I went to go see this doctor for having an issue during a trip a couple of years ago. During the…read moreprocedure, I return to the locker, which they did not provide a lock for, and found that someone had rifled through my personal belongings. There are only two people in the office, the Doctor who was in the procedure with me, and the receptionist, so I did not bring it up because it was obvious who did it. In addition to this, during the procedure, the doctor dropped the scope and fished it off the floor, never stopping to re-sterilize it (this was a sterile procedure) and then loaded me up on antibiotics stating "a lot of patiences get bladder infections after this." No doubt if you are always this careless. I worked as a med tech for years in the military. Once you drop an instrument on the ground, it is contaminated and you have to stop the procedure as it is no longer a sterile environment. When someone did call about me missing a follow up appointment, I told the receptionist what was going on and never heard from them again. Fast forward 2 years and I get a call from a collection agency saying that I owe them money, I go talk to talk to them as the doctor is never available and well, the rest is just borderline criminal. This is the worst place. They should be closed.

I came here seeking answers as to why I got a kidney stone because I'm a female, young, maintain a…read morerelatively healthy lifestyle and kidney stones do not run in my family. I now understand why people are apprehensive about coming here. The pro is that you can get seen very quickly (within about a day or so), and that is about it. Here are my issues with this place: The space feels more like a home converted into a practice (which it is btw) rather than an actual doctors practice. Dr. Farsaii came from an era of doctors where it was more like "I'm the Doctor, you're the patient, do what I say, I'm right period." However, medicine has changed a bit and is more of a collaborative, understanding relationship. A lot of the machines he had looked dated. His model of professionalism was questionable. At one point, he barked grumpily at the nurse/receptionist and asked what she had done to the ultrasound machine. He also relished the fact that I was unhappy with the customer service at another urology center I had called. I couldn't understand half of what he said with his thick accent. This isn't my issue, but rather, his abrasive attitude and willingness to wave off all my concerns and certain he just Knew what my issue was and insisted I schedule a general anesthetic procedure to be certain I had a ureterocele. The nurse/receptionist said there was a $50 deposit (odd in and of itself) to schedule and hold the date for my procedure (that was refundable day of); the purpose of the deposit was for people that cancelled last minute or did not show up because they had to hire a nurse to show up for these procedures. I called 4 days before my procedure and 2 days after I made the appointment to cancel it and think about it some more as it was after all l, still a procedure, and I wasn't given an estimated cost (I explained this to the nurse/receptionist). The nurse/receptionist was fine with this until I asked for the refund of my deposit (I did tell her I didn't fit into her categories when I cancelled 4 days in advance). Needless to say I got a second opinion after leaving this office and boy am I glad I did. I would not recommend this place unfortunately.

I would strongly encourage anyone who is seeking a vasectomy to seriously reconsider. Do your…read moreresearch and fully understand that what you will hear from this practice is a misleading representation of stats and outcomes regarding the risks of this seemingly common procedure. I waited over two years to post this review as I know I can't change my decision, but perhaps I can help others learn from my research. I had a vasectomy done in late 2018 and months later started developing Post Vasectomy Pain Syndrome, a condition I was not even aware existed until after the procedure was done. At first these guys were great, they ordered ultrasounds, made time to hear my concerns but once the pain continued and no obvious answers were found, I was referred out for pain management and that was that. Two years later am still experiencing ongoing daily pain that will likely be lifelong despite a reversal earlier this year. I was willing to pay the premium price tag for the individualized attention of the practice, but if you are part of the 15% of men who develop any longterm complications from the procedure--you are on your own because they'll act like PVPS doesn't exist. Welcome to Hell. PVPS affects upward of 15% of men according to a 2016 study. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4854072/) The consequences are lifelong and very difficult to pinpoint. Their consent form is a laughably thin single page document which cites the possibility of some post-operative pain and complication, but PVPS and lifelong pain is mentioned exactly zero times. These guys are great salesmen. You walk in thinking, "It's simple, quick, effective, and has no impact on anything other than fertility and this is white glove service. False. Nowhere does it mention the well documented possibility of PVPS which has been known for decades. Had I been presented with true outcome risks and a true understanding of the longterm impact I would have walked out the door, and you should too. As Warren Buffett famously said, "Never ask a barber if you need a haircut" and never let a urologist sell you on a vasectomy.
