Doctor Tashko was my endocrinologist for over four years until we moved to Texas three months ago…read more He is an outstanding physician: incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely caring about his patients - spending as much time as was needed to answer all of my questions and concerns without hurrying through any part of the appointment. His whole practice is patient-centric where the patient's need definitely come first. His consultations will be missed!

I've been seeing Dr. Tashko since June 2016, 8 years after I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. I…read morehad visited more than 5 endocrinologists before I met Dr. Tashko. My condition was getting worse. Other endocrinologists were unable to help and all of their effort was to constantly change my medications without any explanation and no results. I always felt rushed during my doctor visits with them especially after having had to wait in the waiting room for long periods, which was very inconvenient and useless.  Dr. Tashko is one of the very few doctors I know who is extremely passionate about his profession. He takes time to make sure all my questions are answered. He works with me to address my health concerns and makes sure I understand my course of treatment and action. He makes sure we are on the same page and understanding. He takes his time to explain the prescriptions and their side-effects, how they work, and the science behind them. He discusses several options, the outcome of each, and which best works with my lifestyle for the best result. I have NEVER seen a doctor who cared so much. He always prints out handouts for me to take home and he directs me to related articles and resources to educate me on my health condition. Hands down, Dr. Tashko is one of the best doctors and I'm so blessed to have met him and have him as my endocrinologist. After having two babies back to back in 2018 and 2019 I had gained a lot of weight and my A1C went up to 7.0. Thanks to Dr. Tashko I lost 36 lbs and dropped my A1C down to 5.0. This is the best I've ever felt about my health and physical appearance. I would also like to add that his staff is very friendly, respectful, and responsive. I always get a respond within an hour (on business hours) no matter if my inquiry is administrative or medical related. I highly recommend him!

Communication - Dr Joshi is extremely responsive in the online messaging portal, and so does the staff. There was once I could not locate an MRI order and I shoot her a message in the morning, she replied in the afternoon informing me it was just issued and uploaded to the portal. This is something I am still in awe with the medical system. We are in 2023 and we are primarily still calling back and forth the doctor's office. Endocrinology is complex but I feel that Dr Joshi does a good job in explaining my diagnosis in lament terms and outlining the treatment plan. She is also practical in the sense that if there is no need for follow up or further testing, she will let you know and not waste your time. My previous doctor insisted on regular visits with no concrete goals and plans which I felt was a waste of medical resource and my deductible. I have overall had good experience with their front desk staff. It can be hard to reach them some time, but they are generally easy to reach early in the morning or right after lunch at 1pm.

My mother and I called to set up an appointment with this physician and were told she would have to…read morepay $2500 to be a member before she could be seen as a patient. The concept of a concierge type of practice is a pure scam. This provider not only charges your insurance but also charges you to be a member of her practice. This isn't patient-centered care, this is someone who wants to overcharge you while claiming they are helping you by accepting only a certain number of patients. Her reviews are very questionable and I would not recommend any provider attempting to overcharge patients to make money off of them. Scam, Scam, Scam! Shame on you for doing that! There are tons of endocrinologists in the DMV, don't waste your money on this one who is full of greed unless you want to pay thousands of dollars to a provider who only wants to make money off of you.

All Dr. Crantz focused on was my weight, dictated his clinical notes in front of me saying I didn't have the disease I had, and that I simply needed to lose weight. I went in to have my thyroid checked (a wonderful by-product of my first Afghanistan deployment) and potentially adjust my dosage levels. He listened - somewhat eccentrically - to me describing the situation and then detailed his treatment strategy that he was going to go through. It jived with my internet research on the subject so I went with it. My only complaint was this overweight Persian woman who insisted on yelling into her phone for 30 minutes while we were in the waiting room. The nurses did nothing about it and right when I hit my breaking point and was about to say something did she go back for her appointment. It makes me want to go buy the cell-phone jammer and keep it on me for such occasions. Even if they are illegal. I'll go back - better than what I can say about the VA!
