Great Donuts!!! Been a customer for years. Tasty, freshly made, great flavor, texture, very consistent. Usually with 2 ladies at the counter, very friendly! The store is very clean, well stocked with other items for sale. However, a distinct difference is that the inventory seems current and rotates well (unlike other stores which have the appearance of expired older looking product, dusty and undesirable for sale.) Go early to insure they have your favourite donuts! read more

Mom and pop donut shops have never steered me wrong. I still prefer these to "fancy" donuts. I got a half dozen + 2 speciality donuts for just $15. The owners here were really friendly too. No frills place with amazing, fresh donuts, that's all I need! Free parking out front. read more

typical dozen donuts run about $20/dozen. now if you get a jelly filled or custard filled donut you will have to pay a premium (premium donuts) i got a mix dozen that included 4 filled donuts and the bill came out to be $27. i will be going back to Miss Donuts on Robertson Blvd as they don't charge a premium for the filled donuts. although they only take cash i would still pay $20/dozen that includes filled donuts rather than $27/dozen that included 4 premium donuts the establishment is a mom and pop store and i am all for supporting these types of stores. Found this place on Yelp.. Easy parking. The owners are really friendly. They took the pressure off when I said I wanted a dozen donuts mixed.. made it so fast. I was gifting the donuts to a mechanic shop. They lived them! I even got an extra donut for myself.. glazed buttermilk old fashioned bar.. not greasy at all.. light and fluffy.. probably the best one I've ever had! I popped in to grab some donuts before work! There was a small line, but multiple people were ringing up orders. There were plenty of options, I got some glazed and chocolate donuts. Very solid donut joint in this side of West LA. Decently based with half a dozen costing just less than $10 aaaaaaand they'll throw in any smaller donut at no cost! I've been here at 7am and close to 7pm and I can say their donuts still taste really great no matter what. I just dropped by here around 5pm today and still found a good array of some of my faves: glaze twists, maple bars, apple fritter, raspberry jelly, Bavarian cream and chocolate old fashioned donuts. Add this place to your list for your go-to work celebratory potlucks or random cravings and you won't regret it! read more

It's not the now out of business Stan's in Westwood but US Donut is quite respectable. I miss Stan's and I probably like Krispy Cream better but for a traditional donut this beats out Winchell's, most other chains I've tried and other local shops like Miss Donut. read more

Picture this: a strung out drug addict desperate for a fix. That was me following a long day of work. Except in my case I was desperate for a doughnut. Honestly, I was craving a doughnut so badly I might've just killed to get my hands on one. So on my route home I spot this tiny shop on Venice blvd. I figure it'll have to do because I'm far too tired and hangry to go on a junk food expedition. Although I'll admit, I considered making the drive to Randy's. So after popping an illegal u-turn (allegedly) I storm into this place. Dude working the counter was friendly and explained that it had been busy so there wasn't much left. I ended up grabbing a maple frosted and some buttermilk chocolate thing. The maple was delish! The dough was light and airy and the maple frosting wasn't overly sweet. The chocolate thing was underwhelming. The frosting was rich and tasty but the pastry itself was dense and dry. I'd like to come back earlier some other time though! Get a look at the full selection and see if it's as exciting as Randy's. read more

Preparing for my day of exploring, I had just hopped off the train and was super hungry. Conveniently, this place was just a short walk from the station. I could tell the regulars weren't used to outsiders infringing on their space as one whispered: "She's taking pictures of the donuts" -- like that's the strangest thing you've seen in LA...? Ha! Anyways, the folks working were so nice and helpful. The selection is made up of classic, no-frills donuts. I got a Long John with chocolate icing and a chocolate cake donut with chocolate icing and coconut. Both were delicious and tasted fresh. The coffee was excellent and prices were great! I moved into the Culver City about 6 weeks ago from the South Bay and have been wanting a good donut shop. What a find!! These donuts are light, airy and delicious! Not greasy and very fresh. The service great and price reasonable. I mean Side Car is great too but much denser donut and 3x the price! I will definitely come back and recommend. read more

Super clean little donut shop with absolutely delicious fresh donuts of all kinds. Plus they offer hot coffee, cold drinks, sandwiches such as ham and cheese croissants which are killer. The staff is always kind, gracious and they have always added extra jelly to my jelly donut if I ask. They take cash and cards but not EBT. There are little modern white tables with orange chairs to sit in and amazingly, their customers are friendly as well. If the store is empty, no worries, one of the Asian ladies will make kind small talk with you. I try not to eat many sweets but I love jelly donuts and this is the place to come for them, the only place for me. Highly recommend! read more

Nothing too fancy, but hey they have a great variety for a good value! Also it was POPPIN at 9 AM on a weekday with people stopping by before work. The location is really convenient near my studio and right next to the Culver City station, and they open at 4:30 AM! Not the best place to sit down and enjoy your food, but it's the perfect spot if you need a quick pick-me-up, or feel like making your coworkers happy. FYI THEY ACCEPT CARDS. Some earlier reviews mentioned they're cash only but I paid by card for a dozen donuts! read more

Great donuts. They routinely change their oil. I can tell in one bite if a donut place does. I worked in a restaurant and had to change the oil. It's a tedious job and restaurants hate doing it. So a lot of places use old or rancid oil because they are cheap and lazy. Not U S Donut. Never had a bad donut there! And they are nice. Thanks. read more

