file a claim". And when I called the claim people, they said did you declare value, well all you are getting is .60 a pound. This has been such a nightmare!!! I didn't see these other reviews prior to using US Relocations, but everything they are saying is similar to my experience. They were reasonable in price, then they changed the price. They were very helpful, then when I had a problem, they became rude and stop taking my calls. I am very busy, and they make the process of recovering your lost items or filing a claim very tedious. It is very one sided, all in their favor. I have moved with major Van lines, like United, Mayflower, North American, etc, and they never tried to trick me into declaring my household goods valued as salvage. And I could have paid them $5,000 to move 2 bedrooms of furniture such a short distance and not had this type of nightmare! I thought I was budgeting, but it costed me a lot more grief in the long run!! I had an expected delivery date, when I called the day prior to see what time I should expect them, the forgot to schedule my delivery and items had not been loaded. They agreed to pay for hotel. That didn't happen. They tried to get me to pay cash for the final delivery payment. Unless you feel your household goods is at this point salvage material and scraps - DO NOT USE THEM! read more

Recently I contracted through John his company to move my daughter from Atlanta to South San Francisco. He said we had plenty of time 3+ weeks to get her goods to her before she started a job. They picked up on the day requested efficiently. Not to my agreement, they "stored" her things and charged $75. They did not send the goods on for 8 more days in spite of the knowledge that she was in California two days after pickup. Calls to John were not returned on 3-4 occasions. Finally Ben responded but said the "fine print" said they have more than a month to deliver. The truck left to Southern California 8 days after pickup to a "transfer center". Here again no communication occurred and another vendor took over. Finally more than 3.5 weeks they attempted delivery. The truck could not make the hill so we paid for a shuttle service the next day. They "forgot" my daughters vinyl record collect and she had to follow them back to the van rental to get her records. The delivery was 2 days after she started her new job. All in all a horrid experience with no honest communication for service complexity, cost or timing. I can not recommend them. Vickie Cook Cost: $1631.34 I moved from College Park, GA to Waukegan, IL. I dealt with Jessica and Ben. Movers were there to pick up my items on 11/27/15. My items were scheduled to be delivered 11/29/15. However items were not there until 12/2/15. However when they delivered my items it was on a different truck than the original truck it was packed on. Not all my boxes were delivered and when notified they sent me a claim form when all I really wanted was my missing boxes. Some items were of sentimental value that I can't get back. I believe these documented boxes were stolen and not lost. They placed color coded stickers on these boxes to link them with the contract number. I can't even begin to re-purchase these items with only $92.00 that they were willing to pay. If I had the time I would have considered small claims court because the weight on those boxes were a lot more than what they quoted to pay. Ben customer service skills are less desireable at best. I have dealt with out-of-state movers before when I moved from Waukegan, IL to Atlanta, GA and had absolutely no problems. At the time if I could have remembered who I had used I would have went that route. But since time was of the essence due to a family medical emergency. This was a bad experience for me. Ben stated that he is the only supervisor there but in my opinion maybe a new career field is necessary. This will never happen again. read more

My wife and I moved from Atlanta, GA to San Jose, CA around 5 months ago. The team in Atlanta was great - a contractor for US Express relocation. When our furniture arrived several pieces have been damaged - it must have been turned and was delivered upside down and irreparable damaged. We made pictures, notes on the papers and filled out the massive amount of papers with MovingClaims.net - some strange P.O. Box company in Miami. Based on the weight and insurance we selected we should get close to $500 from them. Several months later and disputes they offering only $62 without explanation. Just the typical standard letters, what a great customer service they are offering and the other standard phrases. Therefore I was filling a claim today at the Small Claims Court - it's just $30 the case with all the documentation is very clear and it will leave a negative record on the business, which will be tracked by various consumer platforms and helps other consumers not to choose this company in the future. read more

I too had thought that I got a very good deal and worried about it after booking a move from Atlanta to Chicago with a stop in Tennessee. From the first call until the last piece was dropped off this company exceeded all expectations. They were calling to update us on the progress of the move. The staff was very polite and did things over and above what we asked. They came when they said they would and packed things very well and moved all of this in less than 48 hours which was so appreciated as we were on a short timeline. We could not have accommodated any change in schedule. They did call and update us on their progress. You may ask why there reviews are so varied and I did just that. Here is the answer I got - which I believe! Nowadays these moving companies have "brokers" who shop moves and then "sell" them to companies. The problem with that is that the brokers will say whatever they need to do sell the move. Then they hand it to companies like US Express for them to deal with unrealistic promises. My luck was that I called on Sunday and got the owner John and he made the deal based on what he knew they could do and then Ben his office manager took over on Monday. They both were amazing to deal with and again I really appreciate their service. read more

