I've enjoyed Joliet Cafe for years-- whether I've come by in the day to get delicious coffee, or enjoyed the restaurant on a romantic night out with the wife - the food is always outstanding. Alex is truly a masterful chef! So just a couple of weeks before Easter, I reached out with this idea. Not only was he open to it, but he took the time to understand the vision and bring it to life. On the day of, Alex arrived early and prepared a beautiful, abundant "feast" that fit the message perfectly. It didn't just look incredible--it tasted amazing. After the service, we placed the charcuterie next to our lunch table, and it was gone quickly! So many people commented on how delicious and well-presented everything was. While their coffee is a bit of a lighter roast than I prefer, their current spring special - a Sakura black sesame Hojicha latte is easily one of the BEST Hojicha drinks I've ever had, and I hope they keep it on the menu or introduce more Hojicha drinks to the lineup.