Normally, I'm not a big doughnut eater (I mean, I love them but I don't let myself have them...often), but the other day it was rainy and I was stuck in traffic on Venice Blvd, I wasn't rushing so I figured I pull over at the first sign of doughnuts and coffee, and I'm glad I did. I stumbled upon US Doughnuts. This location is kind of hard to get in and out of - it's in the middle of a drab strip mall with a busy and cramped parking lot. The shop is sandwich between a Del Taco and and a Burger joint (that I may try after seeing a line of people getting breakfast). The store is small and very unimpressive, but they do have a decent selection of doughnuts. I ordered a old- fashion glaze and a Chocolate-Chocolate doughnut. The old-fashion glaze was very good - more substantial than a regular doughnut, with a creamy richness. The chocolate was soft, moist and very tasty as well. Two donuts were $1.50, which seems like a sweet price to me - that's about the price of one specialty doughnut at Krispy Kreme. The patrons at the time were mostly guys, aimlessly hanging around, waiting for there moment to speak to the stars of the show. Ah, now I know why this place is a busy. A sexy, middle age and young hot Cambodian girl work behind the counter. Picture dudes with no game hanging around a strip club. The two women behind the counter were very friendly, very attractive and I will be back! read more

This place is Great. I think it's actually US Donuts, but I don't remember off the top of my head. Their doughnuts always seem to be fresh. I don't know how they do it, whether they're constantly making new one, or they just make them daily, or they don't freeze the dough, or whatever, they always taste fresh. I've bought a dozen donut holes (my downfall) and they'll still taste fresh the next day. The NEXT DAY!!!! The people are really nice too. I usually end up with 14 instead of the 12 donut holes I order, and the last time I went I wanted 2 dozen because I was sharing with friends, and I think we took away 20 or more. There's always a slightly strange contingent of people there because there's a bus stop right there, a Quizno's, a chinese restaurant, a Wendy's and then your basic homeless and/or lonely people. They have other stuff besides donuts, like ham & cheese croissants, but, it's a donut shop, who cares, really? (I hear they're really tasty, though...) read more

This place is like donut heaven to me. To me, it rocks harder than any chain donut establishment (YES - including the dreaded Krispy Kreme). It isn't the nicest place, so it's definitely not the type of place you'd want to meet up with buddies and chat over a leisurely donut or two. But, if you are hungover on a Saturday morning / have an inexplicable fried dough craving / need a dozen for a family or work party / baby mama has a 1am donut urge, this is your spot. It's better to go in the morning than in the afternoon, as the selection starts to dwindle after about noon. I usually get the jelly donut - my favorite - and holy mama, it is heaven. Red, rasberried goodness oozing out of a meaty, perfectly portioned and textured pillow of dough. We've also have had the chocolate frosted, toasted coconut, and glazed donuts. A must try if you're around the Culver City / Palms area. Cash only. PROS: - Awesome, nice-sized donuts!!! - Cheap (70 cents / donut) - Good variety of flavors until about noon - I smile, wink, do the macarena, etc. @ the girls which compels them to always give me a free donut with my dozen for a total of 13 (and count huge apple fritters as donuts with no surcharges) for only $6! Asian chicks dig me =) CONS: - Not such a pretty place to sit and read the morning paper - Located in a blech strip mall TIP: The sign actually says "US Donuts" not "US Doughnuts" read more

They're also one of the few places I've found an excellent rhubarb pie which is a weakness of mine. The cookies are also decadent and super reasonably priced compared to some other cookie spots in LA (ask for it warm, especially if it's chocolate chip - the cookie to chocolate ratio is sublime). The cafe itself is also super cute and cozy and I've never had trouble finding parking. I'm so glad I found this spot.

I used to be a regular customer, frequently coming in to buy half a dozen to a dozen donuts, breakfast sandwiches, and hot chocolate. I usually paid in cash and never had an issue. However, recently paying with my Visa debit card via Apple Pay revealed a deeply dishonest and crooked side to how they run their business. This establishment is actively taking advantage of its customers by illegally charging a $0.50 fee on all debit card transactions. The Facts: Why This is a Scam It is important for consumers to know their rights. While merchants are legally permitted to pass along credit card processing fees under specific conditions, they are strictly prohibited from doing so with debit cards. * Debit Cards (Illegal to Surcharge): Under federal regulations and major card network rules (Visa and Mastercard), businesses cannot charge a convenience fee or surcharge for using a debit card. This applies whether you enter a PIN or run it as credit. * Credit Cards (Legal to Surcharge): Merchants are allowed to add a surcharge to credit card transactions in most states (capped around 3% to 4%), provided it is clearly disclosed to the customer. By blanketing a $0.50 fee across all cards, including debit, this business is directly violating federal guidelines and breaching their merchant agreement with their payment processors. Untrustworthy and Appalling Customer Service What makes this situation horrendous is their blatant disregard for doing the right thing. When I directly confronted the staff about why they were illegally surcharging a debit card, they had the audacity to smile and simply say, "That's how we do it here." They are fully aware of what they are doing and are proud of conning their customers. They have likely been doing this for years, operating under the insulting assumption that their customers are too uninformed to notice or care. Take Your Business Elsewhere We all work diligently for our hard-earned money. Choosing where to spend it is how we support our local community. Funneling that money into a business that repays its customers with deceptive, illegal, and morally bankrupt practices is unacceptable. Do not let them take advantage of you. I strongly urge everyone to wake up to these scamming practices, check your receipts, and stop supporting this business. They do not respect their customers, they do not respect the law, and they do not deserve your hard-earned money.

The entire staff stood behind the counter while I was made to feel like I'd done something wrong. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. Mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how they're handled. A little understanding and good customer service would have turned this into a non-issue. Instead, I left feeling blamed and unwelcome. I'll probably continue coming because the food is so good, but I sincerely hope management works on treating loyal customers with a little more kindness and respect when honest mistakes happen.
