this place is a hidden gem hole in the wall restaurant. they only do tacos, burritos, & plates, but boy do they do it well, everything is super delicious staff is really nice, and I hate to play favorites but... chile verde is the way to go!!!! There neighborhood is a little rough, and the building might not be too inviting, but man- they make a great burrito!! My husband has been coming for the carnitas on and off since he was a kid. I like the carne Asada. The burritos are VERY generous, and I really should not eat one by myself, but I usually do! But then I'm covered for lunch and dinner! Today was my first day at this place and the reviews are definitely right about burritos are so worth it! The size of the burrito is big and full of meat! The sauce they put on the burrito quite spicy. The refried beans they have is made of lard so your waking away with some authentic Mexican beans. I've been to other burrito spots and the meat is warm but at this place they had it hot. Though everything they put in the burrito is already pre-cooked, it feels like it was a fresh made burrito. They do accepted card with no limit but they do charge a small fee of 50 cents. They only have 3 parking spots from of there business. This is a bomb ass hole-in-the-wall. Amazing find! We ordered the original carnitas, chile Verde, and adobada tacos. I asked for the salsa on the side and ended up killing it because it was so delicious. The flavors were all amazing. My favorite was the juicy and meaty carnitas taco. It's alright if you are on the go and just need something... the burrito is mostly meat, now I know that isn't a complaint for most but when you bite in and just meat, when it should have beans rice etc... which it did, just meats was the main thing so it's a bit much. read more

If you want a great burrito then this is your place. My wife gets the chile verde, and for good reason. It's really tender and not too spicy to where you can't enjoy it. I get the carnitas because they aren't dry OR greasy, and the flavor really pops. Pretty much perfect. And I add some of the chile verde juice for an extra kick. You have the option to get whole beans or refried, rice, onions and cilantro and extra salsa if you'd like. I add cheese to make it even better. You even get pickled carrots and radishes, so good. It's funny because the owner is Asian and he speaks Spanish! It's not perfect but at least he's trying. read more

A coworker told me about this place in Compton that have some really good down to earth Mexican food,I arrived here and low and behold I could not belived my eye's,this place is LITERALLY a hole in the wall,there is a run down vacant lot next to it on the other side is the market they owned, on the outside this neighborhood is not customer friendly,make sure you keep both eye's open wide and watch your surrounding,inside is very small with an grade A on the wall,there are 4 frame's with business license's on the wall,cash only,there was this lady in the rear stirring one out the 4 HUGE pot's that look like an orr,the service was fast and the staff was super friendly,and actually the food was very delicious (seriously) they serve chile relleno,asada,verde,rojo,adobad,tripas,chicharron,burrito's and taco's was $1.45,there is also bar stool's inside and table's and chair's in between the market,no thank you I don't want to sit and eat here, that will be to go please thank you,yes call me crazy but I will return. read more

Total Mexican food snob, here. First, a big shame on me for living literally down the street from this place for over a year and barely this place a chance. I went here the other day for the first time and I was craving my typical go-to for first time Mexican eats, carne asada burrito and tacos. I first tried the carne asada taco... to be completely honest, I was kinda underwhelmed. However, I was still hopeful for the burrito. Took one bite of that carne asada burrito, and awwww man I was hooked! It had that authentic homemade taste that a lot of Mexican food joints are somewhat lacking. Definitely a hole in the wall but aren't those the best places!! My mom would bring us here when we were barely old enough to walk, there were three of us and my two cousins. We were poor so she would buy 2 burritos back then they were like 3.00 each and she would split them between all of us! I always wanted more! Years later I worked in Compton and decided to take a drive and see if the food was still as tasty 15 years back and yes!! jackpot the food is so good, the place still looks the same and I swear there is one employee that has been there all my life!!! Now I'm 32 years old and I still go there for their Green chile burrito with refried beans and yellow cheese, I always remembered my mom getting yellow cheese and its freshly grated. they bring out the container from the fridge its usually in a tupperware and they add it, they still do this btw.
