They deserve no star! I had a 9:30 AM drop-off. The system defaulted to "all day," but I showed up…read moreon time and stayed in the lobby. They still took people who came after me. I even spoke to the front desk and we agreed they'd "squeeze me in" -- whatever that means -- but nothing actually happened for hours. It took over 3.5 hours just to get started, and even then it wasn't done. If I hadn't said something, I'm pretty sure it would've been pushed even later. I was respectful the whole time. I didn't raise my voice or disrespect anyone -- I just pointed out that I was there since 9:30 and waiting. That should've been first come, first serve at that point. When I finally asked for my keys to leave, the technician started arguing with me and said, "so the other customers have to bend over to suit you?" -- like seriously? That was it for me. Completely arrogant and unnecessary. Then the front desk tells me to "show respect." Respect goes both ways. You lost my respect when I was left sitting there for hours and then talked to like that. I also overheard another customer dealing with a messed-up schedule and being left stranded, and staff gossiping about coworkers (not loudly, but loud enough for customers to hear). The whole place felt disorganized and honestly kind of toxic. No harm done in the end, but this is not how you run a business. If someone is physically there waiting, use common sense and adjust the queue. I genuinely feel sorry for the owner if this is how the place is being run.

I have nothing but positive things to say about this company!…read more From the moment I first called (thanks to a recommendation from my former colleague, who also had a positive experience with them) I have had nothing but a positive experience! Never once was I transferred to someone else, or placed on hold. Lisa took responsibility & made sure the work was done right! She helped locate my specific windshield, kept me updated with the order, and made arrangements to come out to replace my windshield. The only "negative experience" I would mention is that my windshield had to be ordered, & it caused a delay (a little over a week) - which still was a positive experience, since Lisa took responsibility of the issue & made sure it got resolved in a timely manner. During this waiting period, I switch jobs/locations. I had originally asked them to come out to my workplace in Fairfax, but I had moved to a new job in Alexandria. Lisa was more than willing to make accommodations, took responsibility for something that wasn't their fault, & have someone come-out to my new workplace in Alexandria. With each call, I could hear the smile on Lisa's voice as she help me get a new windshield. Not only was the call experience(s) excellent, but also the actual service portion. As I mentioned before, they made accommodations to my new change. Prior to their arrival, I got a very polite call from someone with Fairfax Auto Glass Specialist (I can't remember his name) notifying me that he would have someone named Marco come out to fix/replace my windshield, & the approximate time he would arrive to the address I sent him. The caller also verified the address & location when he called, something that I believe was a responsible & caring action (showing the effort to make sure things are done right). This made it extremely convenient for me, for I was able to notify my new employer when I would need to step out for a moment. Marco from Fairfax Auto Glass Specialist called me when he arrived. When I went outside to unlock my door for him, he greeted me with a friendly smile and was extremely polite/professional. He was able to replace my windshield within 50mins, & gave me a call as soon as he was finished. I was in a meeting & missed his calls ... & was a few minutes late going back out to my car. Marco still greeted me with a smiling & was very understanding of my delay. He waited for me to come out, to make sure I could lock my car, before he left. I have dealt with only positive, welcoming, professional, & CARING people at Fairfax Auto Glass Specialist. I will MOST DEFINITELY be recommending them to anyone (& everyone) I know! If you are looking for reliable, professional, honest, & caring people in the Fairfax, VA area ~ to fix your windshield - give Fairfax Auto Glass Specialist a call!!

I called them this morning, needing a very small repair. (My car's mirror tab had come unglued…read morefrom the windshield.) They quoted MUCH lower than I was expecting for any kind of "house call" service -- it was not much more than just getting a remounting kit myself (which I had tried last year, going through three kits before finding one that would hold for more than a few days), and he described what sounded like much faster and stronger adhesive as well. They were a bit backlogged, with a man on vacation... but after finding out that I was close by (about two miles), he said he's got someone coming to the office in about 10-15 minutes and will send him right over. That person got here quickly (about as expected, counting travel time and whatnot), was polite, friendly, professional, etc., and fixed it right up. The visit was all done in about 15 minutes, after which the mirror was solidly in place enough to adjust it, with no sign of sagging or weakness. So if your mirror tab comes unglued, don't bother shlepping over to the car part store, picking out a mounting kit, scrubbing off the old adhesive, putting on the new, taping the stuff in place to cure for a day, and kicking yourself because it's not *quite* in the right spot... just call Fairfax Auto Glass Specialist instead. How are they on actual glass repair or replacement? I don't know, and hope not to have to find out... but if I ever need such repairs, they'll be the first I'll call.