They don't even deserve one star. We experienced the same as the others. Excuses for delays delays delays. They were scheduled to arrive for pickup on Sat. didn't show up until Sunday. Furniture was either completely destroyed, gouged or scrapped. They were over a month late. Ben was just full of excuses. The driver demanded more money than the balance and refused to unload unless we gave him more in cash. INCREDIBLY STRESSFUL! You honestly cannot believe a word anyone from here says... I moved cross-country from Kentucky to Texas, and it was basically a nightmare. This moving group was subcontracted from Apollo Relocation Services based out of New York. Apollo promised me my estimate would never go up. Yet when SMG arrived on site at 8pm after they were supposed to arrive at 10am, the driver and helper had no idea where they had been all day or why they were 10 hours late. Each time I spoke with the driver on the phone, he never knew where he was. By the time all my goods were loaded on an Enterprise truck, I had to sign that I would have to pay $1000 more than my estimate, AND they didn't leave til 1am. Every item I owned was in a box, but they charged me extra because my boxes were too big. The number of boxes was included in my estimate, but the cubic feet was more than what I estimated (that they claim). Apollo asked for the number of boxes, not the size. Apollo assured me that they overestimated my space based on cubic footage so my contract wouldn't go up. Boxes clearly marked with Fragile and directional, were delivered on their side. These boxes also traveled with tons of other boxes on top of them in the semi. All my items are now in a storage unit, and from what I can see... my armoire is missing a caster wheel along with the door being ripped off the hinges. Both my washer and dryer have huge gouges and dents in the display panel area, and they have packed furniture on top of boxes then boxes on top of that furniture. Also, boxes are on their sides and upside-down. Now that I'm done with my move, I've learned that some storage facilities have recommendations based on people having good experiences and that not all moving companies are scammers. That might be a good place to get some names. Also, check with your moving company to see if they subcontract your move, in which case you'll have a separate contract for them too, and it's extremely annoying. If you feel that subcontracting is fine, Do NOT use this company! Their communication is horrible, and they will not handle your belongings with care. read more

You would only want to use these movers if you do not have enough stress in life and if you have more money to give away. The estimate was way too off. Initially the movers said that the estimate is based on weight and then when they charged they said they are charging by cubic feet. The amount that was charged is 2 times the estimate they provided after taking all information from us in detail. We ended up thousands of $ more than initially estimated. The people who came to pick up are so unprofessional and said that they are not going pack even though we paid for packing service in full. They did not take care of stuff when loading. The people who delivered are a complete different party. By the time we got our goods a lot of them were damaged and lot of them were missing. For the ones that are missing we could not even claim for loss at all. Overall lot of untrue promises made and we had to go through a lot of stress all through the move. Everyone blames others for the bad that happened across the moving company. We were just shell shocked to see the bad state of most of the items that were delivered. **Warning- Long Review** I relocated from Charlotte, NC to Austin, TX last week. The process started by me not wanting to spend 10K on relocating my one bedroom apartment so I went with U.S Express as the quote was around 2K. My experience, in one sentence is, "you get what you pay for." Initially, I asked John (the owner/Administrator - no idea of last name) what I needed to do to have my stuff delivered July 5th. This was mid-June when the planning began. He said "have to pick up Friday the 29th, not 100%, but will be moving the right direction if we pick up then." Sure, have my things picked up the 29th, they were 5 hours later of their window due to another job being a full pack not just loading. I heard nothing from the company until I was called on Monday the 2nd by a driver saying that he need to drop my stuff "tomorrow." I replied, "that's funny, as my date is the 5th and I do not have an apartment until that day." He was extremely rude and I had to call Ben, the dispatch, 7-8 times to get him to explain and admit finally that he released the load early mistakenly ("trying to help me out" aka not listening to my instructions of the 5th at all) and that now I was going to be delayed because of the holiday and the fact that their "50K truck" can't sit and wait for my "2K" load as that makes no sense for their business. Okay, so I am a less valued customer because I am a single female with fewer things rather than a large family and need to be concerned with how much money they are making not that they have my entire life in some warehouse/in Dallas on a truck getting wet. I was, at that point, told that the 5th (that I scheduled 3 weeks prior) was no longer an option and that I needed to not freak out. Both John and Ben promised me Friday the 6th between 3-7 verbally after we had a screaming match over the phone. I take full ownership that I was irate at this point as I was starting new role Monday and didn't have my things even in the city yet. Friday, I call Ben at 4PM and get no response until at 530PM, he texts me the driver's number. I call the driver who had a complete attitude as well and was told "I'll be honest, I haven't even looked at your sheet, I am in Dallas and I won't be there today 100%." At this point, I change my tune because I literally feared that I would never get my stuff. I was called by the driver (not the owner or dispatch) and told that unfortunately due to the large loads they had, they wouldn't be able to drop me until Tuesday Morning between 7-9AM. I was so upset that I didn't react and just said okay. I have to leave for work at 715 (due to Austin traffic) so I was required to have leasing open my apartment for them (who showed up at 855AM via text) and was facetimed afterwards to ensure it was all there. I was to be emailed a list that I never got, nor did I ever heard from the company regarding the fact that I for sure have one box missing, potentially more and that I have other people's things (see photos). The customer service with this company is about 18%, John is at least respectful and will hear you out and apologize. I was explained that Ben (dispatch) is so rude because he is "so stressed and feels the customer's pain." Not to mention, I've had to throw out multiple coats, sweatshirts, my memories and purses because they were full of mold. Overall, I will say you get what you pay for, I did finally get it, most of it is here and fine but they couldn't care less for your schedule or time or concerns so not worth calling or trying to get a response, you'll get ignored. I would highly suggest getting a Uhaul and doing it yourself or if you can afford it, utilize a real moving company. I've never felt more lied to or like I was in the wrong for things that were obviously out of my control. The worst part is the contract says 501-1500 miles, drop time is 4-14 business days so there's nothing I can do as it was technically dropped the 12th business day. I wish I could give 0 stars. We used Social Moving Group, dispatched through US Express relocation. At first we we're rushed to change our moving date 4 days early so our furniture would get to our destination on the date we choose. So that already gave us 1 week on an air mattress. Then on the date we were suppose to receive our furniture we called, to confirm the time the truck would arrive, just to find out the truck barely moved from the previous location. Days later: dodged calls and an email confirming that our truck is in transit. A week after the actual date we were supposed to receive our furniture, we were told that the truck hadn't in fact moved, and that our furniture will be loaded a week later. We had to deal with rude dispatcher, who wouldn't give us the company's name and referred to the owner as John Smith. Rude and sexist drivers, yelling at us and unwilling to speak to me, seeing as that I'm a woman and emotional (his words). Now 4 weeks after loading the truck and 3 weeks after the date we were supposed to receive our furniture, it arrives: broken and missing items. We will see how we will be reimbursed. Well it appears that Social Moving Group is a complete scam as I see the the other reviews. Anyone who reads this-please so not use them. They were horrible!!!! I relocated for work from Georgia to Dallas,TX. I was told in writing and verbally that my items would arrive on 10/5 or 10/6. On 10/5, I was waiting for my delivery. Called and spoke with "Ben" who would not provide his last name. He said that he would call me back. He did not. I called him back and they said that a number in my cell number was incorrect and that they had tried to confirm. This was a bold face lie as they had called several times when they were trying to get my business! Ben was nasty, condensending and completely inflexible. He acted as though he was the customer. He expected me to leave work to recieve my delivery. He told me that I was inflexible and that I need to provide him with a 3 day period that they could make the delivery. To make a long story short, I never recieved my items until Friday, 10/11/13 (they were picked up in GA on Sunday, 9/29/13). When the driver arrived, he said that I too many steps and had to call Ben. I charged an addtional $100 (cash only) for the additional 10 steps. My orginal quote for the move was $550. When they packed my items, I was charged an additional $176. My complete total ended up being over $1200 (all cash)- DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!! read more

