His whole practice is patient-centric where the patient's need definitely come first. His consultations will be missed!

I've been seeing Dr. Tashko since June 2016, 8 years after I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I…read morehad visited more than 5 endocrinologists before I met Dr. Tashko. My condition was getting worse. Other endocrinologists were unable to help and all of their effort was to constantly change my medications without any explanation and no results. I always felt rushed during my doctor visits with them especially after having had to wait in the waiting room for long periods, which was very inconvenient and useless.  Dr. Tashko is one of the very few doctors I know who is extremely passionate about his profession. He takes time to make sure all my questions are answered. He works with me to address my health concerns and makes sure I understand my course of treatment and action. He makes sure we are on the same page and understanding. He takes his time to explain the prescriptions and their side-effects, how they work, and the science behind them. He discusses several options, the outcome of each, and which best works with my lifestyle for the best result. I have NEVER seen a doctor who cared so much. He always prints out handouts for me to take home and he directs me to related articles and resources to educate me on my health condition. Hands down, Dr. Tashko is one of the best doctors and I'm so blessed to have met him and have him as my endocrinologist. After having two babies back to back in 2018 and 2019 I had gained a lot of weight and my A1C went up to 7.0. Thanks to Dr. Tashko I lost 36 lbs and dropped my A1C down to 5.0. This is the best I've ever felt about my health and physical appearance. I would also like to add that his staff is very friendly, respectful, and responsive. I always get a respond within an hour (on business hours) no matter if my inquiry is administrative or medical related. I highly recommend him!

Yes, the intake process is long and requires you to spend some time filling out paper work a week before your appointment. Big deal? No. I was seen by Dr. Juarbe, who was very kind and gentle. He was extremely thorough with his questions and was taking notes. He asked for labs I had done in the past two years and was able to retrieve those, go over them and then discuss possible options. I loved it! I actually felt like he gave a crap about me and didn't want to just send me off. My visit with him (not counting waiting area) took about 25 mins rather than the regular 5-10 mins doctors give you. I will DEF be going back to him and really felt like I was in good hands after my appointment. Thank you Dr. Juarbe. I only took one star off because I wasn't greeted when I came and signed in, BUT front staff was still very kind, but since I was nervous I expected a simple hello.

I've been going to this office for nearly 10 years, and have seen a number of different doctors…read more Dr. Juarbe has been the only one I've had a problem with, and it went 1 step too far for me. We've longed disagreed about the dosage of one of my meds. I tell him about the negative effects different dosages have on me, and ask him to adjust it accordingly, but he just looks at the lab tests and usually changes the dose in the opposite direction of what I've asked. And my state gets worse. During my last visit I was again in bad shape from the previous dosage change. I told him I need to be back to one of my previous doses; he just looked at the lab reports and suggested a change in the opposite direction. That's bad, but when I asked what the dangers were with the dose I was asking (which is well within dosages I've been on from other doctors in the practice) he just rattled off terms I didn't understand and couldn't catch. When I then asked what the risks of those would be, he said "there will be a risk". Totally useless information. I'm giving 3 stars because I don't have any problems with the other medicines he prescribes me. But this is a medicine I need to stay alive, so it's important to me. Lab work is important, but it doesn't tell the doctor about the side effects a medicine is having. And to blow-off a patient's questions is just inexcusable. Hopefully, the practice will get an additional doctor soon who treats the patients, not the lab results.

Clear Symptoms Completely Dismissed: No Diagnosis, No Treatment…read more I saw Dr. Monica Mannan when I was 19 in college for primary amenorrhea -- I had never had a period in my life -- along with insulin resistance, and other classic pcos symptoms. I was worried and didn't know what was wrong, and I paid privately because insurance would not cover the visits. Dr. Mannan ordered extensive testing, including large blood panels (around 10 vials in one draw), urine tests, screening for Cushing's, a pelvic ultrasound, and more. After all of that, she told me my hormones were "normal," said she didn't know what was wrong, and suggested the NIH. No clear referral was provided, no diagnosis was made, and no treatment options were offered. For a young patient with obvious symptoms, the lack of follow-through or basic clinical care was shocking. A few years later an OB-GYN diagnosed PCOS almost immediately and started treatment that finally initiated my first menstrual cycle. That was medically important because going many years without menstruation increases endometrial cancer risk, something that was never addressed during my care with Dr. Mannan. I am now older and still upset about this experience and the lack of PCOS awareness from an endocrinologist. I lost years dealing with symptoms that should have been treated much earlier. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this doctor.

I wanted an excellent Dr. for Type2 diabetes with someone (me) who has been in denial and was now suffering from complications due to non-conformance. So, initially she was empathetic...friendly. Her sliding scale was off ex. 10 units before meals because my numbers trend "high" and 10 units is not enough...I'm insulin dependent with issues. But I continued. My latest visit was awful. I had a hard time getting through...the receptionist kept dropping the call and then the phone just rang and rang. Finally got through and got an appointment. Dr. Mannon was dismissive. I've been on a pump (didn't like it) switched back to the pen. she of course suggested I get back on a pump. I asked her if she had a personal preference...she responded yes but wouldn't tell me which one. I chose Omini pod vs. Tandem because I don't like being hooked up. I had blood work done in Jan, 2026 with another doctor (alternative mind you much more thorough but expensive) she ordered blood work (ok). I needed long-acting insulin (ran out) thought the office called at least one pen into the pharmacy, but they never received anything as of last Friday. Was told by the pharmacy my insurance (BCBS-Fed) no longer accepts Lantis and will not cover Omni pod (ok). So, I attempted twice this morning to call the office (it wouldn't go through) at this point, I'm frustrated...no pissed. Listen, this disease is complicated enough. You shouldn't have to go thru hoops like this with an office. If you are assertive maybe you could handle an office like this, but when you are not feeling well you look for hand holding a bit and you need an advocate. This Doctor isn't that type of person.

However, when my insurance required a standard Prior Authorization (PA) to cover the cost, Dr. Verma explicitly told me that she 'does not do any forms for a preauthorization.' This is a major failure in patient care. By refusing to complete the administrative paperwork necessary for me to access the medicine she herself prescribed, she has effectively blocked my treatment. A doctor who refuses to assist with the insurance process is essentially denying you the care you pay for. If you require a medication that isn't a basic generic, be warned: this office will likely refuse to help you get it approved by your insurance. I have had to file formal complaints with the Maryland Board of Physicians and the Attorney General's Health Education and Advocacy Unit because of this negligence. Avoid this provider if you want a doctor who actually follows through on your treatment plan. Luckily, I only wasted a couple of months with this office. Like others, I would have given 0 stars if I could.

When I showed up, I was told the appointment had been cancelled because I "didn't confirm," even though I had proof of the voicemail. When I showed them proof of confirmation, they said it was an error /communication gap in their system but they couldn't help me. I took time off work for this visit, and instead of taking responsibility or trying to fit me in, the staff were dismissive and rude. The doctor refused to see me or make any effort to accommodate, even though this was their scheduling error. They offered me another appointment three weeks later, which is unacceptable for a patient who showed up 15 mins early to a confirmed visit. The entire experience was unprofessional and showed a complete lack of accountability or empathy. I would strongly encourage others to search for a different doctor. I hope Privia Medical Group reviews their processes and patient service standards.