This company has been a nightmare from the very beginning. They did not show up on the date of our move even though we had booked it and paid the deposit two months earlier. We stayed in contact with them constantly updating our count of boxes and furniture. The day of our move we had to call them and they gave us a terrible time stating that they had never given us hat time frame etc. The family that was moving into our home had to change their arrangements to move in since where were left stranded by these movers. Finally after numerous calls and arguments and threatened not to pick up our move at all we were told at 9;30 pm that the movers would come the next day. Once the movers arrived (11:30 am) we were told that half of our furniture which was loaded on the truck had reached its limit. I was asked what I wanted to do with the rest of the furniture and I told them to load it all on the truck which was less than half full. They then told us that we would have to pay more money to have the rest loaded. Once everything was on the truck it was half full. They told us we had to pay $1,200 over the amount. We also had to pay for them having to wrap our leather couches and dinning room chairs. We were told these would be wrapped when we first booked the move but they kept adding to our bill. come to realize that not one dinning room chair was wrapped. Once we left the state of FL we got a call once a week from the company wanting to know if we had a move in date and location. We told them that our agreement was that everything would be in storage for a month until we called for a delivery. We had the sinking feeling that our belongings were still on the truck and they just didn't want to go through the trouble of unloading and reloading. We called them on the third week and gave them an address in NC where we had decided to move rather than VA and they said they had to charge us an additional $400 for changing the location from VA to NC and then we were told that our belongings where in Orlando, FL instead of GA as they had told us from the beginning. We had already paid the gas and mileage from FL to VA and we didn't get any money refunded for that instead we were charged extra for having a destination closer than previously planned. Once we booked our delivery and were told Tuesday June 20 we called on the 19th to confirm the time. We were once again reprimanded and told that no such date or time was told to us! Then with repeated calls and arguing and having them hang up on me we finally received a call from Frank who told me that they have 21 days to deliver our belongings if they wanted to. The entire conversation was as if they were doing us a great favor and we were at their mercy. This company wrecked our moving plans both ways. Finally a week later I got a call saying that the delivery would be the next day but that they required a money order for the full amount plus the $400 or nothing would be taken off the truck. It was 3:45 pm and I had to run to the bank and then the post office for a money order. This company took a credit card for a deposit, then a personal check at the pick up and finally demanded a money order from the US Postal at the delivery. Their customer service and their handling of our furniture was way below any normal standard. They have no respect of their customer's time and they do NOT honor their estimates. At the end we were charged double the estimate. We lost many belongings that were never taken off the truck or reloaded unto the truck and many furnishings were destroyed. We can't even trust them with honor their damage refund. This company is a rip off and the worst credibility I've ever encountered. They treat their customers with NO dignity.
